I thought his first touch in his first game was excellent, but that he faded in that game. More recently, I don't think his first touch has been as good and not as good s I expected with his provenance.
Some very churlish comments about Duff on here. His all round game is still vastly superior to MGP's although he doesn't carry quite the same goal threat. Now if you coud convert one to the right hand side....... what a prospect that would be.

as per my earlier post..............I just reckon we would have needed Uncle Jack to make that possible.
Then that is a real indictment of Bruce as a coach.
As the Coffee Exchange had thrown the Independent away by the time I got there today I had a glance at the Guardian. There was an interesting article about Bruce. It covered his patchy transfer deals and a comparison between him, as ex-manager of Wigan and Jewell, as current manager of Wigan. Bruce did not come out of the article well. However, if he pulls off a win tonight...........
Our reaction is that Pongolle "doesn't look like a striker". A more authentic striker would not choose some of the passes he makes, and would be more focused with some of the good situations he gets into. He's a reasonable player, but it's not clear what his best position is. A bit like Bentley.
It was remarkable that their number 10 was not booked-Reid did not enjoy getting stamped on and he pulled him down with his hand. He committed many other fouls, some of which looked bookable.
Someone said they liked Todd at the back because he is a good defender. As someone who does not rate Todd, what I have noticed is that he sften gets away with mistkes where other defenders do not- Zurab could maybe have done more with the awful throw to him. Todd was nowhere near Senderos when he headed over for Arsenal so he got away with his mistake again.
Yeah-I saw the advert and pointed it out to a friend.
I recently got something from the Rovers which talked about "saving money when you buy tickets". It also mentioned about season tickets, so if you go onto eticketing at the Rovers, you might be in luck.
I thought Savage caught him for the first booking.
The ticketing system also went down in the Jack Walker Upper- some grown men crawled under 1 turnstile.
Burnley had a young striker at Darlington, so it will be interesting to see how Johnson does compared to him.
Derbyshire is extending his stay at Wrexham.
Grayson is hoping to extend Andrew Taylor's stay at Blackpool.
My wife and I were in Madrid for4 nights and saw a number of Arsenal supporters. I' m just glad I didn't say to any of them, "You're going to lose the next 2 matches."
I thought he was brilliant. It was a dour set-up, with the inly skill coming from Tugay and Cole.
He did some superb passing and could not lose the ball in crucial areas.
