  1. Just look how well drilled and organised Forest look now under Steve Cooper compare to Hughton time there or Swansea spell. Also Critchley has impressed similar and willing to adapt his ways and tactics to suit the league despite his background at Liverpool. I think its about having the right footballing structure at the club. Youth development and bringing these through to first team will be key part of any footballing and transfer strategy going forward at the club. I think Bowyer did a fine job at Rovers in year 1 and build a good team that in year 2 should have got playoffs at least. I think Critchley has proved himself so far. Can't say most of them I would excite me or think would be appalling. I don't know about Liam Manning at MK Dons but I will be watching with interest their game on Sky on Saturday. Mark Bonner similar. Rooney would be appealing but doubt he will leave Derby. Farke would be similar but he has never worked without a Director of football. He had Webber at Norwich. Cowley would be decent enough for me and someone who I rated. I always forget about him in these next manager discussions. agreed I am also trying to be realistic with my suggestions and who I would be happy with. Like I said early in this reply that youth development and bringing through these into the first team will be key part of any transfer and footballing strategy at Rovers. I didn't watch or seen that game or interviews so I can't comment on them sadly.
  2. Yes it is the hope that kills you while I have been patient with the club about about not putting them on sale too early come Middle of March/April the info should be out there and should be able to buy them plus it gives people planning time to sort out finances, etc and etc. I live close to Stanley ground and training ground and Its impressive but Rovers should be doing far more in the community area to bring more fans to games, etc as I have posted several times on here. Another thing that is annoying with the club. I remember Rovers coming to my school of Peel Park in the Hyndburn area to do a 4 day footballing course with Children who signed to in the Easter holidays in 1995. Do Rovers still offer this and if could come the fans forum asked about why not? Why don't Rovers offer free shirts, kits, scarfs, gloves to youngsters now in schools?
  3. Brereton goal against Cardiff for me. Brereton would also be my player of the season followed closely by Wharton and Van Hecke.
  4. Yes I did. I have mentioned potential managerial appointments whether you wanted to go appointing a manager or go for different set up and appoint a director of football with a head coach. Did Neil Critchley or Steve Cooper played for their clubs they managed? Looked at how well they both have done. You keep mentioning evidence but that is dispel if you have badly Hughton failed at Forest and look at well they are doing Steve Cooper? You can keep slamming me for using different specific criteria but Rovers need to more thinking out of the box and try something different now after 5 years of Mowbray who has done a good job in the first 3 years but last season was huge disappointment given their financial backing he got and the squad he had plus the last 3 months of this season results and tactics wise have been quite frankly unacceptable for our great club. Mowbray is far too stubborn and unwilling to adapt his starting formation even tho in he last few games the back 3 is no longer solid and and we aren't winning games or scoring enough.
  5. Dingles have been linked with Lenihan today to signing him in the summer https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1124508324?-11198:839
  6. I think he will be ahead of bot of these. I think James Brown will be in the first team squad next season. Maybe even first choice. We also been linked with promising young player https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1124506100?-11198:839 Magloire has been linked with these Scottish Clubs https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1124522412?-11198:839
  7. I emailed the club on Monday and received a reply Monday afternoon that Said they should on sale after the Easter holiday. I am hoping that announce can be made at Stoke game and their prices can be revealed.
  8. Wharton scored from a corner against Derby. I think Gallagher was our best player in the last game until Mowbray tinkered again and moved him wide when he was playing very well up front in his properly role
  9. I guess some fans think its time for change of manager as maybe Dyche and his have been found out and gone stale for some fans of the club. I think he will walk away in the summer if you go down. It is massive rebuilding job for whoever the next manager is or For Dyche. I seen you have been linked with our Captain Lenihan today
  10. I am discussing what I would do if I was owner or in charge of running the club Fully aware of him good. past his best now. 12 years ago I would have said yes but not now is he going to leave Bestikas for Rovers job? Maybe Rob Edwards might be the hidden gem but would also be massive risk tho interesting tho I would be concern by the drop off they have experience just like we have I think Johnson might just be cracker with the right number 2 and director of football above him. bringing through more and more academy players is one of the must do's by any managerial appointment
  11. DAVID LLOYD: For goodness sake get Matt Parkinson in the England side! He can spin the ball and bamboozle batters... the late, great Shane Warne really rated him, so let's not worry about his batting and fielding DAVID LLOYD: For goodness sake get leg-spinner Matt Parkinson in the England side! | Daily Mail Online Its time England pick their best spinner in the country and that is Matt Parkinson for me. 7 What we can expect from Rob Key if he becomes England’s managing director of cricket What We Can Expect From Rob Key If He Becomes England's Managing Director Of Cricket (wisden.com)
  12. A good CEO and Footballing board would have a shortlist already with names on it to replace Mowbray with. The club should be doing plenty of research, speaking to footballing people about potential managers/head coach. sadly Rovers don't have a footballing board or head of football operations like other clubs do. That's how you know whether fit into what I used above in Dynamic and Good training ground coach. I have given two examples of managers who would fit into this in Steve Cooper and Neil Critchley. I will ask you and other posters 3 very sensible and simple questions? who would be on your football shortlist? what would be your criteria to be on your shortlist? who from your shortlist would you appoint Let's be realistic neither are coming here. We are talking two of the best managers out there as yesterday game shown. I'm talking realistic and sensible suggestions and possible appointments from Blackburn Rovers
  13. Bruce thought about Retiring after his experience at Newcastle but never did to my knowledge. Warnock and Pulis have both retired now. Time to move on from these same old names that always get mention on here.
