  1. The software changed & the records were set up in a format/version that was no longer supported. Essentially it needs a complete re-write. It’s on our list of things to do but it’s a big piece of work.
  2. I’ve just bought a season ticket for my local cinema…23 films for £400 over the next ten months. Only thing is, the screening times can change at short notice making attendance planning quite challenging & I doubt I can make all 23. It also turns out that 15 of the advertised films to be shown will also be broadcast simultaneously on SkyCinema…that seems a bit strange but apparently all the movie chains are doing it now. Still, it’s a grand old local institution & I do like to support it. But, frankly the facilities aren’t what they used to be and many of my friends that used to go with me have lost interest so it’s not the community event it once was. They still sell all the usual stuff in the foyer but quite often there is a queue during the interval so there isn’t always time to get popcorn, a drink, go to the loo & get back to my seat in good time. It’s not the end of the world, but at the prices they charge you’d think they’d be better organised. The manager of the place quit recently after a disagreement about future strategy & they’ve brought in a bloke from France to take over. He got off to a dodgy start by showing a few arthouse French language films without even any sub-titles but he redeemed himself by showing a series of Marvel classics last month which won over many of the patrons. We are promised some more Hollywood blockbusters apparently in this next run so that will be nice but I must admit to feeling a little concerned to hear that the local film school has been engaged to produce movies…untried youngsters making their way in the industry…I mean it might work but how many George Lucases or Steven Spielbergs do you get in Blackburn? I’ll let you all know how it unfolds…👀
  3. Last night was the death of Pepball IMO. PSG are so energetic, vibrant, fast, direct…no endless passing from side to side, just go straight for the jugular. I loved it & delighted for Luis Enrique. Delightful tifo after the game as well…
  4. I’d DEFINITELY take the Burnley CEO gig…😉
  5. Here’s the podcast link… Still to this day one of our most popular episodes…

  7. Oh this is a joy…great cameos from Don Martin & Tony Parkes 🤍💙
  8. Boycotting would give the club an excuse to downplay its importance…go, ask the awkward Q’s, keep shining a bright light into dark corners… …just don’t get sidetracked by the trivia of what flavour pies will be trialled next season 😉

  17. BRFCS has been asked to nominate a representative who can interact with The Coalition on a day to day, detailed basis, to represent the views of the Forum - in much the same way an MP represents the views of their constituents in parliament. Given that he already represents BRFCS on the Fans Forum in a similar role, we believe that @K-Hod would make an ideal candidate to undertake this role and he can use his experiences to inform his participation in each. We are delighted to advise that @K-Hod is ready & willing to take on this role & in a spirit of transparency we ask you to endorse his appointment as your representative via this poll. In this thread @K-Hod can then update folks (as long as it doesn’t undermine any of the proposed actions from The Coalition of course…) & you can ask questions of him so that everyone is as up to speed as possible with what is going on. Thanks all…
