  1. It didn’t look right, but the ref clearly saw nothing wrong and, presumably, the asst referee didn’t flag. The ref bottled it.
  2. 😂 How typical would that have been . The Brazil side of 1970 nearly went behind there.
  3. Agreed, that is a more realistic take on it. I’m just waiting for someone to post that Chris Brown would’ve got a Hattrick against these.
  4. How many times have we witnessed this? On top, but can’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo. Chances are that Robbins will have Cov fired up for the second half, and the usual pattern will continue.
  5. That has an eerily familiar ring to it
  6. Against more modest opposition here, so we have half a chèvre. Trouble is, we still look bereft of goal threat. Even Sammie seems to have caught the disease.
  7. Pity, I was hoping you’d called him a fat idiot 😂
  8. You touched a nerve there 😂 What did you say to him that could be construed as “personal”?
  9. I think JDT’s agent will be looking at realistic alternatives. I don’t think JDT will be anywhere near the top of Rangers wish list, and I certainly can’t see a Premier League club coming in for him. His brand is clearly now being damaged, which is why I can see him bailing out with a few more defeats.
  10. I’m sure his agent will be calling them.
  11. No argument, but the shirt sponsor epitomises the total lack of respect for the club by it’s current custodians. It’s sickening.
  12. A professional sports club should not be advertising and promoting a nicotine based product. Yes, there is an upside to vaping if it helps to wean people away from smoking. However, and let's not try to pretend otherwise, Totally Wicked are promoting their product via Rovers in order to encourage as many people as possible to buy their product, regardless of their age or circumstances The only reason they are our sponsors is that we have a (so called) Chief Executive who has no moral compass.
  13. Agreed. There will be a tipping point, and it may not be far away.
  14. Hope they’re all taking their medication on the optimism thread, because they’re going to need it. We need a couple of results, quickly, or the die will be cast for the season. @J*B has pretty much nailed it for me. This isn’t going to end well.
  15. Agreed on nearly everything you’ve said. My one bone of contention is re - Stuart Law. He was a disaster at Middlesex, and I’m pretty sure he was also fired by an Aussie team. I was sat next to Ethan Bamber’s Dad during the Middlesex game, and “disaster” was the exact word he used to describe Law’s tenure. Good players don’t always make good coaches. I don’t even think Chapple is the main problem. Chilton is the problem, as is the obvious lack of ambition (or focus on cricket) of the hierarchy.
  16. Glen Chapple quits as Lancs Head Coach. Time for an ambitious, outside appointment to shake things up. Alas, more likely to be one of Vilas, Croft or Onions, ie a continuation of jobs for the boys.
  17. Great for the players involved, and essentially a free hit. However, not great for the majority of supporters, (travel, midweek, cost and unlikely to be televised). I suspect that Pochettino will be making some progress by then and Chelsea, without the interference of European football, will probably play the strongest side possible. There are only three trophies they can target this season, and this one constitutes their most realistic chance.
  18. Would’ve been a good draw had we come out first. Almost certainly won’t be televised and they will undoubtedly take it seriously with no European football.
  19. Score prediction , 6 - 5, not sure who to.
  20. Penny pinching and power. He certainly didn’t do it because he thought it would rain .That is a classic 😂
  21. It’s partly self inflicted, egs Gallagher and Ennis who both have a poor injury record but, yes, it’s looking a bit ominous. I don’t rate Gallagher but, such is our lack of squad depth, he’s a very important player for us, and I feared the worst when we heard the extent of his lay-off.
  22. What a classless buffoon.
  23. Perhaps under a more favourable set of circumstances JDT would have a chance of getting us promoted. He’s been given a bum deal by our owners and this is not going to end well. Unless JDT adopts a more pragmatic approach and cuts his cloth accordingly, we could be in for the sort of slump normally experienced in the New Year.
  24. So glad to see Jim is on the ball with this thread 🙂 The optimism thread will soon be like a stand closed down by Waggott. All pointing to a very long, hard season and we certainly don’t have the right sort of players for a relegation scrap. A very poor transfer window coming home to roost.
  25. I think you’ve supported my argument more than your own, though I will grant you Brittain was an exception. For professional footballers taking unchallenged shots, the ratio that ended up in the net was very low.
