  1. I said at the time that was one of the worst passages of play I'd ever seen.
  2. We're toothless and it's going to keep hurting us. The 2 lads up front just don't look good enough.
  3. Can't understand why West Brom didn't play Johnston from the get go. Top player who gave us a hard time in the 10 minutes he was on the pitch, I think the result would've been different if he'd started.
  4. Cantwell is so far ahead of his team mates quality wise it's frightening. West Brom targeting Beck and getting a lot of joy. The lad needs to tighten up defensively tonight.
  5. Worrying for us if Carter is out for some time.
  6. Dolan must be a favourite of the manager because if he's not getting dropped after his dreadful 'showing' at Plymouth he's never getting dropped. Same goes for Hedges.
  7. Agreed. He's aggressive and tight to his opponent at all times stopping them turning and pushing them back towards their own goal. Contrast that with Brittain who gives 5-10 yards every time and is half arsed at best in trying to stop balls into the box.
  8. Good result but a tough watch with very little quality on show apart from the odd touch of class from Cantwell. Still, we're racking the points up so long may it continue.
  9. I also think that last 5 minutes from Dolan before getting hooked was possibly the worst I've ever seen a pro footballer play. Must've given the ball away 5 consecutive times in good positions before a needless booking. He was absolutely abysmal yesterday and would struggle in a pub league on that showing.
  10. Although I and others have rightly questioned the tactical plan the biggest thing the manager should be criticised for is the lack of a reaction to Tuesday's display. For me it was a prerequisite that we were at it from the get go but we were anything but that.
  11. Yes, this is really poor stuff from the manager. Turning up to a game to 'stay in it' just gives the initiative to the opposition and leaves you one mistake away from throwing Plan A out the window.
  12. Stayed in the Crowne Plaza down here as did the players and coaching staff. Eustace spent most of his time on his laptop (assuming he was watching Plymouth games) so said to him 'you seen any weaknesses to exploit, gaffer' to which he responded 'too many to mention'. I didn't realise at the time he was referring to us.
  13. Going for the weekend with the family for this so even if the game is shite (which I fully expect it to be) at least I can dull the pain with a night at the barbican.
  14. Agreed. It's a free hit for him this to express himself and make a statement yet he's actually managed to make us look worse.
  15. Agreed. I'd have the Hungarian lad in at Plymouth.
  16. Okay, the Norwegian lad has been pretty ineffective too. Or are you inferring the R word I wonder.....
  17. A lot of shit on that pitch tonight but it has to be said the Japanese lad has dropped off alarmingly.
  18. Imagine running 50 yards in the wrong direction with the ball and then playing the archetypal hospital pass to your centre half at the end of it. Absolutely brainless.
  19. Pickering really is poor. A slick surface really tests the fundamentals of a footballer in first touch, anticipation and passing. Most of our players are lacking in all those departments.
  20. Hope you're right. Personally I think their legs are going and it will leave us vulnerable.
  21. Cantwell was great today and he gives us what we have lacked since Wharton's departure - a midfielder happy to take the ball in tight areas. Good times at the minute but I do worry if we get an injury to Hyam or Carter as the strength in reserve at CH isn't good at all.
