  1. Yes, plenty of people not prepared to pay to watch a non results based football club, in the hands of leeches and parasites.
  2. Who knows whether or not Mowbray had any involvement in the proposed training ground sell off, (although it wouldn't surprise me). All I know is that for several months he has portrayed an "up yours" attitude to the supporters, with his ridiculous and provocative quotes. At no other club would he have survived, which is evidence he is virtually untouchable and holds far too much power and control. John Park might be a decent acquisition, but I totally understand the negativity and cynicism regarding his appointment, given his links with Mowbray and Venus. Just gives the impression of another one on the gravy train. I anticipate a very tough season ahead, obviously more so if Armstrong leaves. The club has all the hallmarks of potential relegation fodder.
  3. Let’s be honest, Armstrong was never going to be involved today. Yes, he’s been training, but that’s far more low risk than playing, and a level of fitness is also obviously in the interests of any potential new club. I expect the likes of Johnson and Ayala to be enjoying the sanctuary of the physio department at regular intervals throughout the season. Good work, if you can get it.
  4. Tony can't even be bothered to think of an injury. The scene is set for a season of "senior players" enjoying time off, as we embark on our journey up sh*t creek.
  5. Shall we have a sweep on what imaginary injury he has? 😉
  6. Oh no they won’t. Still useless on a slightly lower wage.
  7. Easy money. Just get behind the none results based lads FFS 😉
  8. Another illustration that the people officially running the show are subservient to the advisers. The manager has more clout than the executives at Venky Rovers.
  9. Agree re - the accounts, but wasn't it Cheston who had successfully conducted negotiations with Warnock, only to be over-ruled and undermined when he went off on holiday? I suspect he was simply towing the line with his "outstanding candidate" claim with reference to Coyle.
  10. (v)exercise outdoors, provided that the exercise— (i)is not organised, and (ii)starts and ends at the same place, which place must be— (aa)in the local government area in which the person lives, or (bb)within 5 miles of such local government area, (w)where the person is a professional sportsperson, or the coach of a professional sportsperson, coach, train or compete, Covered twice - (w) and (v)(i) ;)
  11. Sounds a bit like Paul McKinnon, (from around a decade later). Anyway, not to worry about Wyke making the step up, as we will likely be making the step down in the not too distant future.
  12. Whilst I totally understand your reasons / logic for continuing to attend, and have no issue with people who are making that choice, let's be absolutely clear that blame for dwindling crowds lies solely at the owners' door after a decade of destruction. If they, or other people, cannot see the connection, they are in denial, (or just thick). Our hopeless, so called CEO is blatantly going through the motions with the season ticket 'campaign'. That really says it all.
  13. I know he's probably got a sizeable one, but I doubt it stretches from Pune to Langho ;)
  14. What we need is some footage of him kissing someone at Brockhall.
  15. Mowbray is stealing a living, and he knows it. Ditto Waggott.
  16. And Sharpe just gives him a free pass. I swear he could say that black is white and it would go unchallenged. The absolute nerve of Mowbray to still be spouting the same old crap. I guess the Facebook cult will still swallow it whole.
  17. I agree with @1864roverite. It goes much deeper than squad strength. There are so many factors determining that the club is heading on a downward course. It badly needs someone to arrest the decline, and I don't mean Waggott or Mowbray.
  18. Good for him. Saint Tony's halo just slipped a little further. Maybe Mrs M needed the car and Stewart was handy for a lift.
  19. Waggott came in full of talk and big ideas. He’s now almost as invisible as the two Venkys advisers who pull the strings. It’s sickening that he’s in a senior position at the club and epitomises that it’s currently rotten to the core.
  20. No problem with people choosing to attend, but this is not really Blackburn Rovers for me and ,clearly, the issues go much deeper than the manager. It’s a parasite riddled corpse which I cannot support. I would rather not attend at all than be there in the wrong spirit. I understand the logic of people saying go along and give the manager grief, or go along and cheer the lads, but the reality will be a three quarters empty ground where the only noise will be coming from the away end. I sincerely hope to be back one day if / when the parasites are smoked out and right minded people are running the club again, even if we are not successful on the pitch. Anyway, I don’t want to over egg the pudding, so will now shut up. I still like visiting the message board to have a gander and will continue to do so.
  21. It’s not so much of a boycott for me. It’s more that I’ve just come to the point where I feel so alienated that I have little or no emotional attachment to the club anymore, (which is something I never imagined could happen), and I actively do not want to attend games, particularly at Ewood Park.
  22. I also respect your position and opinion and if people still choose to attend, that’s fine. I think we need to differentiate between “success” and likelihood. I believe such a move, (restructuring to a tried and tested model of a competent CEO running the show), would at least have a chance of being successful. Will the owners suddenly realise this and implement such a change? Highly unlikely. Whilst the structure and personnel we have in place now are a slight improvement on the Coyle / Senior era, it is still a set up for continuing failure, and mid table Championship will be the bar. The manager has often spoken of development and growth of the team, but here we are on the cliff edge, yet again. He has failed to deliver and any change of division now is likely to be in a downward direction. The manager has to take a good part of the responsibility for this and we can’t blame his ridiculous comments on the owners, (other than he should already have been sacked before he made them). Realistically, we are way past the point of “just get behind the lads”. You are simply not going to fill a stadium of clapping / cheering fans under these circumstances. The owners and club hierarchy have to take the lead in setting their stall up properly, (not too much to ask), and give the supporters a belief that success is attainable. That is the only way current gloom will be lifted. I have no problem at all not wasting money by propping up a regime that will never be good for Blackburn Rovers. Hopefully, one day there will be a change of ownership and we can all unite in our support of the club again.
  23. You need an explanation? Really? Okay, (and I've already posted it several times), but for Mowbray not to be sacked after another terrible run of form, compounded by his ridiculous comments towards the end of last season was the final straw. How can the manager of a professional football club survive after stating, on the record, that he doesn't care about the league table? He also berates fans for daring to have a modicum of ambition, ("It's not 1995"). Absolutely pathetic conduct. If Waggott is a suitable person to be Chief Executive, I'm a banana. Whilst some people ,(an ever decreasing minority), will choose to go come what may, I have just gone past that point now. In terms of the financial situation, I feel no responsibility to keep giving money to a club being run by people who can afford to do better if they so choose. Appoint a competent chief executive and let them run the show, instead of this crazy set up we have, with invisible, ignorant advisers pulling the strings. If the worst comes to the worst, I would be there supporting a phoenix club in the future.
  24. Spot on. I now feel alienated to a degree where I strongly feel I do not want to give the club any more money or attend home matches, as I would not feel comfortable being at the ground. I am very sad that it has come to this, but unfortunately it has. As a minimum requirement to change my feelings, Waggott and Mowbray would have to go. On a separate note, whilst we may not be amongst the bookies favourites for relegation next season, I think some people need to wake up and smell the mustard. I think we are in big trouble and can see Armstrong being sold for a cut down price just to balance the books.
  25. I will go further and say that it's a disgrace that he wasn't sacked after making ridiculous comments towards the end of last season. Mowbray and Waggott are laughing at the supporters, so there is no chance I am giving the club another penny under this regime.
