  1. These appointments will be made in due course so lets see who we appoint. Alot of clubs have this model and its works for them. Examples are Norwich, Brentford, Forest and Huddersfield just to name a few.
  2. Did I say you said he should a new contract? No I didn't. I was saying that Rovers were said right not to offer any new contract. that's fine Glen
  3. Yes I was Mowbray staying if we got a top 6 place this season but we didn't. That what I said. Mowbray has backed money for transfers and loans. He has brought in some good loan players like Harrison Reed, Harvey Elliott, Tosin but he hasn't achieve promotion. Which should be aim for our club. Barnsley got top 6 last season and Huddersfield and Luton have spent less on fees and still managed playoff places this seasson. We need to move on and appoint a head coach who can achieve promotion within a couple of seasons. That should be aim now
  4. Rovers are after appointing a sporting director and head coach within the next couple of weeks. Have you miss that? Who are the 2 or 3 others you would prefer? Would Farke want to work with Webber after he sacked him at Norwich? I don't the backroom staff being a problem cos the new guy will be allow to bring 2 or 3 staff with him. If we can't those 2 then there is a couple of others I would like to see us approach to come in as Head coach
  5. Thanks for putting in a appearance today after the relegation so I applaud you for that. Can I ask where the club go now for next season and do you see this has huge rebuilding job there for next manager/head coach and owners? Who would you appoint as your next managerial appointment?
  6. I think Mowbray has had more than enough backing over the last 4 years/seasons to achieve promotion/playoff place and he has failed to deliver it. He can't blame anyone but himself. He was rightly let go now
  7. no attempts to try to trip anyone up but asking honest and proper questions why you would appoint someone who tactics doesn't suit our squad or our model. I would appoint an experience foreign head coach who knows the how the head coach sporting director model works
  8. Carvalhal got to 2 top 6 places whilst he was there. Just look at the job he has done at Braga. upgrade on Mowbray for sure. If he takes us to PL does it matter how long he sticks around for Why are Farke chances coming here dwindling?
  9. Don't care who they appoint as long as Rovers made an ambitious head coach and sporting director appointments. I think Burnley will look towards Mike Duff or Joey Barton
  10. Carvalhal worked at Sheffield Wednesday with a transfer committee there. He got 2 top 6 finishes there. Farke has 2 promotions from this league and that what we need to aiming for. I just not sure Ainsworth can take us to that sadly. Also not sure Ainsworth's style and tactics would be suit our squad Well that would be my first question to him if I was interviewing for the Rovers head coach job. But I just think he is the right man for the job right now. We need a manager who can get us promote within 2 season of taking charge. Just more excuses from Mowbray IMO. To be honest, I'm pleased he's gone now cos his excuses, moaning and sulking will be gone.
  11. Well done Leeds and Newcastle on relegating Burnley back to the championship. Welcome back to the Championship. They need massive decisions over the finances of the club and next managerial appointment plus the playing squad decisions. Yes Burnley have to pay back a loan of 65 million pounds back now. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10783901/Burnley-slapped-65MILLION-fine-relegated-2026.html
  12. Newcastle have picked their strongest team.
  13. Kieran Tripper or Chris Wood to score to relegate Burnley today
  14. Man City to win the league, Spurs to finish and Burnley to go down
  15. Well that is Alan Myers opinion. We might agree terms with a foreign head coach but have to wait for them to gain an UK work permit. Does his style of management suit the head coach role we want here and does his playing style/tactics going to fit our current players like Buckley, Dack, Dolan, Markanday, Dolan, Gallagher?
  16. well you can put me on ignore Duncan if you don't want to read my posts instead of you making sly digs at me wanting different footballing structure at their club and something that works at alot of clubs who have been promoted in recent seasons.
  17. You made alot of good points there JH. Yes I agree we need to appoint the right people for these roles and need to correct experience. I am in favour of appointing an experience head coach like Farke or Carvalhal. Then someone like Stuart Webber from Norwich who might be leaving Norwich shortly or Steve Hitchen, the former Spurs Director of Technical Performance and chief scout there in the sporting director role. I am hoping we can get both appointment done before the end of May/start of June. Lets wait and see Yes I know what our recruitment and scouting department contain but I know they are still scouting and analysing potential signings. We need a Sporting Director and Head coach in place to make decisions on potential signings tho we only need around 6 to 8 signings this summer.
  18. for me, they can make a decision in India about the appointment or even rectify Pasha and Waggott decision who to appoint?
  19. How do you know he will have no influence? and I thought you were in favour of this structure when we discuss previously? How do you know we aren't getting the head coach search right? another one of your low blow dig at me. Its almost a weekly thing. And just for the record I wouldn't be happy with either of them. Now both applying their trade in Scottish football. I just think a Sporting Director head coach structure suits the club and its works at many clubs like Norwich, Brentford, Forest, Huddersfield just to name a few people. Have QPR replace Warburton yet? Have Burnley replace Dyche with a permanent replacement? Its took Newcastle nearly 3 weeks to replace Bruce with Eddie Howe and they interview several candidates before picking him despite billions and billions of pounds ownership
  20. The recruitment department will have identify players already and will continue to work on scouting players. It's important that Sporting Director and head coach get on and work together. No Sporting Director will force signings on the head coach but sign players that fit into head coach tactics and the type of players he wants for the position we need a signing for. Head Coach will have a say in who we target but the sporting director tends to decide the player. maybe we are waiting for a certain candidate to leave a club? This will be discuss in interviews but most people will want to bring in 2 or 3 people with them but keep 1 or 2 people who are familiar with the club and know the players like Souness did when he came in with Tony Parkes. I think we the new head coach will be allow to bring in his own number and goalkeeper coach but Johnson will stay on.
  21. How would India go and appoint a head coach like Farke and who would do the talking? What happens if Farke and Carvalhal have applied for the head coach job to Waggott?
  22. I know and I was dead against the club selling the land off to developers. Its didn't happen. If Rovers wanted to build a brand new bigger training ground complex like the one Leicester City owner has built with massive investment whilst keeping our investment in our cat 1 academy I would be in favour of it as long as its done properly. I want to see Rovers back in the premier league and that's why I in favour of appointment of Farke or Carvalhal who can take us to the PL again cos Mowbray couldn't do it despite 4 years of trying.
