  1. You are far too judgemental and so quick to judge. Below average? you are massive downplaying his 18 months at Chelsea where for most of that They were in Transfer embargo. They finish in the top 4 so that was good achievement while bringing through players like Mount and James into becoming key Chelsea players Ali has only been for 2 months and was short of fitness before he join, so why be judgemental on it. Tell to judge is not season. You keep saying that he wouldn't have got the job had he not enjoyed the playing career that he did but you can't come up with any alternative name who they should have appointed or seem to forget that The Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright wanted him as well as the fans wanted him
  2. The focus is on this season and tbh next season squad problems and evaluate can wait until the summer for. Its all about getting a playoff place that it. We are still in the playoff picture even after this bad run. So I still wouldn't have sack him and tbh I think we would have been crazy to do so. So I don't see it any opportunity missed at all on your point the new manager is starting from a standing start, well that's isn't correct cos the recruitment team have still be doing their work in the background and will have a different list for each position as we heard Mowbray confirm last week. Plus a new manager will be already without Nyambe and Rothwell cos they want to leave and move away from the area. Reason why they haven't sign a new contract
  3. Yes Dack did and I hope the next 3 home games sell well cos the club and players need you
  4. Pereria was the man they were going to appoint before the backlash from Bill Kenwright and The fans. Average in previous job. really? Did a very good job at Chelsea under the transfer embargo and brought through players like Reece James, Mason Mount into being key players for the club. You are looking at the Lampard amd Everton situation with a very biased view cos you dislike Lampard for some reason. Give him time blimey. Time to judge Ali is next season. He is lacking proper fitness and isn't the same player from a couple of seasons ago. Need a proper pre season and hopefully we see a player back to best and playing for England
  5. Rovers are going to need 8 to 10 new signings under hopefully a new manager. A new manager will be able to put his own stamp straight away on the playing squad and mould it into his own style, formation and tactics. I would say that a new manager would be exciting challenge for him I think Lenihan will sign a new contract here. Signing wise we need 1 right back 1 centre back. Maybe 2 3 centre midfielder 2 strikers 1 winger. Maybe 2 wingers depends on the formation we will play
  6. I do stand by that Comment and I think Everton will need a massive clear out this summer and let Lampard build his own squad. Plus I think he will proved his worth over the coming seasons. I'm not surprised by the form of Everton and this is problem similar to Manchester United where the squad has far too many egos and need a clear out. Could they have got better appointment cos if you do then I look forward to hearing a few names from you? Would Vitor Pereira done better? Not convinced at all he would have done. Ali signing about?
  7. Surely Strauss and Harrison are close to appointing a new director of English cricket and I'm hoping for an appointment in the next 2 weeks so we can sort out the roles of national selector, test head coach and odi/20twenty head coach. Plus Root's captaincy future
  8. I am fully aware of all the stats involving the current run of results and goals scored and conceded since the 1st of January. I wouldn't have made any managerial change within the last couple of months despite the results. I don't believe a change of manager would have much difference. Just look how long its took Bruce at West Brom or Hughes at Bradford who have had very limited impact. I think a managerial change is needed for next season and given Mowbray's comments pre match about no contract offer yet from the club or the owners I think he is off whatever happens this season unless we are promoted. I have never said Mowbray should be protected from any criticism have I? I was very critical of his recent team selections and formations being used and I believe that he is far too stubborn to admit that the back 3 from the start of the game isn't working and we aren't solid any more with that formation. But I do think that the players have to shoulder some of the criticism and the results we have had in games since January. You want to give them a free pass and pin everything on Mowbray. So when we win is all down to Mowbray and none of the players deserve any praise for the win. Thanks for that being your stance for future reference
  9. Isn't Michael O'Neill staying at Stoke and the owners seem to be sticking with him and allowing him the summer to turn it around
  10. No Results have been poor and don't think anyone has said otherwise but we are still in the playoff picture and the Blackpool game is a must win. A playoff place is still there if we can win 4 or 5 games in the last 6 games Sorry but this is just pain wrong. The players have to take some responsibly for their role in our current run but your opinion allow them off again for their role in this current run You got to step back and look at the overall situation and why we have gone on this bad run. Mowbray is being too stubborn with his tactics at the start of the game and hopefully against Blackpool we will be back to 4 at the back and playing 4-2-3-1 formation like we should have been doing in recent games I have watched the full game this morning and yes the first performance and the starting 11 was unacceptable. I slammed the starting line up and the formation several times in the match thread. Mowbray got his wrong yesterday again. But we made 2 changes and look a very different team and should have won.
  11. Yes I have been expecting Lenihan to sign a new contract here but Rothwell and Nyambe will leave. Isn't Andrew Proctor the Rovers physio who told you this? No modern keepers don't come for the ball and that include some of the best keepers out there.
  12. I think Burnley owners are in panic mode now. Relegation looks very likely. Put any promotion challenge need investment in their squad which looks old and loads of players will leave
  13. I think he should have come for the ball but no chance with the header
  14. I wouldn't assume that Dyche will stay or that they will spend big given how the current owners bought the club and also given that they will be significate weaker due to a number of players leaving due to being out of contract plus players like Pope, McNeil will go. The parachute payments will be needed to cover the losses suffering from relegation.
  15. I would say he does care and you just need to see his interview with the Sky Football highlights. does Mowbray not get any praise for picking the players, changing formation and tactics for that great run? Also do the players get a free pass for missing great chances to score and defending poorly or is it all Mowbray's fault?
  16. Who are they going to get then? and just an short term manager ever work tbh?

  18. Brentford were outstanding yesterday. Watched the full game on Sky last night. Looks more and more likely Burnley, Watford and Norwich are going down this season to the championship
  19. Exactly, Nyambe should have defending the cross much better. He got out muscled by their striker How many managers really come out and take the blame really? He is 4 or 5 yards out, Keeper not going to save that unless its hit his hand or body. The problem was Nyambe's poor defending and if he is badly injured he can't defend then go off the pitch Who says Mowbray will be here next season? Plus who says we will play 5 at the back next season? Also we have James Brown who seems to be doing well in the under 23 and hopefully we see him a first team Rovers shirt soon I think Pickering has been a good signing for us overall. He hasn't been at his best since coming back from injury but I am overall pleased with this signing
