  1. Markanday isn't a striker. He role is playing from the right, cutting in onto his left foot. He does have skills and some pace.
  2. Yes, we need a coach who develop our young players and keeps bringing through academy players since this is key part of footballing strategy would you sell BBD in January when we are in good position to make the playoffs this season? stats and data is playing a very important part of Football recruitment but Rovers will still scout the player live in the stadium before making the signing. I think we need a couple of signings in this window. A right back who would be loan for one someone like Cody Drameh and maybe an replacement for BBD if he leaves or if Rovers send Hirst back someone like Callum Lang from Wigan or Robin Hack from Arminia Bielefeld or Plymouth Ryan Hardie.
  3. thanks for answering the questions. Fair points. JDT does currently focus on making us organising a side. Maybe he might go to an attacking style in the coming weeks and depending on signings in January and players back fit 100% now. I think Szmodics has been decent enough and he has scored some goals and assists a couple.
  4. Rovers would have scouted him at Portsmouth where he had a fairly good scoring record and done well. I don't know who the second choice was.
  5. wrong again but this tripe just get posted by people. I posted criticism of the club when I feel fit and it needed. I don't get mad, angry or stewed for days after any losses or performances. Sadly, in life there is bigger and more important issues to focus on for me. Markanday is wide attack whilst Hirst is number 9 striker. They played very different position. Dolan is injured for the next 2 games
  6. Well we have to disagree on it. I stand by the front 4 were poor.
  7. Ok then. Well at least you and Rich Sharpe might agree on someone. Not interested in betting with yourself Mercer.
  8. I will be there as per usual. being third gives us a good chance of making the playoffs this season and keeping BBD for the rest of the season which is our best chance of promotion with him in the team. Of course I seen every game recent and all season whether its at Ewood Park which I never missed a game or watching away games live on Sky Sports or Rovers TV the day after.
  9. Dack wasn't haven't any sort of impact on the game just like the other front 4 players. Can you tell me what he got going with? Like I said Before I don't agree sacking Big Sam was a mistake and lets not forget this is the same guy who wanted to quit Rovers in that summer before we were sold. So he didn't want to be here and he always thought he was bigger than the club. The real problem was who we replaced him with. Had we gone for Bilic or Curbishley I am sure we would have been fine. but 12 years ago, maybe time to let go now and move on from Big Sam love in Wow. We are 3rd in the league and you think his appointment was a mistake. I wouldn't be sacking JDT this season or next. I think he is doing a good job here and long may it continue. Our league position is ahead of where I thought we would league position wise given that JDT is new head coach at Championship level, new football management structure and turnover in playing staff and backroom staff in the summer. Firstly, yes it was completely below the belt. That is where this is completely and utter wrong cos I have made very valid and reasonable criticism of JDT in match threads if I disagree with team selection or subs made or tactics like I did post match in the Sunderland match thread.
  10. Seem people haven't learn from Norwich game where people were expecting to lose and take a hammering but its no surprised with some people on here. We are 3rd in the league and people's negativity is baffling. Was Carrick even in for Rovers job? I haven't read or seen anything that says Carrick was in for the job. Rovers are 3rd in the league and you think we are mess. I give up with people attitude like this.
  11. Simple Yes overall. Some questions for you to answer 1) Do you enjoy watching JDT's style of football and his team selection? if you don't why or if so why? 2) Would you not subscribe that league position is the most important than anything? Typical head coach talk trying to take the pressure of the players
  12. None of the front 4 did anything. All has bad as each other. Didn't Travis replace Dack tho?
  13. I do enjoyed watching Rovers whether we win, lose or draw as its my release. I don't get too high when we win or too low when we lose whoever we play. I think how I would describe the style is a difficult one to answer at the minute cos I think we haven't see the style spoken about how we would play when JDT joined the club. We seem some signs of it in games but not fully introduce or we haven't played it game after game. We seen different styles in different games whether its QPR at home or Swansea away or Watford home or Norwich away. When we play badly we are bad tho. That is somewhat a concern for me.
  14. true. Last game time was 2 months ago I don't know the players personally. Maybe we could ask my of Norwegian Rovers fan for a report on either
  15. i don't think Dack was that good and none of the front 4 was particularly good. Gallagher is striker where Dack isn't. I would like us to control the midfield battle and Garrett will make tackles and close down which is what I want him to do. I rate Morton. I also don't get this notion that we can't rest him either of loan terms Thanks Mercer for that. cheer me right up now. Another opposition manager you big up again. Rovers will win now, I like Morton in our midfield and with Buckley is a pair how they played against Norwich cos that how they should play every game, pressing, closing down, very clever passing. That is how our midfield need to play
  16. We have to discuss on Big Sam and him being sacked, But I am not going over again. No way would I sack JDT this season or next. This sacking talk of JDT is totally bonkers. The last point is below the belt and is totally BS.
  17. Just read the accounts and you seem what was needed to stop us going to transfer embargo last season. The club also commented about how close we were to failing FFP rules It was article with Football finance expert Kieran Maguire who comment on Rovers finances. That was the point of the article.m JDT and his staff will have access to fitness stats and everything that we don't. Dack wasn't in the game and do very little tbh
  18. Rovers would be stupid to shock JDT Also saying Scott Parker has been approach Would they be doing any better than having us 3rd in the league?
  19. thanks for the reply firstly rigger, few questions tho 1, so what system would you play? 5-3-2 or 4-3-3? 2, Gallagher is playing through the middle and BBD is left side attacking forward player or would you play up front? 3, what would your starting 11 be then?
  20. What Blackburn Rovers' latest accounts mean for Ben Brereton Diaz, future spending and FFP (msn.com) ask the people posting that source of info plenty of options out there at the time. Plus let not forget he wanted out of Rovers that previous summer for a job managing a Middle East club which plenty of Rovers fans forget quickly. He never wanted to be here.
  21. Both players would meet the required number of points to secure a UK work permit
  22. My team Kaminski JRC Hyam Ayala Pickering Buckley Garrett Morton Hedges Gallagher BBD
  23. Yes you are correct to say we have good wins then some dreadful performances but most teams in the league are like this. 2 examples PNE(who last 2 performances have been dreadful from what I am told) and Watford who were poor from reports yesterday. The championship is unpredictable for most teams and why it so enjoyable to watch Despite us being 3rd you think he is isn't get the best out of these players so what changes to the starting 11 and formation would you like to see to get the best out of the players for rest of the season?
  24. Its 3 transfer windows is JDT's point. Sorry Mercer, But the players have to take some of the responsibility for how we played in games. What do you mean by cut our losses and move on? You keep not understanding the FFP rules season after season. We only escape a FFP transfer embargo cos we sold the training ground and sold Armstrong. Look at what Football finance expert Kieran Maguire says about Rovers finances. Posters have said Mowbray had more money to spend than he did spent and that Mowbray never spend his entire budget each window.
