  1. They probably know he's off, but keeping it quiet to protect season ticket sales 😉
  2. Leeds shortlist 'next Bielsa' who's stayed under the radar - Sources (footballinsider247.com)
  3. Great start for Lancs. The international schedule really helps us for this T20 campaign. Even the lesser spotted Buttler is slated on to play ten games. It’s a miracle.
  4. That’s what I thought so I checked and that price list isn’t up to date. Even the current prices aren’t bad, though.
  5. Agreed, and we never win at Luton (that cup game excepted).
  6. I thought JDT wasn’t going because he doesn’t like the heat. Have to get used to that if he’s helping at Mrs T’s chippy 😉
  7. Either that or they will view it as an opportunity to save on the wage bill for a few months.
  8. Realistically, that how a young, up and coming manager will view us. The only time that wasn’t the case was under Jack Walker. What you have to hope is that said manager achieves tangible success, eg promotion, en-route to a bigger club. Perhaps if we’d given JDT the tools to do the job in January we’d have kept him for a while longer. As others have said, if he’s going we need it to be quick to give us the opportunity of an early replacement, (if Broughton and chums get their act together).
  9. I never thought Rooney had the intelligence to make a decent manager, (rather like David Dunn). However, he had a baptism of fire at a car crash club, but actually showed some promise. The jury is out, in my opinion.
  10. Surely, Owen Coyle was the standout candidate? 😉 I hope you’re right re - Feyenoord and JDT. We will probably soon find out………
  11. His comments following the final match of the season were the giveaway, for me. ”I don’t want to speculate”, practically screamed that he’s seriously thinking of leaving. Who knows what’s going on behind the scenes or with his (new) agent.
  12. I mentioned yesterday that, when his name was being suggested a year ago, a Norwegian journalist claimed the two didn’t see eye to eye and barely spoke,
  13. He’s a name, which the owners will have heard of. That’s the worry. Obviously, we’re discussing a scenario which may not happen, but you would think that spin doctor Gregg will be kingmaker if we need a new Head Coach. That could well mean another left field appointment.
  14. I think he will be waiting for a Premier League club. Maybe if we had stacks of cash it would be different.
  15. I think his stats at Cardiff would be a major concern.
  16. Yes, several sources now stating the same. Ah well, ta da JDT, (probably).
  17. Feyenoord general manager Dennis te Kloese says he has turned down an approach to join Tottenham and expects the Dutch club's head coach Arne Slot to also resist interest from Spurs. (ESPN) A bit more hopeful.
  18. When his name came up a year ago I’m sure a Norwegian journalist pretty much said he wasn’t on good terms with Broughton at Bodo Glimt and they rarely spoke. I suspect Knutson has little time for bullshitters.
  19. Torpedo Kutaisi in Georgia. Lucky them.
  20. Perhaps not if a decent window had helped us attain Premier League football. Then the picture would look very different and there would be a good reason for JDT to stay.
  21. If the club had acted competently in January, maybe we wouldn’t be in a position where our head coach might leave. I don’t think it’s safe to assume anything with these owners, other than to expect repeated failure.
  22. Strewth, I think you'd be using the special code word at the bar if Gregg walked in 😉 "Sorry Nathan, we have to maintain an average age of 24.5 in the squad. Computer says, "no"."
  23. "No official contact". Wow, how re-assuring! Official contact would only be made when a deal has been all but done between the hiring club and the manager's agent. Gregg Broughton - there's a political party missing a spin doctor, somewhere.
  24. More speculation about Tottenham and Slot this morning.
  25. Exactly, and compare how Coventry finished the season to the way we did. We had the usual pathetic capitulation, until it was too late, (as usual).
