  1. exactly How are the EFL and FA going to afford it?
  2. Todd Cantwell would be quality signing IMO. He would be good fit for the left side of 3 man attack behind the main striker. I think Gregg Broughton's relationship with Todd Cantwell would be important here and if we want him then I would imagine that wages wouldn't be problem. Gregg Broughton has said we got the same wage budget as less season with healthy transfer budget. I don't know what a healthy transfer budget means but I trust Gregg Broughton to deliver the right signing. On the wage budget has probably down around 2 to 3 million this season cos Joe Rothwell, Darragh Lenihan,, Bradley Johnson and Jacob Davenport are off the wage bill permanently and loans wage cost. Gregg Broughton also said last week that he is meeting Ben Brereton and his agent this coming week. So it will be interesting what the outcome of that meeting is.
  3. JDT explained his coaching staffand why he is happy for Lowe, Benson and Johnson to stay on the staff Jon Dahl Tomasson explains Blackburn Rovers' coaching staff decision | Lancashire Telegraph
  4. Rovers want Todd Cantwell from Norwich on loan https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/18931791/blackburn-transfer-norwich-todd-cantwell-bournemouth/
  5. Rovers have got 2 very key appointments right IMO and I think JDT bringing in Ben Rosen as performance director is an excellent move given his background and experience in fitness and conditioning I agree that they have a few quality players in the season(Collins, Roberts, Taylor, Brownhill and Barnes) and I assume Cornet, McNeil, Pope will leave, but as I have discuss with longsiders1882 they need around 10 signings to be challenging for promotion. My point on staff around Kompany and what kind of control does he have there signing wise is a very valid point and is relate to you point around their squad
  6. Yes they might have a transfer window but do Burnley have the right personal in place to support Kompany? Pope and Cornet will go for sure but then what their budget going to be for signings and how much time has Kompany be focusing on recruitment.
  7. I think Kompany has a quite big rebuilding job there where I think he might have his work cut out there. I do wonder what staff he will have around him and what the club structure is around him. I'm still surprised you haven't announce his staff yet? Has Mike Jackson gone back to previous role now? they might have plenty of experience but most of them you named there are around 32/33 age bracket. Surely you don't want 2 32 years old strikers up front if Kompany plays 2 up front? In Vydra's case he is injured and no new contract agreed there yet between them
  8. Mowbray didn't used him properly and tbh it was pointless signing cos he never played him properly. I would question him why he signed him in the first place and why doesn't target someone else he had more confidence in and would used properly
  9. Kompany wanted Simon Davies his former assistant but he has gone to Spurs academy. Are you concern by the lack of appointments to the coaching staff by Kompany and the club? Cornet wants out. McNeil is wanted by Newcastle and Spurs. Do you honestly think That front 2 is mobile enough for the championship? I think you need younger players and suited to this league.
  10. So does Appleton have promotion on his CV with Oxford United
  11. These aren't friendlies but part of the ICC ODI championship
  12. well that's your opinion whilst mine is different to yours. Appleton was trying to sort the mess that was left after Kean and Berg plus the boardroom mess. Instead Bowyer had to sort it all out Its his opinion and he has made very valid points/opinion on Duff
  13. @longsiders1882 Has Kompany appoint any of his own coaching staff yet? Plus when do you return for pre season?
  14. Mark Hughes has signed him for Bradford City CITY COMPLETE CHAPMAN CAPTURE | News | Bradford City (bradfordcityafc.com)
  15. Very impressive from JDT in that video of him at Ewood Park yesterday.
  16. My friend who is Blackpool supporter and season ticket holder is ok with this appointment. Says its better than appointing Michael Duff for example. My own view is Michael Appleton is a decent appointment there. I think they will finish around 15/16th place not sure why you bringing me into this Isn't David Sullivan loaning Bassini the money to buy the club?
  17. Thanks for your commitment and effort Darragh over the years. I wonder if Wilder will make him captain there.
  18. Can you say what are the strengths and weaknesses are of Harry Darling?
  19. I would be very happy with a voucher as a refund. Great to hear and good to see more fans being ST holders.
  20. JDT Instagram post to the welcome he has received from Rovers and our supporters
