Yes, "Honourable Man" my ar*e" ! Mowbray has just ensured a toxic relationship with the fans.
-
He should concentrate on putting the cones out for Grayson. Might just be within his capabilities.

We will probably win, leading to the Facebook group having a whip round to start work on the statue.

Rovers v Watford Wed 24th Feb 19:45

Barnsley seem to be making a decent fist of it, and they can’t compete with us financially. I see that Chris Hughton chap’s doing alright. -
The guy who plays him is too busy with work as a TV extra just now.

Our best player now, following his injury? Let's hope Dack gets his mojo back as he builds up his fitness, but let's not kid ourselves, signing a two year contract extension does not necessarily mean he will stay. I'm sure the injury and recovery time played a part in his decision to sign a new contract, as it gives him protection for complications / loss of form etc. By signing the contract he can't lose either way. Well rewarded if he stays and still the possibility of an upwards move if he gets his fitness and form back. Obviously, it's also good for the club in terms of a fee if he leaves.

Currently lower in the league table, but I would swap managers in a heartbeat. Hughton will get them sorted. -
Mowbrays Successor

Again, it all comes back to their failure to appoint an empowered, competent chief executive, who would be capable of outside of the box thinking. -

Unfortunately, they have still not addressed the most important and basic issue, ie the need for a competent, fully functioning chief executive. Someone who is likely to make the right strategic decisions, eg a decent manager. If they could only see how important that is, the club might have a chance of progressing again. -
Barnsley v Rovers, Wed 17th Feb

If we wait until the end of the season, we can write next season off as well. There is no chance whatsoever we will finish in the top six. -

I think the tide has now irreversibly turned amongst the supporters, following that display and his post match comments. He will linger on, because of the ineptitude of the owners and a puppet Chief Executive, but the clock is definitely ticking now. -

Barnsley’s manager won’t have had anywhere near the backing that Mowbray has, and his team put us to shame. You would never have believed they had played two tough away games in the last six days. The lad who came on up front, Dike, showed the likes of Gallagher how a big, physical centre forward should play. Overall, that was an abject surrender. Mowbray has lost the dressing room and the supporters. Time for a change. -
To the contrary, I think the only chance of Nyambe staying, and possibly the others, is to change the manager. Ambitious players will not want to stay if Mowbray does.

Championship Season 2020 - 2021
martonrover replied to Hoochie Bloochie Mama's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Although he wouldn't be my first choice for Rovers, I do think that Hughes still has something to offer as a manager, and hopefully the break will have done him good. He's never managed in the Championship, so all his stats to date need to be viewed with that in mind. Managing a smaller club in the Premier League is a tough gig. Just ask Tony : one season = one relegation. -
Either called off or farcical conditions, which might be a leveller.

This season very much reminds me of Bowyer’s last full season, although this is not even as good. The following season the wheels started to come off, and I can see a similar outcome next season.
-
I think it’s time to put the fishing rod away, but under the right management we clearly have the facilities and resources to mount a Play Off push, at least. The manager himself has stated that we should be challenging this season. At some point the current water treading under Mowbray will start to falter, and we will regress. I think last week’s cup exit extinguished any hope of a little excitement during the remainder of the season. A cup run could at least have generated a little interest. It is clearly time for change.

With regards to the 80's, our current circumstances are totally different. Yes, we were poor back then, but we were owned and well run by people who were competent, in touch and who cared about the club. What's more, they often had the club punching above it's weight in the league table, something which we are currently incapable of. As we will discover once fans are allowed to attend again, for most people, coming to terms with the current predicament will mean doing something else on a Saturday afternoon.

SACK TONY NOW FOR GODS SAKE

Come on guys, have a bit of faith. 12th place is still up for grabs, and Tony can still increase the value of the squad. -

......because I believe that Hughton is a better manager than Mowbray and will sort it out. He has achieved the first objective of getting Forest out of the relegation zone. -

I would wager that Forest will be ahead of us this time next season. Boro already ahead of us, (and we could've had Warnock and are capable of attracting similar). Stoke already ahead of us. The problems at Bolton, Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland are more about off field issues. The problem is that if we don't twist within the next six months, it's almost certain that we will either continue to stagnate or go backwards. We badly need a spark to regenerate interest in the club. Without a change the matchday crowds are likely to be very poor when spectators are allowed to return. -
It will be of him sat hunched on the bench, picking his ear.

Agreed, but Brum's current slump is more alarming than ours, and they also have big injury problems. I just think this is the type of game we will continue to win, thus leading to the believers declaring, "We are only 'X' number of points from the Play Offs .Trust in Tony". -

Ainsworth would be my top choice. Performed miracles at Wycombe and his heart would obviously be in it. Has earned his chance at a bigger club.
