  1. Yes we need sign a number of new players who will fit into what Ismael(if he still here) style of play and I expect quite a few of signings from French, German and Belgium leagues. What is a competitive budget at this level and how much do you want? I think we have similar to spend this summer as last season(24/25 season). Around the £4-£5m transfer fee. Need a new keeper for sure, centre back, box to box midfielder, 2 wingers, another striker. Hopefully Weimann and Batth sign for next season otherwise we might another 2 signings there. Right back if Duru is loan out for the season or injured. Pears should be sold, JRC is another possible sale I would consider cos he hasn't improved, Maybe even a couple more Some of that money cover their losses over a season and some gone to the running cost of the club. Pasha said they spend £4.5m on transfer fees this season during the interviews he did
  2. YES!!! Communicate to your supporters and stakeholders why you have made that appointment, budgets, etc. Effective communication Communication is crucial and being open and honest about decisions, why people have left, why appointments have been made would help connect, etc, etc For example if I appointed a new CEO, then he would do interviews with Rovers TV, Radio Lancs and LT, whilst me as the owner would do similar why they have been appointed and what they would bring the club and its stakeholders. Effective proper communication.
  3. Matty asked me a couple of weeks a similar question and I said last summer I wouldn't appointed into that role in the first place as I thought we needed someone with experience in that role given our budget we had. That not against Gestede cos I don't see at the job but I would have appoint an experience DoF. my point was about Football as a Whole. What players were signed against Eustace desire? What was Eustace's role and did he caused the disagreements in recruitment cos he wanted Championship experience signings? Did Eustace wanted Gueye, Ohashi, Beck, Batth who proved to be good signings? Given that head coaches didn't last long within the game, you need a director of football to have plan for short, medium and long term, employ scouts and data analysis, bring him new players. Employ the right head coach to fit in with players but also the short and medium plan of the club if it such a bad structure to have in place why did clubs all over have the
  4. Toth Montgomery Hyam Batth Pickering Travis Tronstad Dolan Ohashi Cantwell Gueye
  5. of course it benefitted football as a whole.
  6. from 15/20 years ago. Social media and online media is here and you can used to your benefit or not. Rovers should do more and communicate much better and communicate to your supporters. Waggott and Gestede should have been out there after Eustace left and when Ismael was appointed. Why Gestede was appointed. Etc etc Its about open with what and why decisions have been made and communicate those decisions have been made to your club supporters. Its called effective communication with your stakeholders.
  7. I know what I said thanks RF99 but the overall point was footballing structure to prevent the Gallagher type situation and have more structure and scouting system to finding and recruiting potential players to sign. piss off? care to explain it more?
  8. no one employ managers anymore. Its the head coach structure now with Sporting Director or Director of football. the game has moved on
  9. ok thanks for sharing that. I apprenticed it 👍
  10. Nathan Aspinall has been very good tonight, deserved to be in the final
  11. Communication is part of the issue under these owners and it has been many different situations. The Eustace situation was one example or why GB left and the plan was after or the Indian Court situation. Plus many other examples Clean plan and communication with the supporters goes along way and explaining to us the supporters why decisions have been made.
  12. The world has move on from those days. Clear, proper and quick communication with supporters is valid and making people feel part of their club and know is going on whether they like it or not
  13. it was just one example of why the communication should have been better.
  14. thanks for the reply. His profile is still on the website and says he is still on the board
  15. had the communication been better for years and they communicate properly, we might not be here now For example Derby approach Eustace and Rovers on the Friday before the Wolves game but somehow he is allow to take charge of that game then he said he has just find out post game about the approach, which wasn't true. Rovers and Eustace didn't tell the fans the exactly situation, trust breaks down there. That situation was mis management by the club. Rovers should have put Eustace, Downing and Gardiner on gardening leave and Rovers should have put Lowe and Johnson until further notice. Rovers on Saturday morning release a statement saying Derby has approach us for Eustace and his staff, They want to hold talks with them so they have been place on Gardening leave and who is in charge of the first team affairs until further notice. Sadly we didn't do any of them and we didn't know who was in charge of WBA game until 2 hours before kick off. Then after Eustace move to Derby was done and confirmed, Rovers CEO or Director of football should have been in front of camera doing an interview with Elliott Jackson, Radio Lancs and Rovers TV explaining why Eustace left what the plan is going forward and the process to appointing a new head coach. Then why Ismael was appointed, Gestede and Waggott should have done a press conference with Ismael telling the fans why he was picked, etc, etc. Same with the transfer window, etc, etc.
  16. It was post and point about how a football club should be run in my opinion. Not going how good and bad our recruitment has been this season cos we done it before and before, so isn't really going to get anywhere is it? 🙄
  17. James Anderson isn't in the squad for tomorrow game.
  18. Looking forward to another PL darts night. Hopefully Luke Littler will win.
  19. We sent £15m on 3 strikers in a 12 month period. When we signed Gallagher is the summer we need defenders but Mowbray was a big Gallagher fan and wanted him back here. A good DoF(which we didn't have one) or a board of directors would have asked why and blocked that move, instead Mowbray got what he wanted. This is why I prefer the head coach/DoF structure where the head coach only gets involves in the final stage when picking the final target and not before present a shortlist of targets from our recruitment department and DoF.
  20. that was Gestede said during his interview with Elliott Jackson
  21. The Footballing authorities or Government authorities aren't going to do anything as far as they are concern they are running the club right, proper and fit. They aren't saddling the club with debt. The EFL won't do anything. I think that Glen and Herbie points here We would all more engaged with the supporters, probably appoint different people to key roles and have a different ST plan, commercial plan and be open and better communication with the supporters base if we were owner of BRFC.
  22. Blackburn Rovers, QPR interested in Polish striker Oskar Zawada Blackburn plotting hijack to sign Premier League gem in hectic 3-club race Adam Berry - Player profile 24/25 | Transfermarkt
  23. Have I said otherwise? Why would I changed my mind based on the second half and forget the 1st half. Bizarre question to be frank given I didn't mention Ismael in my post see above for your question on Clarity. But the question is utter bizarre from both of you 2. I enjoyed the second half performance and we actually scored 2 goals and better performance then previous games under games but that doesn't over shadowed the first half lack of performance. I hope Ismael proves me wrong and we start winning games
  24. Its all about who we target and I haven't thought who I would target or we should target. I think we will look at the French, German and Belgium markets for a few signings.
