  1. The question was answered Bruce so you can stop trying to clarify questions now.
  2. thanks. The club need to be more affordable and get fans back interested and back to Ewood Park who aren't like me. They need new ideas with new incentives. Plus need to get people interested at such an early age
  3. cos all 3 of them know what changes need to county structure, How England should play, appointing 2 head coaches and the test captain appointment. Strauss had only worked in the media before he got the role and look at the improvement that happened. England have 5 key decisions to make before the New Zealand test and white ball series and the first one of them is who is Strauss going to appoint as The new Director of cricket. I'm sure plenty of people have applied and would have like Mike Hesson to have applied but he is not interested in the role. So out of the people that the media have reported applied for the job I would go for either Durham's director of cricket Marcus North or Ed Smith. I hope someone like Paul Farbrace has applied as I think he has good ideas and knows the international and county game. Whoever is appointed as Director of cricket need to appoint an new National selector, new test coach, new white ball coach and sort of the test captaincy future whether they back Root or moved to new captain.
  4. But Venkys cover their losses so that's why the club or the Venky's London Limited will never go in administration
  5. Dack should start against Coventry and if we are going to playoff place then Dack will key player in that.
  6. I didn't know about the music band was on. Didn't see any adverts but fair enough. Its was to work with Blues and give people different options. Blues bar is struggling cos of the cost of food and drinks and entry fee. People aren't going to keep paying high prices for poor quality food. How often is the blues bar open on non match days? Rovers could have bought and invest in the 3 pubs near the ground. Plus there is plenty of car parking facilities near the ground near the Empire theatre. They could have bought the Fox and Hounds pub, aqueduct in pub before it became a bike shop where you have served food like burgers, hot dog, chips, waffles, etc outside. They could have bought Fernhurst pub in years gone past. It would have increase revenue for the club on not match days and earn the club more money. If the club make the food and drink more affordable then it would more busier and popular.
  7. You keep trying to keep come up with different scenarios. I would give Mowbray a new contract if we get top 6 and playoff place as I said a few times, but if he decided to play Johnson again up front again from the start in any games he deserves the sack and need to go.
  8. Yes they were but given that Mowbray has been for 5 years now, its very likely I would have thought they have sign contract extension during that period
  9. Ministers and the Premier League will be presented with a preferred bid for Chelsea in three weeks time, paving the way for a change in ownership by the end of next month. https://twitter.com/SkySportsNews/status/1508412163156754444?s=20&t=0d0bOo11o3C5gpPCjgzr8A
  10. https://twitter.com/Cricket_TS/status/1508375844325974019?s=20&t=4AC85j-NHyvUF0GoLL-kug A podcast with Mark Nicholas, Matt Prior, etc discussing the current problems within the England cricket team, captain future, and many more things very good listen and some good opinions in this podcast
  11. Mark Nicholas is latest name to be linked with England's director of cricket role Mark Nicholas emerges as latest shock contender to become England cricket chief (msn.com) Respectable Cricket Journalist Mike Walters view on England and what should happen in the future which in view should be Ben Stokes has Test cricket captain and Langer should be appoint head coach England must get ruthless - sack Joe Root, appoint Ben Stokes and bring in Justin Langer (msn.com)
  12. if you want to be that view point. Kaminski didn't need to mention him but he did. So that's tell a story in my opinion
  13. And what happens if we went to Luton and won 5 nil and then got the playoff final and won promotion? Bruce, I have been very clear my view and where and when I would offer a new contract to Mowbray. Whether Mowbray to stay on might be a different answer if Miller11 is right with his view
  14. very exciting and enjoyable grand prix race. Plenty of over taking by most drivers. On to the Australia grand prix now
  15. @AllRoverAsiaHere is well respected Cricket journalist Paul Newman suggesting Sam Billings to become England Test Captain. Also says Marcus North remains the favourite for The England director of cricket role. PAUL NEWMAN: Joe Root's race is run as Test captain - I would give it to Sam Billings | Daily Mail Online
  16. Atherton, Hussain, Compton, Harmison all saying after today test match loss that Root should be replace as Test Captain. 2 names I have seen mention today and they are Ben Stokes and Stuart Board to replace Root. We need to speak to Stokes about where he is mentally and whether he wants to take on the captain challenge. If not then give Board it for summer then reassess after the Summer test series against New Zealand, India and South Africa. If Alex Lees can step up into the captain if he can perform in the summer and be the long term captain
  17. surely that would be logically since they are Mowbray's appointment tho Kaminski has praised Benson coaching method and getting the best from him. A new manager/head coach should be allow to bring in his own staff to a point.
