  1. I would let him and look to bring someone who will be available for majority of the season
  2. I have said several times what I think will happen. You can't say we are worse without Lenihan until we see who we sign and perform in the coming season. I have said what I think on the Lenihan situation if you disagree fine but that's my opinion.
  3. Who knows if Lenihan would have stay but I think his Boro deal has been done for a while Ronny Deila might want to keep one or 2 of them as they know the playing squad. I would like to see Lowe and Benson gone with Bobby Mimms coming back in. Pleased Grayson won't be coming here.
  4. Very negative attitude and thoughts. I think we will challenging for promotion in the coming season to get the Premier League. If people disagree fine by me.
  5. Rovers didn't get 20 million pounds from the Armstrong's sale cos you forget that Newcastle got 40% of any profit we made on the 3 million pounds we bought him for, I have listened to the interview and Yes I would expect signings to be under 24 years old but we still need 1 or 2 experience signings Blimey give Gregg Broughton a chance. I'm sure he will be heavy involved now with search for head coach now. Well its no surprise to see the link and if he had become number 1 choice now if Delia deal can't be done now I think the work permit for Ronny Delia shouldn't be a problem given he meets the requirements straight forward but It depends how long it would take getting one form the home office. If he is the first choice then pay the compo and get the deal done. From the LT is saying he would only want to bring his his current assistant manager, Efrain Juarez Complex situation facing Blackburn Rovers managerial target Ronny Deila | Lancashire Telegraph
  6. Losing Lenihan is a blow but we should be able to bring in a similar quality player and low cost. I named 2 who wouldn't cost much. Him going to Boro strengthen them but nothing like you are suggesting. If Nyambe we lose him aswell then the target remain the same. Promotion within 2 years as I said
  7. losing Lenihan is a blow to the club. Good player and leader but he wants to new challenge or I think Boro offering a 4 year contract seal the deal there. Good luck to him there. We should be able to replace him with someone of similar quality. Well he signed 2 strikers last January who didn't performed for him. He will sign McGoldrick I bet
  8. Charlie Goode or Alfie Mawson would be good replacement for Lenihan
  9. Always stay positive me. I left at situation as a glass half far not half empty. Those 2 things have served me very well if the last 20 years of my life
  10. I told you what I think will happen. We will promotion/top 6 challenges Fair enough but I do think we will make decent appointment this time. Why not just wait and see what happens financially? I didn't say key roles but I said play a part in the season. We can replace them all. We don't know if Nyambe and Lenihan will stay or not.
  11. Let's see who we appoint firstly. But whoever is appoint the target should remain the same. Appointing Farke or Carvalhal would have great but we haven't. Let's see if Benson and Lowe stay on firstly. But given we Will need to appoint new staff to fitness, medical and physio departments plus appoint a new head of recruitment. Why fear the worst? Yes I can see them having an impact on our season if given a chance. Why not? Which departees?
  12. Sorry Bruce, I have correct the post now. I don't have a CV in the footballing world
  13. on rovers website in the rovers tv section
  14. We need a good new head of recruitment and I am sure Gregg Broughton will be looking for one. I'm sure he has plenty of contacts out there so bring in a good one.
  15. I think we should be aiming for the PL within 2 years now. We got a director of football who will have a footballing strategy to get us there. Now we need a good head coach who will play a style and formation that's suits these players. Yes we didn't get Farke or Carvalhal but we will hopefully make a good appointment but whoever is appointment the target should still be PL within 2 years Now you mention having to replace certain players who have left the club or might be leaving. This is all down to recruitment and getting in players who will deliver and improve the clubs whilst bringing some young players into the first team squad like Jake Garrett, Jack Vale and Ash Phillips. If Brereton does go then hopefully we will some of the money of that money to sign some players but there is a lot of good players out there for low fees or even on free transfer who would improve us. I see plenty of reasons to be optimistic for the coming season. If you don't fine but that's ain't mine.
  16. After listening to Gregg Broughton's interview he talks about having football startegy and becoming a sustainable Premier League Club. Its good to see him having some ambition on day 1 of the job. Hopefully this can become reality now. Very interest to see who we appoint now as head coach
  17. The recruitment and scouting team which need to new staff adding to it since Park is going, a couple of others have left recently. Its going to be a busy rest of the week for Gregg Broughton as we need fitness staff for Monday, Physios and recruitment staff plus a head coach appointment Thanks Mike. I did whether we can get him I just don't know to be honest
  18. why shouldn't it be? We should be always aiming for promotion and not keep settling for mid table mediocre. We don't know who the next head coach but we have bought in an experience person as Director of football. Hopefully Lenihan and Nyambe will stay at Rovers so then we need 6 quality signings in my opinion even if we lose Ben Brereton which looks likely.
  19. Does look a good appointment based on his CV.. Let's hope the head coach appointment is done by Friday
  20. Looks like a good CV with 20 years experience in the game in recruitment and academy roles
  21. Rovers seems to have kept the 3 names who will be second interview stage out of the public domain and nothing is leaking who these are. I don't think any journalist will break the name we will appoint before the club announce the appointment
