  1. This is why Joe Root is the best batsman in the world
  2. Its been a very 4 days of celebrating the Jubilee. Thought the music concert was excellent last night. We show the world that we can put a our show for our Queen and celebrate 70 years of her being Queen.
  3. For me, he is leader by his attitude and how he plays. my next choice would Scott Wharton. Daniel Ayala wouldn't be anywhere near the captaincy of the club and I would get rid of him cos he not fit enough to play a proper part in our season.
  4. Yes Someone on Facebook Rovers page is saying that Ronny Delia has been staying on Northcote and he has been seen with Rovers officials. Don't know how true that is.
  5. Well I did receive a Rovers leaflet about renewing my ST in the post about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I had already renewed by then.
  6. I totally understand what you are saying and I agree to a point. We know that Carlo Ancelotti has pushed Ferguson for the job here by making a personal call himself to our CEO Waggott. Would Waggott listen to his opinion and go for Ferguson for at interview I don't know. Maybe a phone call was made but quick phone call but nothing more. I don't know anymore. I just hope they appoint someone to both roles this week
  7. Well Simon, what price would you charge? how you market the ST offers to people? target leaflet campaign in the Blackburn with Darwen area plus other areas like Hyndburn, Ribble Valley, etc for an example This was my plan for prices of season tickets and match day tickets I would be offering Season tickets in Blackburn End, family stand area and the Riverside stand for £300, Jack Walker for £350 if you purchase before End of May as an Early Bird offer. After May Those would increased to £340 and £390. This would be adults. Any child under the age of 11 would cos a pound for season ticket for all areas. between 11 and 16 would be £25. Between 16 to 21 would be £100 and for seniors my price would £120 for Blackburn End and Riverside stand, 140 pounds for the Jack Walker stand. Also for any fan who purchase a season ticket under the early bird scheme would get a 25% reduction on a Home or away shirt to be purchase before the end of October. Also any season ticket holder under the age of 16 or senior would receive a 50% reduction on Rovers hat, scarf and gloves set Match day prices would 15 pounds for midweek game but reduce to 10 pounds if you been to previous midweek game that season. Prices for weekend games would be 20 pounds but reduce to 15 pounds if you have been to previous weekend game that season. Also If any fan who has been to 5 games would receive a 20% of Rovers home or away shirt that season.
  8. If you read the article this morning posted by Sharpe he is again hedging his bets by saying there hasn't been an approach but in the coming days they may be. But then saying a week or so ago they wanted Championship experience was part of the criteria to appointing a new head coach. Some people have been backing Ferguson on the betting market, He is 1/3 this morning on Sky Bet and he has been the favourite and almost odds on for nearly a week. Something isn't right here cos people are betting on him for a reason. Good point and it wouldn't surprised if he one that has been interviewed by the club
  9. I renewed cos I enjoyed watching my team play and I don't do much more apart from that socially apart from the odd Cinema trip and meal out
  10. Yes the club should have recognise the current cost of living crisis alot of Rovers fans will be going through now.
  11. I agree there. I think Test Cricket is my favourite format of cricket. I watched the first 2 days of play without missing a ball of the day.
  12. I agree with Woodgate making the final 3 if that second interview stage of 3 candidates is correct. Question is how would any new head coach improve us and what plan does he had, what formation and style would he play and can he achieve on us getting into those playoff place/top 2 cos we should be challenging/going for promotion. I seen those rumours but we don't know how many staff Carvalhal wanted to come or those wages of them. I agree that the new head coach should be allow to bring his own number, fitness coach and GK coach, but I would want Damien Johnson to stay on the staff here and continue in the role he is now. Question is has Duncan Ferguson now been approach and spoken to now that we seen Carvalhal, Farke, Beale and Critchley gone elsewhere?
  13. interesting figures there Tyrone. One of the reasons Rovers should have lower their ST prices for this coming season
  14. Excellent England win. England played very well in that second innings. Joe Root is pure class. Form is temporary class is permanent. People should never doubt this team and maybe people will learn never back against them. I thought Kane Williamson misused his spinner in the second innings. Think it will Simon Doull who said yesterday that Williamson doesn't know how to use his spinner when the pitch isn't spinning Well done England on this test match win
  15. I like listening to different people views on how they became a Rovers fan and what the clubs means to them. Like I have said that Rovers have shot themselves in the foot with pricing structures and should have been at least 100 pounds less. I posted what prices I would have set them at which was reasonable and sensible with good incentives. Plus should have taking into account the cost of living crisis aswell. We should have focus on getting more ST holders in the stadium. Then sensible prices in the club shop and food/drink prices would lead to increases in sales and profit cos people would be buying within the club and not going elsewhere
  16. Come on England. Surprised the game is on with the reported weather conditions but its starts on time. Interesting New Zealand team was late to the ground cos they expected a delay start
  17. Munoz and Lamouchi both have Championship experience but very left suggestions. That is what we keep being told by these journalists that Rovers wanted Championship experience. Agreed on your last point and why I think it be Cocu or Woodgate or some foreign head coach who has had spell in Championship but his last job wasn't in England that why we are appointing a sporting director to deal with the transfer market and all that allowing the head coach to focus on training ground and organising the team for match days. If Duncan Ferguson was appoint with the right staff for example like Alan Irvine or Craig Short then it could be good appointment but equally it could be another Brian Kidd's appointment. I am opening minded on him cos he could be similar to Mark Hughes and bring the never say die attitude and he is winner. Leaving appointment to the end of June is senseless and put us behind the apple cart.
  18. So its the start of a new week and hopefully we see the key appointments of Sporting Director and Head Coach fill and hopefully by Wednesday. Then this will allow them to bring in some new coaching staff members who the head coach wants and bring in fitness coaches and head of medicine services. So according to the LT and Lancs Live we are holding second interviews with 3 candidates. We don't know who these are and it appears that very little is leaking who these people are. (Nixon said this wrong and Waggott/Pasha need to pick their number 1 candidate and recommend him to Venkys who then interview him and rubber stamp it) On the Sporting Director role is set to be confirmed with a appointment to be announce this week. Supposedly he has been head hut by an agency.
  19. Neil Critchley was a 'candidate' for Blackburn Rovers before leaving Blackpool for Aston Villa - reports - LancsLive
  20. Thanks for reply. Someone like Xisco Munoz or Dani Martinez the ex Granada head coach. Sabri Lamouchi?
  21. so Carlo Ancelotti was the heavyweight who backed Ferguson for the role here
  22. We need our own permanently fitness coaches on the staff full time, not your local gym guys thanks. wrong again, I know of him when he joined Steven Gerrard at Rangers on his coaching staff actually