  18. If Mowbray's contract is up then won't Venus, Lowe and Benson contracts be up aswell?
  19. Playoff place was the minimum requirement at Christmas time when we were 2nd or 3rd. Whether we achieve on goal difference or by a point it doesn't matter If we don't finish top 6 then we need a change of manager/head coach. Can't be any more clearer than I have been
  20. Strauss need to interview in the next 2 weeks to appoint a new England director of cricket by end of April whether it be Ed Smith, Marcus North, Rob Key or Tom Moody. Then we need a National Chief selector and Test head coach appointing within 2 weeks. Then we can sort out the England test captain situation before the New Zealand series
  21. A playoff place gives us the opportunity for promotion whilst 7th doesn't. Also given our position at Christmas finishing top 6 should be the minimum requirement. Outside the top 6 finish and I think we need a new manager/head coach to move us forward next season with new ideas, signing players, bringing through academy players and good tactical and man management skills.
  22. Well who is going to answer your questions you posted on here? Blackpool have the tickets already and had them all last week. Just not put them on sale yet according to fans of Blackpool. Rovers should and need to factor this into the price of season ticket for next season and prices of club merchandise and food/drinks on the concourse. Can I asked what has been discussed between the fans forum and the club around the price of next season ticket prices, different ticket schemes and cost of club merchandise/ food and drink within the stadium? Alot of it depends on people situation and what other costs they have. Going to Rovers is my main social event and I can afford it, but other people and supporters are struggling with costs of living and Rovers should take this into account and drop the prices of tickets for matches and season tickets this season plus a number of other schemes. I would be offering Season tickets in Blackburn End, family stand area and the Riverside stand for £300, Jack Walker for £350 if you purchase before End of May as an Early Bird offer. After May Those would increased to £340 and £390. This would be adults. Any child under the age of 11 would cos a pound for season ticket for all areas. between 11 and 16 would be £25. Between 16 to 21 would be £100 and for seniors my price would £120 for Blackburn End and Riverside stand, 140 pounds for the Jack Walker stand. Also for any fan who purchase a season ticket under the early bird scheme would get a 25% reduction on a Home or away shirt to be purchase before the end of October. Also any season ticket holder under the age of 16 or senior would receive a 50% reduction on Rovers hat, scarf and gloves set Match day prices would 15 pounds for midweek game but reduce to 10 pounds if you been to previous midweek game that season. Prices for weekend games would be 20 pounds but reduce to 15 pounds if you have been to previous weekend game that season. Also If any fan who has been to 5 games would receive a 20% of Rovers home or away shirt that season.
  23. I was going to asked what do think their numbers would be in favour of a safe standing area and where would be best stand/area for it? Rovers should have done an extensive consultation period on the safe standing and where would be best for it in past 18 months as I believe other clubs have done. The club has done great work within the community and bringing young people to games which should be applaud but Rovers and Waggott should have done more work and research in trying to get past season ticket holders back to the club and interested in the club. Rovers have the perfect opportunity to do this research between January 2021 to May 2021 whether it through questionnaires posted or send by email or even ringing people up. Rovers need more money investing in stadium whether its certain facilities fans want and the club. I think whether improving car parking facilities or building a pub on the land near the Jack Walker stand/Darwen end corner. Or having Music bands on after the game on Saturday. The food at Ewood Park needs massive improving and the cost of the current food and drinks is over priced and not good enough quality for the cost of it. Plus I would like to see a reduction on the cost of products within the club shop and make it more affordable for fans who are struggling financially. There is a number of changes and improvements that need to happen this summer and beyond.
  24. I can't see that being true cos the selectors were Andrew Strauss and James Taylor. Strauss has said that Root's future would be decide by the new director of cricket whoever that is. It does appears to be between 4 candidates which have been reported has Durham's director of cricket Marcus North, Ed Smith, Rob Key and Sri Lanka's director of cricket Tom Moody. Which of those 4 choices would be the right candidate to become the new Director of Cricket for the Eng;and? I can't see Billings being the replacement for Root when that decision happens. But the candidates within the squad look like Ben Stokes, Stuart Board and Left field choice Alex Lees(who has captain experience with Yorkshire and with the England Lions.
  25. would this be the article you read? Next England cricket captain: Joe Root's time is up, the ECB should send for Sam Billings (inews.co.uk) Billings would deffo be a left field appointment I spoken and posted about yesterday, similar to my suggestion of Tom Abell from Somerset. Maybe Stuart Board could do the job for the Summer test series as short term appointment The decision of stripping Root of the captaincy and who will be appoint as test captain will be decide by whoever gets appoint as England director of cricket and Test coach. I would have like England to have played Matt Parkinson in this test series and see how he copes with test cricket
