Season tickets 2022/23
chaddyrovers replied to JHRover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I like listening to different people views on how they became a Rovers fan and what the clubs means to them. Like I have said that Rovers have shot themselves in the foot with pricing structures and should have been at least 100 pounds less. I posted what prices I would have set them at which was reasonable and sensible with good incentives. Plus should have taking into account the cost of living crisis aswell. We should have focus on getting more ST holders in the stadium. Then sensible prices in the club shop and food/drink prices would lead to increases in sales and profit cos people would be buying within the club and not going elsewhere -
Come on England. Surprised the game is on with the reported weather conditions but its starts on time. Interesting New Zealand team was late to the ground cos they expected a delay start

Munoz and Lamouchi both have Championship experience but very left suggestions. That is what we keep being told by these journalists that Rovers wanted Championship experience. Agreed on your last point and why I think it be Cocu or Woodgate or some foreign head coach who has had spell in Championship but his last job wasn't in England that why we are appointing a sporting director to deal with the transfer market and all that allowing the head coach to focus on training ground and organising the team for match days. If Duncan Ferguson was appoint with the right staff for example like Alan Irvine or Craig Short then it could be good appointment but equally it could be another Brian Kidd's appointment. I am opening minded on him cos he could be similar to Mark Hughes and bring the never say die attitude and he is winner. Leaving appointment to the end of June is senseless and put us behind the apple cart.

So its the start of a new week and hopefully we see the key appointments of Sporting Director and Head Coach fill and hopefully by Wednesday. Then this will allow them to bring in some new coaching staff members who the head coach wants and bring in fitness coaches and head of medicine services. So according to the LT and Lancs Live we are holding second interviews with 3 candidates. We don't know who these are and it appears that very little is leaking who these people are. (Nixon said this wrong and Waggott/Pasha need to pick their number 1 candidate and recommend him to Venkys who then interview him and rubber stamp it) On the Sporting Director role is set to be confirmed with a appointment to be announce this week. Supposedly he has been head hut by an agency.

Kevin De Bruyne's comments about the nations league is spot on and why are playing international football when most leagues are starting early to accommodate the World Cup in November
-
We have missed out 3 people I thought could have took us to that next level in Daniel Farke, Carlos Carvalhal and Neil Critchley. Plus Michael Beale aswell. So where we do now? how many candidates have we actually interview and we is Pasha and Waggott struggling to pick a first choice or someone to recommend to the owners to appoint. I don't see clear and obvious choice out there to appoint. Woodgate is a guess from me and nothing more. I'm hopeful an appointment will be made before the weekend(11/12th of June) since the players return on the 13th June with no fitness coaches at the club and no head of medicine services. So we can appoint people to these roles. No not any coach can do, That why you employed specialise coaches to do it or proper trained and qualified physios. We haven't had personal in those positions for years so why have each of the 3 people got to PL clubs or one of the top clubs in Germany. Head of Medicine services Andy Mitchell left us for Red Bull Leipzig. Our Lead Athletic Performance Coach Liam Mason left for the role on Newcastle fitness staff Our number 2 athletic performance coach Jack Dowling left for a similar at Everton No I wouldn't think mad or angry or anything like that about it. What good would it do anyway? Whoever we appoint I want to the reason why we appoint this candidate and what make him the right choice. where has his name came from? He is the director of football who was at Leicester and Everton.

Thanks for sharing what Nixon's article is. I have no access to it. I have not paid for it I've seen the same comments and its a done deal. A couple of days ago the same person was saying he was Waggott's first choice. Someone has backed Ferguson in the past day of so for his odds to go odds on. Some people know something or think they do

didn't see the game but what was the Channel 4 coverage like?

I total agree with his last words of this video. nothing better than watching your team live in a stadium seting -
Missed most of today's cricket but watched the 90 mins of play. England need another 61 runs. Root and Stokes played very well and put us in this position. Will watch highlights after Platinum Party at the Palace on BBC 1
-
Lets hope this is sort by this week with the appointment of the Head coach and some new staff members aswell Looks like Farke won't be coming here. So I am expecting Jonathon Woodgate with Robbie Keane to be appoint head coach and assistant head coach here. But can we expect a surprise appointment by Waggott and Rovers.
-
Lets hope England can get early wickets and make the new ball count. Going to a very good day of cricket hopefully for England
-
Mitchell and Blundell played very well on a flat pitch which is doing nothing at all. Not spinning either. England bowlers kept going. Thought Matt Parkinson done well on a pitch showing no sign of spin. The game is very much in the balance for me and England have a new ball after 1 over of play tomorrow. Day 3 looks like another batting day Stokes had 6 man on the leg side.
-
The pitch has gone very flat now. I'm surprised Matt Parkinson hasn't bowled more. Stokes's tactic of trying to bounce them out isn't working. Pitch too flat for that. I would rather try bowling at the wickets with a 5/4 field and with short extra cover and short mid wicket in place with a slip in place
