Totally agree with you. Combative and nasty? Yes. Positionally sound and creative? No. I think he has flattered over his time so far because he isn't afraid to put a foot in and gets about the pitch but, for me, there's not much else to talk about.

As was Mowbray when we appointed him. I don't recall one person on here touting him for the job prior to his appointment yet chaddy is rewriting history as if it was some sort of coup to get him.

And therein lies the paradox of those who support Mowbray. The argument against replacing him is that we may only go back to a certain agency to replace him, the same agency that gave us Tony Mowbray.

After listening to him babble on about adapting to a new approach he's now looking to change? So another 6-12 month transition period? What a bellend. Had to laugh at the Stoke article talking of the value of their loan players. Yes Tony, the same loan players you could be targeting. Then he mentions an 'international manager' being in charge - Jesus Christ.... Not a chance he's walking, the guy is in full on self preservation mode.

I was there in those years, as you were Gav, and, in spite of us being completely skint, we competed at the right end of the table more often than not and had managers who talked us up rather than down. Add that to players and management that patently cared and the comparison between back then and now is like night and day.

The Facebook lot are just happy we aren't Bury, Bolton or Wigan because of our 'fantastic' owners. It's completely lost on them that this mid table inertia and spiralling debt year on year means that, in time, we will be. Maybe then they'll look back fondly on the 'stagnation years' while walking round the new Aldi sited on what once was Ewood Park.
