  1. Whilst King's injury record wasn't great, I too would be demotivated by being understudy to Chris Brown, with occasional starts out of position on the wing.
  2. They really are not, and that is obvious. It's about as genuine as "Dacky's personal message" to non renewing season ticket holders. A bit off toffee thrown for the benefit of the gullible. In this modern age, how about a video message? Now that would at least be genuine, if not necessarily sincere.
  3. Agreed. Surely no-one is naive enough to believe that Balaji Rao wrote that? Obviously Waggott's words, endorsed by Venkys.
  4. They’re still there? 😂
  5. Leeds fans get a discount if they order four pre-season games as a job lot, (£12.99 for all four).
  6. Wouldn’t be a surprise if Leeds fans have bought tickets for the home ends.
  7. Can you blame him? With everything that's going on it will be a miracle if we're not soon in trouble.
  8. I would happily take Bradford’s manager over ours. Must have something about you if you can get a minnow like Morecambe promoted.
  9. A different opinion on how to do things can be healthy, providing it's constructive and the manager and assistant are both competent, eg Clough and Taylor. Unfortunately, we have dumb and dumber.
  10. There’s always going to be a drop off after the loss of Premiership status, but look at the attendances from 1999 - 2001, and that will tell you the current disinterest is not just about divisional status. A lot of folk (myself included) could stomach being in the Championship, providing we were well run and competitive.
  11. Yes, plenty of people not prepared to pay to watch a non results based football club, in the hands of leeches and parasites.
  12. Who knows whether or not Mowbray had any involvement in the proposed training ground sell off, (although it wouldn't surprise me). All I know is that for several months he has portrayed an "up yours" attitude to the supporters, with his ridiculous and provocative quotes. At no other club would he have survived, which is evidence he is virtually untouchable and holds far too much power and control. John Park might be a decent acquisition, but I totally understand the negativity and cynicism regarding his appointment, given his links with Mowbray and Venus. Just gives the impression of another one on the gravy train. I anticipate a very tough season ahead, obviously more so if Armstrong leaves. The club has all the hallmarks of potential relegation fodder.
  13. Let’s be honest, Armstrong was never going to be involved today. Yes, he’s been training, but that’s far more low risk than playing, and a level of fitness is also obviously in the interests of any potential new club. I expect the likes of Johnson and Ayala to be enjoying the sanctuary of the physio department at regular intervals throughout the season. Good work, if you can get it.
  14. Tony can't even be bothered to think of an injury. The scene is set for a season of "senior players" enjoying time off, as we embark on our journey up sh*t creek.
  15. Shall we have a sweep on what imaginary injury he has? 😉
  16. Oh no they won’t. Still useless on a slightly lower wage.
  17. Easy money. Just get behind the none results based lads FFS 😉
  18. Another illustration that the people officially running the show are subservient to the advisers. The manager has more clout than the executives at Venky Rovers.
  19. Agree re - the accounts, but wasn't it Cheston who had successfully conducted negotiations with Warnock, only to be over-ruled and undermined when he went off on holiday? I suspect he was simply towing the line with his "outstanding candidate" claim with reference to Coyle.
  20. (v)exercise outdoors, provided that the exercise— (i)is not organised, and (ii)starts and ends at the same place, which place must be— (aa)in the local government area in which the person lives, or (bb)within 5 miles of such local government area, (w)where the person is a professional sportsperson, or the coach of a professional sportsperson, coach, train or compete, Covered twice - (w) and (v)(i) ;)
  21. Sounds a bit like Paul McKinnon, (from around a decade later). Anyway, not to worry about Wyke making the step up, as we will likely be making the step down in the not too distant future.
  22. Whilst I totally understand your reasons / logic for continuing to attend, and have no issue with people who are making that choice, let's be absolutely clear that blame for dwindling crowds lies solely at the owners' door after a decade of destruction. If they, or other people, cannot see the connection, they are in denial, (or just thick). Our hopeless, so called CEO is blatantly going through the motions with the season ticket 'campaign'. That really says it all.
  23. I know he's probably got a sizeable one, but I doubt it stretches from Pune to Langho ;)
  24. What we need is some footage of him kissing someone at Brockhall.
  25. Mowbray is stealing a living, and he knows it. Ditto Waggott.