  14. Justin Langer is open to the idea of becoming England next head coach but wants to coach all 3 formats but no decision on the head coach role until Strauss and ECB appoint a new England's Director of Football. The 3 front runners for that role is Marcus North, Ed Smith and Rob Key Justin Langer thought to be softening to the idea of coaching England | Daily Mail Online
  15. I wonder what Burnley's owners are thinking today and do they have plans in case they go down to the Championship
  16. We need to winning this game This is the way I would set up before I heard any team news Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Van Hecke Pickering Travis Edun Dolan Buckley Brereton Diaz Gallagher
  17. The dingles created very little in the game. Cornet and Weghorst looked very poor in the game. The players never got playing like the Everton game which I think is very strange. Surprised Dyche didn't have them at the races doesn't surprised that has I heard Dyche out or should be sack in the pub over Christmas time from Burnley ST holders
  18. In my opinion, Both Hughton and Bruce are not the right fir for Rovers. Also I don't see Rovers manager job attracting the other 3 due to wage demands and transfer/wage budget. Also as @1864roverite has said that Pulis has retired from Football management.
  19. Thanks for sharing the info and I appreciated you mentioning who was the source of your information I would have thought Bruce would have more of impact given his experience and knowledge. Just look at the Impact Steve Cooper instant after replacing Chris Hughton at Forest, in fact he won his first 5 games in charge. Steve Cooper and Neil Critchley had never managed a first team squad before being appoint Swansea and Blackpool first team manager. Just look at how well they had done managing those clubs and now Steve Cooper at Forest. So yes I would be in favour appointing someone like that but I have mention several different managers like Neil Critchley from Blackpool, Gareth Ainsworth from Wycombe and Paul Warne from Rotherham. Bruce might have won promotion in the past but In my opinion he is another one who is yesterday man like Mick McCarthy, Chris Hughton, etc. I would to see Rovers appoint a young, dynamitic manager/head coach who has good tactical approach, good training ground coach, will keep bringing through and developing our young academy players Where would Rothwell's father being told fans fault information? It was reported that WBA and Bruce have each escape break clause for after the season ends was reported yesterday.
  20. well we will see, But WBA and Bruce both have escape clause in the contract that can been activated this summer. https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1123944740?-11200:789 Bruce hasn't been anywhere near successful there. And no I would not want him here as Mowbray's successor. Another one is old school and football has move on from his tactics.
  21. great game of football by Man City and Liverpool. Very enjoyable to watch for the neutral person
  22. so far so good. City and Liverpool both playing positive attacking football
  23. I have no hatred towards any Rovers players thanks Duncan. So please refrain such rubbish. I just don't rate Nyambe as highly as you do. That's a different of opinion. Yes I advocated playing James Brown cos of Mowbray's comments on Thursday about Nyambe and Lenihan being available. I was surprise to see both start. So Dack was going to play on the right wing then? How was that obvious? Going to back 4 was the right decision and I would have started that formation for a number of games previously. The back 3 isn't working and defiantly didn't work in the first half either. Nyambe was poor yesterday as Wharton(first half) and Pickering yesterday. You could have sub any of them to be honest but I would have take Nyambe off for Dack and gone to 4-2-3-1 formation with Dolan on the right, Brereton left and Gallagher in the 9 role where he played his best and scores goals from there. The formation went to pot cos of Mowbray going to 2 wide strikers and 2 number 10's. A system that doesn't work and no wonder it looks so poor.
  24. well it was Burnley who was awful all game. Dyche made 3 subs but nothing worked for him. The players looked like they were done. It was. Yep get them down to the Championship. I don't understand anyone who is not a dingles fan wanted them to stay up.
  25. Dingles have dine very little in an attacking sense all game
