  1. Yes, winning games is no longer the club’s main objective, so there is very little chance of success, no matter who the manager / head coach is.
  2. Having so many youngsters doesn't help, but the result is the continuation of a theme in recent years. We consistently lose pressure games.
  3. and that is obviously a major factor in your thinking. I grew up just outside Preston and my first job was in the area, so I was in contact with plenty of PNE fans. Currently, I work in Blackpool, but there are still a good few Preston fans amongst my work colleagues. Not having a pop at you, personally, but the build up to games against Preston is always tiresome on here, with people posting, about how much they don't care about PNE, that it's their "cup final", (which is evidently untrue if you work with Blackpool and PNE fans), and that it's just another game. We all know that it's not our main derby, but it's a Lancashire derby all the same, and the attendance and atmosphere will reflect that. Who knows, maybe the Blackburn End will be cajoled into using a little more imagination than to spend most of the game chanting about Burnley,
  4. I’d love to see him back at Lancs. Fantastic attitude during his season with us. Turned out for a Championship match a couple of days after the Aussies had been knocked out of the 2019 World Cup. No chance any of our England players would’ve done the same.
  5. We would have to win them for him to stay. If he gets us in the Play Offs under these circumstances, (highly unlikely), there will be a queue of suitors.
  6. Which amounts to exactly the same as what I have said. We needed a sale and he was the player who attracted our asking price.
  7. Agreed, once a Premier League club came in, (albeit Luton), it would've been difficult to keep him, but the reason we waved it through without any resistance, (and we 've resisted a good few bids for players in recent seasons), is we needed the dough.
  8. Money, due to our "geopolitical" issues.
  9. I’m thankful there are some God - awful teams at the bottom end of the table.
  10. I guess he doesn't really have any choice, (other than to leave). Anyone who has any shred of optimism about our prospects either just doesn't get it or is deluded. Not for the first time, we have a Head Coach openly stating what our agenda is, and it isn't about the success of the team.
  11. He's now sounding like Bowyer and Mowbray. It's not JDT's fault, but I really am beginning to question why I bother going.
  12. F*ck the cup, we’re going to finish 14th, doo dah, doo dah.
  13. The finishing was in keeping with the rest of the performance - flat and lacklustre. We got what we deserved - nowt.
  14. No, which may not be a bad thing!
  15. The utter futility of it all. We’ll bounce around mid-table, (at best), and are more likely to see the squad further weakened, rather than strengthened, in January. Meanwhile , the “geopolitical issues”, as Mr La - Dee - Dah Gunner Broughton dubs them, are eating away at the foundations of the club. Oh, and let’s not forget shameless, grubby second hand car salesmen, Waggott, is still at the wheel.
  16. There’s no dressing it up, that was utterly dismal, and I think we were fortunate not to lose by more. Realistically, the current team / squad is midtable, at best, and we will lose at least as many as we win However, it was the lacklustre nature of the showing that really rankled. One eye on Wednesday, perhaps? (from the players, not the coaching staff)
  17. Yes, I think a picture is emerging as to who the better manager is between him and Rosenior. History repeating itself at Brum, with them replacing a low profile manager, who was doing well, with a big name. It backfired when Zola replaced Rowett, and this is heading the same way.
  18. Blimey, no last minute sickener and a mid-week away win! We do like a trip to the Den 🙂
  19. I know some keepers prefer to punch, but he takes it to the extreme. That will be costly, sooner or later.
  20. For now, at least 😉 Tonight’s match sponsor, Lurpak.
  21. I thought the guy made his point very succinctly 😂 (“You’re f*cking sh*t ref”)
  22. Certainly not in the Championship, at least.
  23. Oh well, at least we got the disappointment in early for a change.
  24. A point or three would be great. Not sure that Rowett going is a good thing for us. As we know, results often improve in the aftermath of a managerial departure. Anything other than our standard midweek away defeat, please.
