I’ve worked in Liverpool on two occasions over the years, and my colleagues were nearly all Everton fans.

That is amazing from Hartley. I’ve seen a lot of him for Lancs and, got to be honest, I didn’t think he had that in him. He does have a very good temperament, and no doubt that helped his recovery in this game. Thought we were looking at another one cap wonder, to add to Kerrigan and Parkinson. No chance of that now 🙂

JDT might give a nod of approval, but that is a world away from the traditional managerial role of deciding who to buy and who to sell. I think team selections often illustrate how JDT views some of our incomings.

It's clear that many people can't distinguish between a manager and a head coach, and see JDT as the former.
