  1. well, blueboy will be there aswell. i fly back to australia on wednesday.....so will be making my way to the charles dickens.....for those folks that have not been there before, be careful though cause you might miss it as it is situated in a basement. uncle dave - it serves great meals and top quality ale and lager....just hope they serve tooheys new, otherwise sr is bringing a crate for me. i will bring my rovers flag that i took to south africa and we can have a picture taken and send it in to rovers for it to be printed into a matchday programme. btw....SR, where are you staying?
  2. i would be more than happy with a point..... and considering that we are playing arsenal, man urinal and liverpool in the next few weeks......a point at everton would be acceptable.
  3. so do i mate, cause the moment he starts to slip with regard to his performances...he'll get slagged from pillar to post on this board....from some members. he has been brilliant for us and whoever reccommended him to us give that man a medal or pay rise.
  4. frosty but where they effing and blinding like most other rovers fans last night?? my pals got kicked out of that stand because they would sing and shout every home game...... rovers 2-1burnley.........
  5. what makes this result even more sweeter and FUNNIER....is that we scored off a deflected goal and awful goalkeeping/brilliant strike from morten.....giving the dingles even more reason to whine about how close they were to beating us....
  6. this will be a cracking atmosphere...and can't wait.
  7. the ticket office number is an 0870 number is is not!!!! that answers your theries on why there are no queues, even when they tell you that you are in position number 30.... does anybody know how the selling is going...with regard to the amount of tickets that maybe left?
  8. joey...canterbury is also a suburb in sydney aswell as a city in new zealand.
  9. i only support one footy team and that is rovers ( apart from internationally, england). but in other sports : Dallas Cowboys - NFL Dallas Stars - NHL Geelong football club - Aussie rules Melbourne Storm - Australian Rugby Leage Canterbury Crusaders - Rugby Union new zealand
  10. a victory for rovers would be rather nice.....but, i would also not mind a draw, then at least i get to see rovers v burnley as my last match:)
  11. looks like a change of formation in the second half might be what we need....well, we at least need to try something. 4 at the back with mokoena infront of the back four with 3 across the middle and 2 blokes up front......
  12. sr.....what's happening dude?? pain in the bum, but i guess i am gonna have to pay for the priviledge when i get back. btw....mail me about the road trip!! sorry, for what it is worth i think we can get a 1-1 draw!
  13. regardless of wether or not this game appears on tv....it will be a complete sell out. so if you wish to save your car from being completely burnt out...watch from home. really looking forward to this game....and really hope that we can get a win.
  14. a draw for us would be a great result......and only a totally destruction of their side will get us anywhere near a win......come on rovers!!!!
  15. i said on another thread a few weeks ago now that diouf (in no un-certain terms) was an absolute disgrace to pro-football. on this occasion, not only did he blatently cheat his way to a penalty (according to terry payne on south african sports tv last night) but he also could have incited a riot with his arrogance and goading of the fans. probably a really good thing that sam subbed him straight away. surely to goodness the fa....have simply got to step in and not only give him another warning, but this epsiode last night will hopefully make them think again about using tv as a way of ruling on things like this. i aint saying to stop the game but from all the angles that a second ref could see from the tv monitors in the tunnel he could say yeah or nay...in this instance. it would not surprise me that although the bolton players might think he is one of their best players....they might be getting sick and tired with him bringing a bad name to fellow proffessionals. as i said to my friends here in south africa last night...."i can handle being beaten, if we have simply been outclassed and outplayed but what happened last night is simply not acceptable"....not just as a rovers fan, but as a football fan in general.
  16. in my own humble opinion, i think the manager need to except responsibility. it is he who ultimately has the final say in everything that the players do. and they are only reacting to how their manager approaches his job and how he handles his staff.
  17. I am and always will be a big fan of barry ferguson. However......my view on the whole thing now is probably what a lot of people think and that is "sell the guy and get rid of him" cause he know longer wants to play for us. a real pity cause with the signing of savage who i would think would sit infront of the back four thus allowing fergy to play better football.....oh well!!!!
  18. all of you ferguson knockers.......i am sat here laughing myself silly. it sounds for all money that you lot want the guy to put in 100 tackles every ###### match, score a double hat-trick, save 3 penalties.....and do some singing aswell....."IF THE GUY HAS NOT LIVED UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS, THEN THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM", therefore it is only you lot kncoking his performance when he does not do the fore mentioned.....most rovers fans will be quite happy with him and see his importance and value to this football club.
  19. i would love for fergy to stay cause first and foremost he is our player, captain and a very good player at that. he does not make himself that noticed in most games, but that is good enough for me as i have always believed that he goes about his job quietly and efficiently.......i am very happy with the way he plays.
  20. JAN/UNCLE ALAN75 it aint about deciding wether or not to go because of the type of footy that we have been playing, it is all about following your team, regardless of who is in charge and regardless of how good or bad the football is. i ahve come off ewood sometimes and thought that we have played absolutely awful....but been the first to get a ticket for the next home match. i myself could not care less, jkust how bad the football has been.....premiership to the conference and doctor martins league....as long as i have breath in my lungs and as long as i am alive, then i'll always be following blackburn rovers.
  21. yesterday was the most dire and boring game i have seen at ewood park for a long time. both teams looked very tired, thus the constant showing of not being mentally prepared for this match. mistakes abound in both teams....normally after a win at ewood park for rovers, i walk away fully enthused, but could not find anything (other than a win) to get excited about.
  22. our very own british government need to look after there own people before helping those refugees as bp talks about.......aswell as those less fortunate in 3rd world countrys.
  23. paul agree with you. however, the respective governments of these countrys should start bringing their own people out of abject poverty and give them a higher class of living before people start crying out for help from the west....
  24. at the moment there is no need to make wholesale changes to the playing staff. maybe a few blokes leaving and one or two coming in is all we need. main reason is because the players are proving to themselves and all of their doubters that they do have the ability to play good football. maybe what we need is players that will compliment what we already have.
  25. i believe that matteo is doing well, aswell. but then again ever since souey left a n umber of players have done very welll and are continuing to do so. nissa, steven reid, brett emerton etc etc are all playing some very good football at the moment and have been ever since souey left. the reason for their turn infortunes IMO....is because the football they are playing now is why they where attracted to souness in the first place, but when he signed them, did not allow the lads to play that way.
