  1. there is no Rovers next manager market anywhere
  2. Yes fans are unhappy with Mowbray as manager or Waggott as CEO of the club. But how many of them want to make a protest like you want to? Have you talk or conduct a survey of the wider fan base to see if any people want to protest? Didn't plenty of the supporters base stick to together over the redevelopments at STC at Brockhall to defeat those plans? If you don't want to merchandise from Rovers Stuart then don't but I'm not going to any fans what to do. Each have the own choice. I haven't bought a Rovers shirt this season but thats cos I haven't been to any games and we been on lockdown most of the season. Will I buy a shirt or merchandise next season, more than likely. Probably buy a Rovers Shirt depending on the style and whether I like them. My Step Daughter will probably want some Rovers merchandise when we return, so are suggesting I say no to her?
  3. I would say the positions I named are were we need playing in. Deffo need a centre back, right back, midfield, wide and up front even more so if Armstrong leaves
  4. Well not all 1st choice players but for the squad yes. But getting rid of some of the deadwood is needed like Bennett, Bell, Johnson and Evans is a must for me as I said to Tomphil thats if Mowbray wants to play this possession based game then he needs to sign players that fit the style and stick by it. Its not the way I would play.
  5. Fair enough. Who would be your choice by interest?
  6. do I really have any control how the club is run? Oh well. We have no idea how much season tickets will be or whether fans will go next season. Who knows. I rather watch and support my team inside a stadium than watch a stream or tv screen.
  7. I don't see Ainsworth going to PNE myself. On Neil replacing Mowbray, Should be interview along with people like Wilder, Hughes, Rowett, Ainsworth and few other names if we have vacancy. Still hoping that your info along with @Paul Mani and @oldjamfan1is correct and Mowbray is gone in the summer
  8. From what @J*Bposted a couple of weeks ago that Pasha has worked for Venkys for a while and he is Balaji's right hand man who runs his investments for him which Rovers are one. I don't know him he actually has certain agents connections. When Mowbray was appointed here we had Paul Senior who told me via email that Mowbray was his first choice to replace Coyle. I agree that Mowbray has been given 3 years to build a squad good enough for promotion and back by the owners financially so I don't know how he has managed to convince Pasha and Balaji to continue as manager next season. But if Mowbray is here next season the pressure will be on him from game 1 from fans cos people want promotion and plenty of supporters wanted a change of manager If Mowbray wants to play this possession based game then actually sign players with the attributes to play that style and how you wants. Not sign Ayala, Gallagher or Johnson for example don't fit this style. I think we are better trying to play a counter attacking style or abit more of direct style relying on wingers to put good crossing in for 2 strikers for next season
  9. Yes I think know what your issues are. I never thought you were trying to make me guilty at all. I don't feel let down tho. after the past 12 months I want to get back to kind of normality and getting back to supporting Rovers inside Ewood Park is one of those things
  10. Nixon and Sharpe have both same that Mowbray is staying and working on signings. Nixon has said that Mowbray is working on transfers with Pasha so I guess the budget has been agreed which is a first for Venkys if true. Now if thats the case and true then its suggest he is staying for next season. Now is that I want or what I would have done? Of course not, as I want a change of manager and tactical approach to achieve promotion. How we will perform next season? Time to judge that is after seeing who we sign and who leaves plus other teams. Its will be interesting to see who Mowbray or whoever is charge signs and how we replace Armstrong. We have spoken before about who I would sign this summer but I aint the manager tho. Think we agree that Holtby, Johnson, Evans, Bennett, Downing and Bell should be release this season. Can we agree on that? Can we agree that we should invoke 12 months club extensions on Nyambe, Rankin-Costello and Rothwell? Can we agree that we need a 1 right back signing, 1 centre back signing, 1 left back signing, 2 centre midfielder, 2 wide players and 1 striker(and another If Armstrong goes) as summer signings this summer? Also can we agree that we need to get some of these signings(4 or 5) done before pre seasons starts?
