  1. It will be interesting to see what happens about Neill, who presumably has no future with us a centre back, but might have one as a full back if, as someone suggested, Hughes thinks he will get better value keeping him for the next 12 months. i certainly do not want Mills.
  2. I don't go in the BBE but I have heard from fans of other clubs they have been there- they have normally been sensible and shut up.
  3. Mind, I remember Hartlepool beating us at homes decades ago, also in the league cup.
  4. JW on Radio Lancs said he will be able to play on Sunday provided international clearance comes through.
  5. If you go on the web site, they might well say you can ask the Bank for earlier statements because you think you have paid unfair charges. i certainly have seen it somewhere.
  6. We also performed a lot better at home last season than the previous season when we ended up 6th.
  7. I think the £25 reward for encouraging non-season ticket holders to buy might have helped a little.
  8. According to the LET, he celebrated wildly in front of the Jimmy McIlroy stand. It also says that JJ played because of a calf injiry to Bothroyd and because Carl Cort was also missing. McCarthy had chased JJ since his days as Sunderland striker.
  9. For anybody that is over-reacting to this poor performance, and we as fans are often accused of over-reacting, there are a minimum of 41 matches to go.
  10. Mark Hughes on Radio Lancs agreed it was a poor start. He was surprised that we were not able to deal with some of Portsmouth's physical challenges as this is normally one of our strengths. He said it was game over after the 2nd goal/the sending off. He thought the 2nd booking was a little harsh. The ref has agreed to look at Todd's sending off to see if he got it right. Nelsen and Zurab are unlikely to be fit for Wednesday.
  11. Didn't Kanu score for WBA against us in the first match of the season a few years ago?
  12. It should have been 4-0. Someone missed from 7 yards. Gray went missing down the right wing and the danger arose from where he should have been. David Thomson has just come on.
  13. "With his first touch today, Kanu scored for Portsmouth. With his first touch today, Emerton, from a decent chance, put the ball out for a throw in". Simon Garner, Radio Rovers.
  14. In the LET, P.C. Andy Duxbury, a licensing officer for Blackburn police, said every pub in the town had been sent a letter warning them about the practice (of televising illegally).
  15. When I read the title, I presumed he was leaving and that the club were in for some disappointment. Nice one, Jim. I'm sure the management wanted him to stay- I did aa quote from JW yesterday.
  16. On the other hand, McCarthy does seem to like signing our strikers. But the LET today are saying he's there with a view to a permanent deal.
  17. According to the LET 15 players were called up from our 1st team squad last week.
  18. You should try PNE supporters websites as he was on loan there for part of last year. Radio Lancs said today the deal could be a loan or a permanent deal.
