  1. I suggested Bowen more of a head coach figure with a sporting Director above him like Mike Rigg. If Wilder is off to Celtic as @Paul Mani has said then wipe him name of the list. Perhaps Hughes and Neil would be the 2 leading favourites for the job if we have a vacancy this week Ainsworth and Robins both have 2 promotions on the CV's and knows what it takes to get promotion. I suggested Lee Carsley cos he might be a hidden gem similar to Steve Cooper at Swansea. Who thought he would have done so well. Davidson has just won a trophy at St. Johnstone in his 1st season as manager. Can't see Rovers paying Jokanovic's reported salary demands. I understand why you suggested him Carvalhal ain't leaving Braga to come here when they are 1 point of champions League place and only 4 points off top of the league. Would you move? On Oscar Garcia, He never stayed longer than a year at any club apart from Red Bull Salzburg, so why Without an experience Sporting Director at the club. I can't see anyone at the club knowing much about Overseas managers or head coaches available. unless we use an agent. The Owners could have bought in Sporting Director/head coach structure many seasons ago and stick with it but they don't. They have appoint people but never for longer than a season like Paul Senior, Simon Hunt, Shebby Singh. why Stendal? sacked at Barnsley and Hearts?
  2. Firstly, who knows what they will do about that whole amount. But give that money and the same wage budget as this year and a good manager would get us top 6 IMO
  3. Its seems alot of fans blaming Peter Risdale and saying he is the problem. I can see Preston going for Morecambe Derek Adams or Crewe David Artell.
  4. Here are some British managers/head coaches we could target to replace Mowbray before next season Unemployed people:- Chris Wilder Mark Hughes Alex Neil Alan Pardew Garry Monk Neil Harris Tony Pulis Mark Bowen Employed people but some realistic targets in my opinion Mark Robins from Coventry Gareth Ainsworth from Wycombe Ryan Lowe from Plymouth David Artell from Crewe Karl Robinson from Oxford Gary Rowett from Millwall Callum Davidson from St. Johnstone Lee Carsley, England Under 20's manager Here are some Foreign managers/head coaches we could target to replace Mowbray before next season(dont know whether they would be interested as I don't follow European football much) Marco Silva, former Everton, Watford and Hull head coach Bruno Lage, former Benfica head coach Vladimir Ivic, Former Watford head coach David Wagner, Former Huddersfield head coach What do people think and feel free to suggestion potential targets in you have any. Thanks
  5. It's you saying Mowbray doesnt have full control over transfers, so if you saying this how do you know? Any good manager will rely on his scouting, recruitment and data analysis staff for transfer targets..
  6. Unless we are in the room when transfers how do any of us know really? If you know more please feel free to share with the messageboard Mowbray has a staff he trusted like trusting Lowe's judgement on Sam Hart, or scouts on Dolan or European scouts on Kaminski. These are from Mowbray's comments in the media.
  7. Preston have put Alex Neil's number 2 McAvoy in charge for the rest of the season with Steve Thompson, Paul Gallagher assisting him
  8. But Wilder left Sheffield United and one of the reason was over them wanting to bring in sporting director. Well Guess what, WBA have a sporting director/head coach structure and Luke Dowling is their sporting director. Celtic are meant to bring in a sporting director there. So will that appeal to Wilder? Rovers can offer him total control of transfers to attract him. Are Venkys bothered about attractive football if we got to the PL? Didn't Wilder have to report to their owner and CEO so no different with Pasha and Venkys?
  9. Work the Venky way? What does that mean? Plenty of good managers/head coaches out there. Celtic have been linked with Wilder. But Rovers could get in there first and offer him the terms to come here.
  10. @Mercer, you still think he is still coming here to replace Mowbray?
  11. No idea to be honest. At a guess 500 to 650k a year. Alot of good managers/head coaches out there who want come here and enjoy the challenge of getting us up
  12. With alot of players out of contract and must I would let go anyway. You dont need to write off the summer transfer window. Look at Reading as an example who appointed their head coach a week before the season started. A new footballing management in place will already have ideas of who they want and how to play. Pre season can be change with overseas trips and matches looking unlikely to the virus anyway
  13. Sweeping changes would be welcome. A new CEO to replace Waggott is a must. Plus changes to football side whether its bringing in manager like Wilder or Hughes, or bringing in sporting director with head coach structure. But we need a plan of how we are going to get promote within 2 years. Back the new guys to achieve it financially. Getting back to PL is achievable under a new guy. It isnt under Mowbray sadly. Venkys have backed Mowbray financially but we are no better off then 2 years ago positional in the league. So he must carry the can and be sack. He has tried his best but not good enough to achieve it
  14. Not if we have a manager and structure to come in.
  15. I never thought those 2 had any real problems over the manager. Pasha is on twitter so I sent him the Wilder article saying he is open to any managerial jobs this morning
  16. Well I hope that they recommend sacking Waggott and Mowbray during the next week. Wilder is available and they should be opening talks with him now. Hes is open to managerial offers so what are waiting for. We can hire a company to find a proper experience CEO to run the club
  17. Thanks @J*Bfor all the info. Do Babu and Pasha have the power to remove Waggott or Mowbray from their Rovers positions without Balaji approvement? Is Mrs D or Mr D or Venky Rao have any major interest apart from shareholders in Rovers?
  18. Most clubs transfers will be low transfer fees, free transfers and strikers. But if we do sale Armstrong then its important we use that money to improve the entire squad and not just use that money on 1 or 2 players
  19. Sheffield United are targeting Jokanovic and Swansea's head coach Steve Cooper to replace Chris Wilder. They look like a director of football/head coach will be brought in there. Jokanovic's contract is up in the summer at the club in Qatar Supposedly his wages are 2 million pounds a season. Would Rovers pay that for a manager/head coach?
  20. If we bring in a new manager/head coach now or at the end of the season it gives that new guy a chance to build his own squad from day one. An exciting prospect for the new guy
  21. Thanks for reply. How has Bayliss been used since signing there and why did the club signed him if Neil didn't want him. You could have bought a striker with that money which you have lacked during his spell there
  22. Who will you look to replace him with? Who would you want? Any suggestions?
