  1. Good move for him
  2. Spot on again Paul. I ???
  3. Another stupid EFL rule bought in..suits smaller clubs like Andy Holt cos of the smaller budget but restricted clubs like Portsmouth and Sunderland massively. Should be linked to turnover of funds and if their owners are willing to fund the club at that level with their own cash should be allow to
  4. Josh King linked with PSG and a number of different PL club..so hopefully we have sell on clause in there so we get some money. Possible 2 to 3 million pounds.
  5. We have looked at Philips and Spoken to Charlton about him. Asking price more than Million pounds at the minute. Philips has only 12 months left on his deal and with Charlton ownership and financial problems probably going to worse if they dont pass the EFL ownership test. I would guess Rovers have spoken to a number of clubs about their keeper finding out prices and their agents for wages demands. Nothing wrong with looking loan options for keeper slot. Work for Sheffield United and Wilder with Dean Henderson or Rotherham with Rodak and Iversen.
  6. Bristol City have offered Dean Holden the head coach job. Decision Monday if he accepts it. Meanwhile Jamie McAllister has been sacked by the club
  7. if Rovers want Charlton Keeper Philips then hopefully we are putting a bid in now thats Charlton off the field problems continue to carry with 3 people have failed the EFL ownership test and They have failed to sign 2 players today cos the EFL would not sanctioned those transfers cos they are in a registration embargo Philips has only a year left on his current contract so shouldn't cost more than 1 million pounds https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-charlton-efl-phillips-18735581
  8. Rovers back for the start of pre season training on 17th August.
  9. That's was over 2 weeks ago. Alot would have gone on since then. Cant go.off a manager in a post match interview Mowbray said he hadn't had full clarity on his budget after the Luton game.
  10. How do you know we are dithering this summer? Forget past transfer windows.
  11. But then thats come back to recruitment and we might have different transfer targets to someone like Stoke. We might have bids in for the players we want right now. We just don't know
  12. Depends who we are looking at the position for. I would look at getting Barry Douglas from Leeds. Quality player. Yes some free agents market is start to go elsewhere but would you say in your opinion we miss out on someone you would have like here?
  13. He is only 23 years old. So you aren't asking him to commit to his best years are you?
  14. is he any improvement on Bell?
  15. Of course it is Armstrong interest to stay here and play under Mowbray were his talent have been develop and becoming the player he should.
  16. why wouldn't he sign that? Plays his best football under Mowbray, Key player to the team and I would be make him our top earner at the club
  17. so you would sell Armstrong for 10 million? I would be giving him a new 4 year contract with no release clause in the contract
  18. Can you say this is the case please? I want him to stay of course. Very good player at this level
  19. Gibson panicked about Woodgate taking the club down. He wanted him appointed and get what he asked for. When Pulis announced he wants going, it was clear that Woodgate would get the job so why did Gibson wait so long to appoint him. strange. Birmangham have had most managers and will be surprise if Karanka is still employed by end of the 20/21 season with Birmingham City record with manager. Was Karanka even 1st choice. They have had Rowett, Zola, Redknapp, Cotterill, Monk, Clotet. You are totally corrected by they are run by loons. Club owners won't like be told that Hughton price and terms are this. if thats his attitude do you really think they are going to appoint him? Do you see Watford appoint Hughton as manager?
  20. You seen Parker work at Fulham even he was on the coaching staff under previous manager there. He had his own ideas how he wanted his teams to play which was different to previous manager. and he achieve promotion there. Bournemouth need a massive turnover in players. Some haven't perform last season. Hughton is in 60 years old and he got the Newcastle head coach job on the back of Kinnear health problems and Ashley not wanting Shearer to stay on. So he was once a rookie manager so it can work for some clubs. I can understand why some clubs are going for head coach route with them focusing on training and coaching the team whilst recruitment is left to others to scout players and do the leg work as such. I do wonder if Hughton wants too much control of non-coaching matters or too much money wages wise. Some managers would complete control and some people are working together with sporting director/director of football.
  21. Its a fair point about Stagnant about Bournemouth but if they feel that Tindall is the man plus if finances are being tighter this summer with clubs who have made internal appointment after a change of manager which has been seen at League 1 and 2 clubs. I'm sure Tindall has his own ideas and if the squad is change enough it come work. you do bring up Hughton name every time but why aren't clubs not appointing him I wonder?
