  1. We should go for younger manager with a modern day approach. time to move on from managers like Pulis, Warnock, McCarthy, Hughton, Bruce
  2. Well if that's opinion then gave us some potential names to this opinion? Rothwell and Nyambe are off for sure. So any new managerial appointment ain't stopping that from happening now. Plus given that we will lose half of their squad due to their loan status or Contract will expire then not much to look at tbh. Warnock ha today announced his retirement from the game so that's appears non starter.
  3. My opinions and thoughts on the current situation and that all 3 are out of contract. Rovers spent a few months interviewing and selecting a new head of recruitment before John Park's appointment. So this appointment should have been a long term contract and not a 1 year contract. Poor from the club again
  4. If Mowbray and co(Venus, Lowe, Benson and Park) are leaving when their contracts ends then I would right now be looking to appoint a director of football then appoint first team head coach and head of recruitment before the end of May/Start of June. I would be looking at former Celtic and Reading director of football Nicky Hammond or former WBA Director of football Luke Dowling. Then I would look to first team head coach who will be in charge of first team matters who is good tactical, good coach and has a background in developing young players. I wish we could have got Steve Cooper when he was available but I don't see him leaving them for us. So I would look at Damien Johnson, Ryan Mason from Spurs, Jason Wilcox from Man City or Rob Edwards at Forest Green Rovers to fill this position. At the same time I would be looking to appoint a new Head of Recruitment and Would look at bringing in Ian Pearce who is in charge of recruitment at WBA and has been linked with similar position at Bristol City recent months. I am a fan of the work Steve Cooper has done at Swansea and Forest during his short managerial career and just how he improves and developing players. I would like Rovers to follow a similar path now
  5. I don't think Babu gets involved in those decisions and from what I have read from posters who have posted about him he is Finance guy. Pasha will be involved in the next appointment just like he has been for several years.
  6. well I would say he at least shows some passion when decisions go the wrong way or a challenge that is over the top but nothing at all today. No Passion, fight and desire on the touchline from him. Given the crucial of today's game and the fact we could have been level points with Sheffield United that's a question for them and the club
  7. well my opinion is different and I stand by that. I have also commented who I thought had a poor performance today. You sound like that Rovers fan who sit near me using the term "shit" alot during the game
  8. You could get rid I guess but who are getting in for 5 games? We should have sack him last season and appoint a new manager in the summer. Now we need to appoint new manager or head coach plus a coaching team and I would appoint a director of football but I will discuss further in the proper correct thread Just look his touchline matter today. No passion, fight and just seem to be going through the motions. His comments are similar. I think he already knows his time is done here and won't be here next season whether its a decision from the owners or his or both. Who knows but I do think he knows he's a goner after the last game of the season
  9. Boro lost to Hull and QPR lost also Shows the great job Cooper is doing there and the work he done in turning them around. We need this sort of good appointment in the summer to replace Mowbray. also shows how poor Hughton was there
  10. The support is there if you price the games right and season ticket should have been on sale by now. Unacceptable they are yet
  11. Yes he has. Gone there as centre back scout I think he does have a club line up. Don't know who but given that Mowbray, Venus and Park are all out of contract this season and very likely to move on You mean Pasha. Yes he will be involved with Waggott in picking the next manager The 3 at the back hasn't worked for a number of games but Mowbray is far too stubborn to admit defeat in that formation and go back to 4-2-3-1 formation. The squad suits that formation in my opinion.
  12. I would say Mowbray knows his time is coming to end here and his contract won't be renew after the next month of games. He will leave the club. Wouldn't surprise me if he has been told this from the club and owners.
  13. Lacking match fitness and don't forget the team is struggling aswell. I think he was 7 out of 10 today and he should have scored that header in the first half
  14. Happy Everton won and hopefully the dingles lose tomorrow at Norwich.
  15. Disappointed by the results and performances by some players today. We started well and Gallagher took his goal well enough. He played good today in the main striker role and that's is where he should be playing all of the time. Rovers had a great chance by Brereton with a header from corner but he headed over the bar. Blackpool were a constant threat all game and went close in the first half with a shot from a corner and Hamilton should have scored a one on one with Kaminski. But was happy overall with going in 1 nil up at half time. Second half Rovers were slow and conceded a goal from a corner. Rovers never really got going second half and actually created very little. Dack did scored and its looked onside to me given he roll his man to score past the keeper. Will look forward to seeing a replay on that. But as the game went on I felt Rovers weren't never going to win the game and would concede another but didn't. Didn't like Mowbray starting formation and think it time to drop it and go 4-2-3-1 formation. But when Buckley and Dack came on we went to another one of Mowbray's Weird formation of 2 wide strikers and 2 number 10's. It never going to work and didn't. I would have took off Rothwell and Nyambe for Buckley and Dack. Keep Gallagher in the main striker role and Dack as 10. Buckley as centre midfielder. He seems to have no faith in Giles or Hedges in being able to win games or impact on games. 2 wasted January signings. Also felt that far too many players were poor performance wise like Nyambe, Wharton(first half), Rothwell, Pickering, Dolan. I also feel that Mowbray is going through the motions and he knows he is leaving Rovers next month whatever happens IMO. My last point its was a great to see the reception Mr Blackburn Tony Parkes got off the fans of both clubs and we should always remember him as a Rovers club legend.
  16. Weekend fixtures Sheffield United vs Bournemouth Boro vs Hull Forest vs Birmingham Preston vs QPR Fulham vs Coventry Sunday 3pm Huddersfield vs Luton Monday 7.45pm
  17. Season ticket should be on sale right now and its time the club got them on sale.
  18. So who runs the club, appoint the next manager, etc and etc? Well the transition from Coyle to Mowbray was quick and smooth and took 2 days didn't it? worrying time that Park's contract will run out this summer and I would imagine that Mark Venus, Ben Benson and David Lowe contracts will all be up at the same time as Mowbray. Its almost seem like Mowbray has a club line up and the his team will leave with him Good Its was odd that we never appoint Glyn Chamberlain as head of recruitment given his background and we never renew his contract last summer. We have currently about 5 or 6 Rovers scouts and a couple of recruitment data analysis according to what I can find online.
  19. Good news for club and the future of our academy. Producing our own players is vital for the future of club and we keep investing in the academy. I was surprised by these rumours cos the academy cat 1 stats has always been maintained. over the Venkys years Thanks for that summary. Also do you see Adam Wharton breaking into the first team next season or season after? What was you impress by his game in the game today?
  20. How many times do players under Ferguson, Pep and Klopp ever bottled it as much as Everton players are this season? Their performance this season has been pathetic tbh and There has been only 1 shining light for them and that has been Anthony Gordon.
  21. Not a worrying team at all but a balance team and players playing in their right positions. Its time to drop the back 3 formation cos it hasn't worked for a number of games now and we aren't keeping clean sheets or scoring goals. We have much better with back 4 in recent games like Derby and Coventry games Bowler plays on the right wing so will be up against Pickering not Brown.
