  1. I have explained what my thinking would be if we need to replace JDT and what I would want the new head coach to do which is carry on the playing style and formation that JDT has played and developed this season. Yes we are long away from that at the minute cos we have numourous managers/head coaches being linked with Spurs like Rodgers, Glasner, Slot and Nagelsmann. Plus they have been turned down by Feyenoord Sporting Director for the Spurs Sporting Director. Not someone I would appoint ever here
  2. ok I wouldn't want Jones anywhere near Rovers head job. simple as fully understand how Football works Mercer but I like my teams to play possession based football and high press if you have the players to do this. I think we do, now we need to sign a quality striker and couple of wide players this season plus keep JDT and I think we will have a good season this coming season I wouldn't say either Sunderland or Boro got blown away. Sunderland bossed the first leg but second leg couldn't match Luton at all. Guess the lack of defenders was a problem also. I thought Boro and Coventry games were boring and nothing in it. Mercer, we all have different thoughts on Football and we are going in right direction under JDT and if we had sign Undav we would have made top 6 for sure and that's my opinion
  3. Like I said once to you already that's might your method/way but my thinking is you appoint the head coach who suit your players and your style of play. In his interview last week he says he has learned and willing to adapt to different circumstances
  4. Leeds started well and got the first goal but as soon as Bamford got injured and they conceded, they just couldn't matched West Ham. So poor at the back. So its goes the last day. Everton vs Bournemouth Leeds vs Spurs Leicester vs West Ham. I still hope Everton go down myself
  5. The article is on BRFCS front page Well that's might your way of thinking but we have style of passing that's suits the players and I would bring in a head coach that would continue that way of playing. Was that them trying to find out more on JDT and his success at Malmo. JDT was GB first choice and very quickly appointed within a week of his own appointment.
  6. why you not a fan? GB seems to have shortlist for key footballing position and that the sort of planning we haven't had in the past here They didn't go out in Manchester for a meal or drinks but he was there for a medical and GB make sure he got some food probably from canteen at Man City training ground
  7. We aren't skint tho as we get compensation for JDT going to another club to appoint a new manager. Yes he has agreed to move to Southampton. The biggest question can Wilcox and Ankersen bring in the players he needs for the style of play he wants to play. Jones was the wrong appointment at the wrong time agreed I wouldn't want Jones as Rovers head coach at all thanks. No suited to our playing squad or youth development. JDT is still here and I confidence he will get us to PL and we will make some good signings this summer.
  8. I don't want to lose JDT at all. I think he done a good job and I think he is the man who will take us to the PL and keep us there plus improve the club. I think having GB in the Director of football is has shortlist for people who might leave whether its the head coach or head of medical/sport science department. 12 months ago we didn't this type of thinking. We spent weeks looking for a head coach then GB came in as Director of Football and appointed JDT within a week of his appointment if my memory is correct. I have seen Spurs linked with Nagelsmann and Rodgers in the last of couple of hours plus Feyenoord trying to agree a new contract with Slot. Tottenham 'reopen talks with Nagelsmann for manager's job but German coach demands assurance over key appointment' | The Sun Tottenham: Spurs Eye "Absolutely Phenomenal" Manager Move (msn.com) Tottenham manager news: Spurs double down on Julian Nagelsmann stance as club step up hunt | Evening Standard Says in this article that Feyenoord are trying to agree a new contract with Slot
  9. All depends how quickly Feyenoord move for JDT if Slot does take the Spurs job
  10. Does he play the way JDT does? No thanks. We need a replacement if he goes that plays similar cos that our footballing style and structure within the club. I would probably be looking overseas for his replacement
  11. If Russell Martin is GB first target then go and approach Swansea for him. Don't give up just before he gone to Southampton
  12. Whoever we do get to replace JDT needs to carry on the same style of play, tactics and the good work he has done. Who that is I don't know yet.
  13. It's vital we replaced quickly if he does go. I wouldn't want to lose JDT at all but he won't turn them down if we get approach for him. Who this ideal replacement going elsewhere?
  14. With Spurs being linked with Feyenoord Manager now and even having talks with them
  15. would Brentford manager Thomas Frank not be possible option for the Spurs job?
  16. thanks for the stats. I like stats but also like using my eyes. We aren't going to agree on Pears vs Kaminski debate so lets just agree tom disagree on it and leave it there
  17. I can understand what you are saying but I think Southampton wants to adapt this style throughout their teams from first team to under 16's level and its a long term approach I like how he wants to play but I think his attitude stinks when teams play different against his teams or things go against his teams he throws his toys out of his pram.
  18. Leeds need to win tomorrow against West Ham. I hope they do it tbh
  19. I can understand your opinion and I agree on Russell Martin. They have appointed Jason Wilcox as Director of football from Man City. It will need a massive squad rebuilt but they spent alot of money on players in January. I think Armstrong will part of their side next season
  20. If a keeper shouts for the ball then you leave it for him to deal it. I was keeper in my younger days of playing and I would expect my defenders to leave the ball for my deal with if Pickering takes all the blame, Pears shouts for the ball, so Pickering should leave it. My opinion is based on being a keeper in my younger days not a great standard but it was my position in football. I am keen on data aswell as scouting live at games just as much as data cos he can see more whether the communicate or what happen when something bad happens like mistake leading to a goal or bad miss from a striker. I haven't seen that stat. where is it? was it posted on here?
  21. Southampton and Leicester both linked with Russell Martin. Given that the former Brentford director of football Rasmus Ankersen is there in management and director of football role there, He wants to make them into possesion based team. I think they will need a major squad revamp to do this and a number of signings over the last 12 months don't fit that style
  22. You are wrong there cos Sky Sports shown that Pears shouted at Pickering and still Pickering went for the ball. So Pears isn't at fault for that. Any keeper need to have a clear communication with his defenders and team mates
  23. 12.5% percentage Rich Sharpe has tweet earlier this week
  24. Well it won't be Potter or Rodgers as you said it would be. Another one of your tips that didn't happened. I'm running out of pages in my book for these 🤣
