  1. It was posted on twitter earlier in the day that the game was being moved for concerns over the state of Bamber Bridge pitch
  2. Howard Webb has changed this now - Guidance to Video Match Officials has always emphasised the need for efficiency, but never at the expense of accuracy. This principle will be clearly reiterated - A new VAR Communication Protocol will be developed to enhance the clarity of communication between the referee and the VAR team in relation to on-field decisions - As an additional step to the process, the VAR will confirm the outcome of the VAR check process with the AVAR before confirming the final decision to the on-field officials https://x.com/FA_PGMOL/status/1709258060328227067?s=20 if the VAR room is watching the game properly I would have thought it was very obvious what they are looking at?
  3. well its does, so that's the rule VAR Principles Explained (premierleague.com) Video Assistant Referee (VAR) protocol | IFAB (theifab.com)
  4. because FIFA rules says that it has to be match official in the VAR room. I mentioned previously that I would like to see Howard Webb in the VAR room for the next couple of weeks overseeing everything. Never been a fan of VAR and I didn't think it should have come in Football in the first place. I stand by that view. does appeals the manager or the players given that the managers know within a second or two whether it would be worth an appeal due to have Video game analyst in the stand?
  5. I would be in favour of Howard Webb being in the VAR room and watching is actually happening there. Even being the main VAR official for weekend of games
  6. well done to Plymouth for refunding their supporters the coach expenses.
  7. Wahlstedt Brittain Hill Hyam Pickering Travis Tronstad JRC Moran Sigurdsson Szmodics Subs:- Hilton, Carter, Wharton, Wharton, Garrett, Dolan, Markanday, Telalovic, Glisenan, I would play 4-2-3-1 and have 2 holding midfielders protecting the back 4. That's the change formation I would do. I deffo wouldn't play 3 at the back. I still want us to creating plenty of chances and play the attacking game we have in recent games.
  8. I will stand by what I said in the original post and I won't be overreacting to the last 3 league games.
  9. The lack of sponsors being advertised around the Club is very poor. Just 3 sponsors. Venkys, totally wicked and spreadex betting. No commercial nous at the club
  10. I watched the Ryder Cup thanks. What's to learn given its a very different type of sport to Football?
  11. Maybe Mercer has forget about these incidents No chance. What questions do you want him to ask?
  12. people know the risk when they start doing it whether it smoking, drinking or drugs?
  13. JDT's comments https://x.com/BBCLancsSport/status/1708504358751510625?s=20
  14. We did today play abit more conservatively didn't we as I explained in my first post match comments
  15. yes I do. Best league finish since relegation I think this style of play was always the way he wanted to play and entertain the fans. He took that pragmatic and conservative approach cos of the squad getting used to his style of play and we learn and develop by end of the season to what he wanted. Now we improve on it again I don't think he has been told to play this way cos I can't JDT taking those sort of instructions on.
  16. my thoughts on the game, I thought we played some good attractive football going forward until the 3rd goal. Moran was excellent in the 10 role. JDT was clever how when Leicester had the ball, Szmodics and Moran would mark their 2 defensive midfielders in Winks and Pereira with Travis and Wharton marking Ndini and Dewsbury-Hall with Markanday and Sigurdsson marking Justin and Faes leaving their central centre back Vestergaard with the ball alot who did nothing with it majority of the time. We conceded a very poor goal 5 mins in with Faes scoring. Travis lost his man very easily. Second goal came from our own throw in. Third goal was a penalty. no complaints. Fourth goal, we were chasing the game. Nothing Pears or Wahlstedt could do with either goal. Never thought we were ever cut open by Leicester who created very little IMO. Had Travis scored when 1-2 we might have got a draw or even a win. This squad is playing well going forward and I can understand why we playing this style cos it suits our squad and we need to create chances to win. I think our squad is work in progress and we have young talent squad but I deffo don't feel relegation and I still think JDT is the right head coach for us right now and the beyond. I am not in panic mood and worry mood. Lets go and win at Coventry and QPR which will settle people down alot.
  17. No Thesauras was used. it used in daily life all the time
  18. I wonder if Bournemouth now regret sacking Gary O'Neil now? Tbh, I thought it was a cracking game and very enjoyable for the neutral fan.
  19. haha No need for Thesaurus 47er.
  20. Its people choice whether they smoke or vape. Its their choice 47er. I don't myself and never have, but some of family, friends and work colleagues do
  21. You can't guarantee anything in life to be honest Mike. Waggott and his commercial team should have found us a more lucrative spoksor. This is no dig or disrespect to totally wicked by the way
  22. I don't think Leicester are as good as others think they are. I still feel Southampton are the best team in this league. He is working for Sky Sports now so looks like he has moved on career wise I don't think Pears is anywhere near as poor as many on here. He's 25 years old, still making mistakes just like all keepers do even the best ones do. Friedel made plenty of mistakes at the age but he turned out to one of the best keepers I've ever seen live. Correct there about the sell on clause being 40%. Armstrong left us 2 years ago. He moved on, we have more on
  23. I think Rovers will win tomorrow and I wouldn't be surprise if Pears had a good game tomorrow. What club would sack their head coach for picking the players he wants? which club has this happening at? If you think JDT has given up and waiting to go then I would suggest you look again given that his family has moved to the area in the last few months and his boys have joined Rovers academy I think you are deffo overanalysing and he is using Steve Waggott's words against him. I think JDT wants playoffs this season and progress us further than he did last season. He downplayed us all last season of reaching the playoffs. He is very media savvy and knows how to used it to his advantage
