  1. Brewster's best spell came when at Swansea and maybe a change of clubs would help him get back to his best and I think Eustace will bring the best out of him.
  2. no u-turn at all but I have said we should spend money this window. Mentioned Riis, BTA, Brewster names previously. Our season will be determine by the quality of striker we sign this window. Nothing us. Sign a quality striker we will be challenge for playoffs and I think get them. Don't and take a punt on a striker like the striker from Scotland and our playoffs hope goes Wilder knows what he needs and he has the money now to do so. Just like we have money to spend some on a good striker and winger young Chaddy? We haven't signed anyone yet in terms of striker but going for a striker from Scotland, who isn't exactly scoring loads there, doesn't scream playoff challenge push does it?
  3. Riis is out of contract in 5 months time, would he really cost so much? Also we have received 30m plus in the last 12 months and we spend around £2.5m in the summer. We not spend £5m plus in the window on 2 or 3 players who could impact our season and playoffs chances this season but also be starters for next season and beyond(question to the club not yourself btw)
  4. The club should be investing some of the money we received on players that will help us get a playoff place and hopefully promotion, not looking for players who could be gems in the future. I don't mind taking a gamble on one of them but we need a striker who will provide us with those crucial games when we need them and someone like BTA would do this or even Riis would be decent enough. even RF99 suggestion of Luton's forward Jacob Brown would be good shout.
  5. Jackson on his podcast explained that he has no contact from Waggott or Gestede or other club management figures apart from John Eustace and the media team/press officer in his team covering Rovers and Rovers only released that statement to BBC Lancashire and not him. I think people are far too harsh on Elliott Jackson and tbh Andy Bayes, cos the club doesn't help them by actually communicating with them and doing some interviews where Jackson and Bayes. That's how the club should be doing it. Nothing wrong with using club communication channels but we should be using local media aswell If that the best striker they can come up with after knowing what Eustace and Rovers needed for months then its simple not good enough. We need a striker who can make an impact straight away and why aren't/haven't we been over signing Ipswich striker Ali Al-Hamadi who Elliott Jackson on his podcast mentioned and asking why are Rovers going for hm. I would add why aren't Rovers looking at strikers like Riis or Brewster or if Brandon Thomas-Asante was our first choice then spend some of the money we have receive over the last 12 months on players. Similar with left winger signings. We are making/taking low risks and spending low fee on these players. This isn't a dig on those 2 players and I hope if we do sign them they are success here but Rovers should be spending money in this window of £5m plus and bring in championship quality players in this window not taking gambles
  6. Changed my team cos after thinking I want Travis off the bench for 20/30 mins and then ready for Preston at home in a week today. Pears Sanderson Litherland Hyam Beck Dolan Buckley Forshaw Hedges Weimann Gueye
  7. Don't agree here. It's about what they do here. Gestede wasn't playing at Cardiff, moved here and score plenty of goals. Riis has 7 goals this season. Robinson has 10 goals this season Scarlett has 4 Championship goals this season BTW but he is young and not what I think we need. We don't know how many they will score until they play here Yes risk vs reward question here. I prefer a striker who can make an impact straight away How do you fit into your 25 man squad registration when we couldn't only have 3 spots without Sigurdsson in it?
  8. Fair points but also if the team is set up for them you will score more goals. I think BTA is more than capable of scoring 15 goals a season at this level and if he was/is our number 1 target, go and get it done But if the head coach wants that and you keep saying let's head coach decides who we sign then which one is it. Give the head coach what he wants or ignore him? But he has the pace from the video I've watched 13 mins. From the links in the media, it's appears Championship experience is what we want. If we have switch to Kargbo then that's suggests we cant bring in what Eustace for whatever reasons. I would personally gone for Tyler Goodham from Oxford. He impressed me alot against us at Ewood.
  9. Of course I would always signings in early as we all like but January transfer window is crap tbh..most major transfers later until you have money to buy quality. Hindsight is wonderful thing but we knew before January what we wanted which were quality striker and wideman with pace. That's hasn't changed. I'm surprised we haven't brought in that wide man but give Wallace and Schlupp arent coming now. Hence why we move on Kargbo now. Quality striker is always going to the problem in January, unless you spend 5-10 million pounds on one. I think Eustace will want Bamford in if we get Kargbo in. Tho if Bamford doesn't happen then I expect Danns or Scarlett in on loan, or even low fee striker signing like Callum Robinson or Emil Riis No, not at the stage. After weekend, the transfer chaos will start. When I mentioned BBD and Szmodics was in context of them improving massively their goal record whilst here Young chaddy? 😂😂😂
  10. A header shot on target. Another header off target.
  11. You mean like BBD and Szmodics did? Haven't we done that with signings like Kaminski, Ohashi, Gueye over last few years. We need a mixed approach to our signings given our budget
  12. Technically yes but we all know that He runs the club let's get open and honest See below quote. Yes that's was the rumour on here..
  13. Exactly what you expect from mid table championship team with transfer spend over last 3 years. 6 or 7 key players, a few of first team regulars, then squad players with different quality. Are you 22 quality players so when you lose one key player you replace him with similar quality?. Defended a lot Forshaw? He only just arrived 2 weeks ago Forshaw was ok. Nothing special but I'm not expect to be so. Hedges provided our width from the left. Did ok. Yes. Like I said previously our top 6 chances despond on the quality of the striker signing.
  14. Posted my opinions at half time and full time. Before Eustace's comments
  15. He was appointed as Rovers Chief Operations Officer. He runs the show now officially at Rovers. If Waggott does leave would we even replace him or just promote Gestede to Waggott role?
  16. McBurnie is the type of striker we need.
  17. Well Eustace's comments are it was good performance and we shouldn't have lost. Take it you disagree?
  18. Small squad of 23 players roughly? It's fairly that your squad players will not the same quality as first team regulars or key players. Thought keeper made 2 good saves from him plus Batth's shot first half
  19. We now on 14 players out injury or ill. Of course the squad has been hit with 14 injuries but my worry is the amount of muscle injuries You say lack of quality on show throughout, yet we were better team tonight and created some great chances.. Gueye is improving week on week, pleased for him and the work he is putting in
  20. We created some good chances first and second half, got down the wings and created things from open play. Gueye was very good, winning headers, overall play improving, had a few good chances, need to cross the ball more for him. Hit with 3 more injuries. Coventry didn't play us the park all this quality they have. More worried about the team we have on Saturday against Bristol City
  21. Played well, created some good chances, shouldn't be lost this game.. Gueye our best player tonight. Injuries to Batth, Brittain and JRC not helpful at all tonight.
  22. Not a game we should be losing at half. Much better team, creating the best chances so far. Need to keep attacking down the wings. That's where the space is. Keep doing it. Gueye done well. COYB! Eustace's Blue and White Army 🔵 ⚪️!!!
  23. Nixon says Coventry haven't reject or accept our offer for him On his patreon when answering questions
  24. The quality of the striker will determine our season. If we dont get that quality in we wont get the playoffs. It's will be interesting to see if Thomas-Asante plays tonight or whether we agreed a deal for him.
