  1. I can't believe Rovers owners are so loyal to these 2 people in Waggott and Mowbray who need sacking asap after a disaster of a season following financial support from them. cant believe they trust them. In totally bewildering. What is Pasha here for? Why are they so loyal to Mowbray? Is it Balaji he speaks to mainly or the whole family of 4?
  2. Ismaël used to play for Palace in his playing days and he isnt a manager at Barnsley but a head coach there so how much involved does he have recruitment and scouting players there? Does Dyche seen it as upgrade?
  3. Who are these so called bigger names? I've seen they be linked with Eddie Howe(still in talks with Celtic), Swansea head coach Steve Cooper, Burnley manager Sean Dyche and Barnsley head coachValérien Ismaël Valérien Ismaël is the head coach there not manager at Barnsley as they have a different Footballing structure. Jump the gun yet again Jim. Didn't they win last night?
  4. I don't know how much Tosin was on then or now. European leagues wont be in favour of a salary cap across all leagues. Clubs need to financial sound and not over pay the players. But if Clubs like Man City can afford to pay that wages then fair enough. I dont have a problem with it. Maybe annual salary maybe 60/80 percent of turnover. They have tried this to get more income for them and guarantee income each season. 3 of these 6 British clubs won't be the champions league next season. Chelsea and Manchester City owners can afford to cover the losses. If you look at Juventus, Barcelona and Real are in debt those poor financial decisions they make but it doesnt stop Real Madrid offering big wage salary to David Alaba to sign there in the summer when he is a free agent. Can Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal owners cover the losses for next season when they aren't in the champions league?
  5. Look at Wycombe budget compare to ours? Thats was years ago. Time to move on. No we are in this mess cos the owners got it badly wrong from day 1 when we were in the PL. We have made wrong appointments like Coyle or Kean. What is wrong with looking at manager who has managed 2 promotions on shoestring of a budget? The job he done there has been remarkable. Yes look at Hughes or Wilder or Rowett and interview them. Even appointing them there is the same risk as appoint someone like Ainsworth. But appoint the best manager/head coach for the job we can get after interviewing 4 or 5 candidates at least.
  6. But are we shareholders of the club, if the government introduce fan ownership law then we can became part owner in the club we love. Its down to each club to run the club financially viable and if their owner that is willing to invest in the club through their own money and not loans from banks than I all for it. Just look at Manchester City owners and the investment they have made in the club, training ground facilities, academy and local area. We shouldn't be against people investing money in their clubs. Just look at Jack Walker and the amount of investment he made in his club. Without that we wouldn't have won the PL or the league cup. 2 of my greatest days as a Supporter of this club. Do Wage caps work in league 1 or 2?
  7. I think the reaction from everyone has spooked them enough that will never happen again. UEFA are reforming the Champions League. Now we must reform the ownership of clubs and get fans involved in the ownership of clubs, on club board and give them a voice. making it law that fans must be consult and ballot if any more plans like this come forward. Also I am looking forward to the report from the Fans led inquiry from Tracey Crouch and what recommendations with be recommend I also think FSG will be move force out by the Liverpool fans over the coming months and same with Kroenke at Arsenal
  8. Surely appointing the right manager whether its a Wilder or Hughes, Ainsworth or Rowett type on the budget we will have next season and getting the recruitment right within their tactical approach. I am open to foreign head coach under Sporting Director in the right circumstances aswell. This summer decisions are vital we get it right if we are going to progress next season Howe is in talks with Celtic I would suggest that the Barnsley Ismael will have bigger clubs and possible PL club like Palace(who I have seen his name link with) and possibly Sheffield United. Why wouldn't Ainsworth get a mention for this job considering the job he has done at Wycombe on a shoestring budget and Warne at Rotherham has had financially more than Ainsworth has?
  9. I think the overall reaction from players, managers, former players and fans the from the UK Government have completely shocked them. Just look at Liverpool owner John W Henry interview today. Also any sanctions will affect the clubs players, managers and fans who have no part in these plans. If Clubs can afford those wages then fair enough. But clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid are in massive debt through overpaying on transfers and wages.
  10. You are correct Dowden's speech was good and this review headed by Tracey Crouch will go ahead. Yes Real Madrid and Barcelona dont have club owners but Presidents who run for an election every 4 years. Barcelona's president Joan Laporte said in January he was against these Super League plans so why 3 months later we did he agree to them without asking Club supporters
  11. Yes they signed up to it but within 48 hours bottled it and retreated just like Neville said they would. Pressure from the follballing and political side in his country forced the 6 owners to back tracked so quickly. When Pep Guardiola comments were as such you suspect they would be 1st club to back down and withdraw from it.. From what I have read Chelsea and Man City were reluctant to join this Super League and really wish they have took a stand against the other 4 British teams. I would say that you are looking at 2 ownership changes in the 12 months at Liverpool with FSG and Arsenal with Kroneke family. Can't see where FSG can stay as Liverpool owners long term. I suspect the government will bring in legislation that we make another move like this one will be illegal with fan consultation and a ballot of fans. Plus introduction of fans being part owners of clubs and being board members.
  12. Yes I think he will be gone based on results after being backed financially this season. He is still trying to communicate with the owners through the media
  13. I wouldn't sanction the these 6 clubs as such but I would be looking towards fans having shares within their clubs, fans on club board and any kind of plans like these again Fans need to be consult and ballot before clubs are allow to join them.
  14. Well done to the The players for coming out against this Super League idea, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp for their open and brutal honest comments against this Super League, other PL/foriegn clubs owners/CEO's, managers and players who spoke against this idea, football pundits like Gary Neville, Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand for not supporting these plans and being so against them, the government for backing the fans and voicing they would stop them and most importantly the fans who voiced their opposition to these crazy, ill thought and stupid Super League plans. We have shown these owners of these clubs and the people who came up with these plans that we do have a voice and we can stop them. I don't think the owners of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal really understands the British supporters of football club and how passionate we are about our game or how our game is based on competitive. I wouldn't be surprise if Liverpool fans forced FSG out of Liverpool in the coming months. I agree that the Champions League and Europa League need revamping and I would like to see it back to knockout tournament and no group stage. But that will never happen sadly As Jimmy Bullard says on Soccer AM
  15. Its great that Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp have come out against these Super League plans, and its appears the players are against it. Its great the Government will do anything to stop this Super League from happening including any Legislation needed. Also good to see fans putting up banners outside their club's stadiums.
  16. Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson calls emergency meeting between Premier League captains with the England man set to spearhead players' response to Super League proposals https://mol.im/a/9491339
  17. Isn't strange that Manchester City own official twitter account has posted exactly what Pep Guardiola has said this matter. I'm expecting Manchester City to back out of this shortly, probably next 24 tto 48 hours.
  18. Widely reported that Keand has been in for talks with Celtic and their broad. But overlook for Howe Howe has been in talks for days from media reports. In talks over staff, budgets and targets
  19. Kane, Ronaldo and Messi commenting on this would help this cause. Pep Guardiola press conference is tomorrow I think
  20. I just dont see it happening in a month of Sundays. You are want dream about it happening then fair enough Biesla is on around 6 million I believe. Celtic are in advanced talks with Eddie Howe. Roy Keane was in talks aswell but not gone further Why is Klopp going to leave Liverpool?
  21. Bruno Fernandes is the first one. Wonder how many more will today or tomorrow?
