  1. Yes. I suggested for pre match entertainment Waggott and Pasha in the stocks, so we hurl rotten fruit at them. And to improve the matchday atmosphere, occasional visits by the owners so we could shout abuse at them.
  2. A thoughtful and extremely well written piece. As one of the same generation (only 60 years supporting in my case) I agree entirely with the sentiments put forward. Well said, Fred! Loved the T.S. Eliot quote.
  3. Yes, I did. The site did not recognise my password (I have not changed it since the last reset of the site). So I clicked on "forgot password" and was directed to another page, asked to input my email address, clicked on the link and was told that I would receive an email with a code. Did so, and lo and behold, No email appeared. Amateurish once again. Does anything at this club work properly or in a professional manner?
  4. The problem is that we do not have players capable of scoring (Sammie aside). The only player shooting yesterday was Ayari, everyone else prefers to pass sideways. Even when we were completely on top yesterday I never thought we would nick a goal. I don't doubt that JE had the ambition to score, he simply does not have the ammunition. If we survive this season, the owners will not sanction the signing of any experienced forwards. We'll be relying on Vale and Leonard next season, neither of whom are the next Simon Garner. After 60 years of supporting my club, I despair for the future under these incompetent fools. They are the worst owners in football, aided and abetted by the charlatans SW and Suhail.
  5. Haven't seen any comment from Waggott since the adjournment of the case. I thought he might have, especially after the LET article this week.
  6. Disappointed that Lowe and Benson will still be around. I presume that Eustace was told that he had to accept them as part of his coaching staff if he wanted the job. If Lowe is in the dugout tomorrow I hope he gets himself a decent haircut in the morning, as the cameras are likely to be on him and Johnson.
  7. Exactly the same for me. Trying to get my own seat, but gave it up after three attempts with different cards.
  8. An interesting theory, but if that is the case, what would this mysterious shadow owner stand to gain from running the club into the ground? Unless someone can enlighten me, I can't see this "someone else" gaining anything financially from seeing us tumble from the Premiership down (possibly) to League 1 or lower. I still believe that Venkys were duped by a certain agent into buying the club, and now have no idea how to extricate themselves without losing face in India. They have no interest in the club or its fortunes, they have not set foot in Ewood Park for 6 or 7 years and they do not appreciate the fact that owning a football club, particularly one with our history, is about more than just paying the bills. As a supporter for over 60 years, they have left me in a state of despair as to the future of my club. Going back to my original point, if the shadow owner gains nothing from owning us, then what do Venkys gain from owning us.?
  9. The fact that it is taking so long to make a decision suggests to me that perhaps the EFL are taking legal advice before deciding. The delay is ridiculous, and as others have said, it reflects badly on the EFL.
  10. I was at the game, though not on the league liner. I was living in London at the time and remember getting absolutely drenched on the way to the ground. My hair was as long as Hutchins's but I am now almost bald..Happy days!!
  11. Wayne Rooney would be my choice. He has worked wonders at Derby under very difficult circumstances, behaved with dignity throughout and brought through a good number of youth players. He has also instilles a fighting spirit in the squad. But for the points deduction, they would be comfortably mid table, and here he would be starting with a nucleus of better players. The chance to play under Rooney might also persuade players like Lenighan, Rothwell and Nyambe to stay at the club. His persona would attract better calibre players and I think that his appointment might appeal to Balaji's liking for celebreties. An ex ManUtd and England star should be right up his street. I can't see him staying at Derby if they go down, and I cannot see any premiership clubs wanting to take a punt-Everton maybe, but surely they will stick with Lampard unless they go down.
  12. This is the heart of the problem. It is quite obvious that the owners don't care, probably being satisfied with the club providing them with annual losses to set against their tax returns. They also seem to know nothing about football and how clubs are often the hub of their community. It has been said by many on this site previously that no other manager would have survived last season's abysmal run of two wins in 19; many managers would have been sacked after Rovers suffered the worst home defeat in their long history in November; TM has now created another unwanted record with just 3 goals in 2022; he continues to play Sam Gallagher as a winger (in my opinion he has ruined the lad's confidence); he plays other players out of position in the insane belief that he is a tactical genius, and last week he played the most left footed player on the books on the right wing. He moved heaven and earth to sign Ryan Hedges, but has yet to give him a start no doubt because he has yet to learn the way we play. My fear is that Venkys will simply renew TM's contract based on the fact that he made a profit on Armstrong and will no doubt make a profit on the sale of BBD. Having owners who have no interest in football is a desperate situation to be in and until they are gone we will not be able to reclaim our club. I accept that people will say "where would we be without them", but I just cannot see where proper footballing decisions are going to come from. Certainly not from Waggott or Suhail.
  13. Sam Burns scored twice for Scunthorpe tonight. Two goals in four minutes.
  14. Can't comment on the game, as all I saw was Gateway 504 error. A good win, nonetheless. The refund is all well and good, but an explanation would help to soften the blow from my Saturday being ruined. I wonder if the same will happen on Wednesday? makes me wary of paying in advance.
  15. I think I am capable of drafting a small claim, even though I retired three years ago!!
  16. I did manage to get a message which said "technical issues which we are trying to resolve. i have now been trying to log in for 30 minutes. This is F******* ridiculous. How does one claim a refund?
  17. After 60 years of supporting my beloved Rovers, I can say with all honesty that I have never, ever felt so much despair about the future of my club. As Parson has said on another thread, Mowbray is merely a symptom. Any responsible club owner would have sacked the manager during that long winless run last season; he should have been sacked last night straight after the game finished. Venkys quite clearly have no knowledge of how to run a football club. They appear to have no concept of how much the club means to the people of Blackburn (or they simply do not care). They will probably be unaware of last night's debacle because they will be celebrating Diwali. A message fron them, or from Suhail, that they are aware of the problems would at least show that they have an interest, but all we get is silence. I am sure that they treat the Rovers as a means of off setting losses against profits to save on taxes. As for Mowbray himself, I could hardly believe the fact that he failed to apologise to the fans for his own tactical ineptitude in not shutting up shop when it was obvious thet the game was lost at half time. If we as fans can see that, why couldn't he? I don't know where we go from here-like the Numan adverts, all I feel is DESPAIR DESPAIR DESPAIR😭
  18. Not one word of apology to the fans. Dead right, he doesn't give a fuck.
  19. Does anyone know for certain that Mowbray has promised game time to Klopp and Bielsa? Is he contractually bound to do so? If that is true, then it is a shocking indictment of our manager. I feel sorry for Butterworth. He is being overlooked for Poveda/Clarkson neither of whom are worth a place in our under 23s. Poveda was utterly appalling when he came on-every promising situation broke down because of his lethargic attitude. I can forgive Magloire for his errors because he is simply out of his depth and only played because of the injuries, but we must get Wharton and this Brighton lad fit ASAP.
  20. Not easy to get rid of a player who has been given a four year contract. Same goes for Ayala-three year contract and he has only played a handful of games. Does anyone know what his injury is?
