  1. the work permit issues would make it not workable unless we signed him and loan him to club in Belgium where he could get the game time and points required. unless it a permanent deal I wouldn't want him back. Another loan is no good for us. Not sure he what we need. Sharpe mentions in his SVDB article that we are looking for a striker on loan with a view to permanent deal. I don't know much about George Hirst so can't comment but I wouldn't mind us looking at championship striker or a striker from Belgium or Germany. Someone who can play that Pressing number 9 role with goals is Hirst that player
  2. I think some managers tactics are boring to watch. In 3 home games I haven't bored and see the team playing to tactical plan whilst yesterday game first half was poor we were miles better second half yesterday and played with more tempo and intensity, closing down, movement, playing in between the lines. If you can't see that second half then I just leave it there. Just look at Hedges performance second half who was very good and shown why he need to start at Blackpool. Yes he is good coach and very good with the players who enjoyed his training coaching sessions. Plus the players look more fit yesterday than previous seasons. no blocked shot on those stats considering the number of blocked shots we had yesterday Rovers will doing a medical today. I wouldn't be surprised if he was at yesterday game watching from a box or something. Keeping a low profile until its a done deal.
  3. Some will and some won't.
  4. that's your opinion whilst I think its very relevant to the question
  5. If you didn't see signs of how JDT wants to play second half of today game then fair enough but I stand by it. We had to play a different game plan at Swansea and we did and won. Job done, 3 points and Rovers fans happy
  6. Like I said several times this is work in progress, JDT has said this is project here and maybe some fans haven't understand this I thought we played very well second half today, The QPR game you could see what he wants the front 4 to do and how he was to play. Swansea game we different way to hit them on the counter which meant we won the game 3 nil. Far too many Rovers fans are still obsess with Allardyce and his tactics like he is messiah here. one Rovers fan today where still obsessing about Mowbray before the game like he was messiah here
  7. We have agree to disagree but plenty of head coaches work with the existing staff and just bring in a number 2 with them we scored 3 at Swansea didn't we? Also did we not play with movement and fluidity plus did we not press and close down from the front second half?
  8. I think its very poor management and to do so soon after the game is pathetic and very poor management for me. Some head coaches are very happy to work with the majority of the coaching staff as long as they can bring in a couple of appointments as JDT has already said
  9. wrong. We are bring 6 in maybe 7 and bringing in a number of young players through. Cos that Neil has told them blimey, some people like you aren't willing to allow both some time and patience. JDT will come good and move this club into the right direction and plenty of fans can see this but you still obsess with Allardyce and boring tactics.
  10. Good luck to Sunderland with Mowbray there, It won't be good watching but surprised he going there being such a big Boro fan. Wonder if Venus is going there? No he is Boro fan
  11. He is getting backing by us signing players for cash and permanent deals so please stop otherwise as its untrue
  12. Always going on your betting. To be honest I ain't bothered anymore. You always this stuff after a series of losses or defeat but you are quite silent when we winning. funny that you do this Maybe allow to time for us to develop this style and don't expect instant success. JDT and GB have always said it's project and it needs to time. So we didn't press high today and play with high intensity second half? I didn't like seeing Dack in the 9 role today. Not for game and he ain't suited to it I have to say that to say we deserved naff all is very wrong and I strong disagree. Very true. I will always be the same way every day and I don't worry about anything. I say bring it on! Very honest comments from JDT tonight
  13. My thoughts on the game. First half we were very poor and awful. I thought JDT got his starting line up and formation wrong today. Having Szmodics on the right wing, with Buckley and Dack both as number 10 didn't work. We played with no tempo, not closing down and getting the ball away far too much. I felt the ref miss a clear foul on Szmodics that left him with concussion and him leaving the pitch shortly after. Second half, JDT made 2 subs and what a difference they made aswell as playing Dolan as the pressing forward. Very difference performance, movement, work rate up, closing down much more, playing some good football and created more chances. For me, Hedges was our best player second half and he shown how important he is to this team. Adam Wharton was very good and show why we don't know another centre midfielder after that performance. Also having a player playing the 9 role made a huge difference. We deserved something from that game but we didn't. Some positives to take from that game and some negative. I thought Ayala was a rock at the back with Phillips had a good game at centre back whilst Pickering had a good game and look much improved. Morton show a good range of long passes. Anyway on to Blackpool game where I want a win and 3 points. JDT's Blue and White Army 🔵⚪
  14. Rich Sharpe explaining why we only want 6 signings
  15. Fair enough Rev. I think my opinion on Brittain are well know. Hyam is good signing given his experience, Szmodics might be good signing, Morton seems a good addition to the team. Caulker is being linked with us. Experience. Good back up signing. Then I would like to see pressing striker come in.
  16. fair enough. I accept your points on this. Even I disagree on a few.
  17. @longsiders1882 how many players have you signed now and still no new striker? what do you think of your new keeper signing and does this mean the end of Peacock-Farrell there now?
  18. No problem having an opinion on player especially if you know alot about the player but I do think any debate about comparing squad between this season and last season shouldn't be debating yet and a number of different factors involved like different footballing structure, different head coaches, different tactics and this summer we aren't just loaning players like last season but actually signings players on permanent deals. Plus how they perform on this pitch aswell
  19. Dyche won't be going to Sunderland of their footballing structure there.
  20. Yet again roversfans99 you clearly haven't read what I have said so what the point continuing a pointless debate with you cos you don't read what is put then just go on one of your little rants/points cos people don't agree with. Correct. I just think he was frustrated that we haven't make signings earlier but that's the transfer window for you How many times do you sign your first choice signing for position very unlikely at times down to number of factors. Wrong Simon, I said at the start of the summer we need to make 5 or 6 signings to add the squad plus bring through 4 of our good young players. So you are getting confused and misunderstanding the point being made. So maybe you should delete the recent post so you are clearly in the wrong here. I said tonight that I still would like another centre midfielder in even it appears we won't do this, But If JDT is happy with his options in there then we don't sign a player he doesn't want.
  21. I was shocked that Alex Neil is leaving Sunderland so soon after joining them, but after reading a few articles tonight he seems unhappy with the transfers and strategy there at the Stadium of light. It will be interesting to see who they go for as head coach. Tony Mowbray maybe. he the odds on favourite according to this Sunderland fans site Tony Mowbray the early favourite . . . | RTG Sunderland Message Boards (readytogo.net) . I would be surprised if they went for him but should anything surprise us in football now. Sunderland have put Alex Neil number 2 in charge for tomorrow game according to reports but I would expect him to move to Stoke with Alex Neil when that gets confirm over the weekend