  11. Can't see Ainsworth taking the Preston North End head coach job. Don't forget they don't want manager who is in charge of signings but a head coach who will have a say on transfers but final decision who they sign with be the head of recruitment and Peter Ridsdale from what I have read. Can't see Ainsworth working under that situation
  12. All down to the quality of the signings the manager makes whether its Mowbray or a new manager(which I prefer) for next season.
  13. I think its been far less entertaining cos of lack of fans inside stadiums. So you lose the atmosphere which can inspire teams. The best 2 squads in the league have got the top 2 spots. No surprises. Now between Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Derby who go down.
  14. What statement do you want to make? Stuart, if you don't want to renew/get a season ticket, no issues for me and I fully understand but every fan will make their decisions on their views and what kind of normality they want to get back to Given that for the past 13 months we have lived under some form restrictions where we have limited our social contact with friends or family, or unable to attend football games with friends or family or even go to the pub for a meal or drink with friends. Now these restrictions have lifted somewhat I can't wait to get back to Ewood Park to support the team with my step daughter and friends. Just like I am looking forward to going out for a meal with few drinks next Saturday evening with my missus and best friend and his missus. Get back to some form of normal life after being on lockdown for months. I will supporting my club I have supported all my lifetime. I'm not going to stop going cos of the manager who I want replacing. I didn't want Ince to become manager when he did get the job, having Kean and Coyle didn't stop me going either. If you don't want a ST then thats fine with me. I have no issues with your choice but please don't start trying me feel guilty at all cos I don't or won't They don't make me feel guilty at all.
  15. Depending on who we sign and how we use the Armstrong's money if we sell him
  16. I've no idea on Wilder's wages at Sheffield United. Wilder was in the lower leagues before he got a chance at his hometown club and the team he supported. Look where he took them. Similar to what Ainsworth could do here. He would united the fans and he could get the owners to understand the club they bought from a Blackburn fan and someone from the town. He should be option. But so should Hughes(who would be my 1st choice), Wilder, Rowett, Rosler plus a few other names. Thanks Mike for mentioning that. Hughes leaving for Manchester City was one of the saddest days of supporting the club I would loved Hughes back here as manager with Bowen and Bellamy on his staff.
  17. I would say its will be season tickets holders only at games even after June restrictions have gone. Also I want to get to support my team inside a stadium. I dont want to watch a stream or watch on TV every game of my team. After being ST holder for over 20 years now apart from the last 13 months I am used to watching my Rovers inside a stadium. No.Manager is going to stop me from doing that. Ince didnt, Kean didnt, Coyle didnt and Mowbray wont. Yes I want to change in the manager hot seat asap. But I can't force Venkys to do that.
  18. According to Nicko Mowbray is working with Pasha on bringing in these new signings.
  19. Looking like Mowbray knows his budget for next season according to Nixon in the Sun on Sunday and will be in talks this week for potential targets https://the72.co.uk/232852/blackburn-rovers-boss-learns-summer-budget-talks-with-transfer-targets-commencing-next-week/
  20. If after the season we just had and we are finishing mid table this season after Mowbray's 3 year plan has been financially backed by Owners isnt enough to put pressure on Mowbray and his future then nothing well. Plus 3 wins in 18 games run and not scoring 24 1st halfs this season aswell. 2 very damning stats on Mowbray So the answer is no. Fans being in the stadium is a good thing. Mowbray been lucky no fans have been inside stadiums cos he would have felt the anger and displeasure from fans over results, performance and tactics. I cant see clubs being allow to have full stadiums and social distancing will be still in place even after June from what I read a few weeks ago. No chance you are going to have a full Wembley stadium for Euros. Possibly 33 to 50% full.. UEFA want Stadiums to be at least 25% full.
  21. You need to ask them dont you?
  22. Just think he should be one we should look at and possibly interview along with a number of different options out there like Wilder(Knill), Hughes(Bowen and Bellamy), Rosler(Kelly), Ainsworth and Rowett, Is mid table Championship budget going to attract a Wilder or Hughes type? Who are you thinking we could attract? What is wrong with appointing Ainsworth for example who has 2 promotions on his CV and has learnt this season at Wycombe on one of the smaller budget in the league as seen in recent seasons.
