  1. Didn't he miss one last season and wasn't the job taken off him?
  2. In view of the doubts thrown on your informtion, you might need to ga back more than once.
  3. Teletext said Jerome Watt is being offered non-contract terms-I think with Northampton.
  4. I read that Stewart was still at Bournemouth and had been offered a new contract. Bobby Saxton is coach, or number 2, at Sunderland.
  5. will there be tickets available on the gates?
  6. I'm not sure I would have bet on Bellamy being leading scorer in the Premiership last season- but he turned out to be a great signing for us. What really pleased me about Bellamy was how much he was a team player and how well he worked with the other players. I hope Roberts can contribute in a similar way.
  7. There is an excellent article by James Lawton in the Independent. It should be read by everybody who is an England fan, remembered by them and acted on by the appropriate people.
  8. In the minority-I don't know. But not alone.
  9. I imagine ther'll be lots of "you don't know what you're doing" when things go wrong.
  10. And then send them an e-mail to cofirm what you're doing.
  11. I don't follow Argentina that closely but the critics have said they have a very talented squad with some good attackers and yet they chose to shut up shop at 1-0 and did not get away with it. What it did for me was to really impact the importance of the manager's decision making; by not being positive, the manager blew it. I also wondered about the "mentality" of certain countries and indeed clubs. Would a Brazilian manager have been able to take such a decision? The answer might well be "yes", but maybe you know what I mean. It also reminded me of Don Revie who built up brilliant squads and almost always blew it in the closing stages of the season.
  12. The pundits on ITV argued that although it was stupid of Neill to go down, he did not actually make contact with the Italian, who made a meal of falling over him.
  13. Well, 2 is a pretty good shot.
  14. Yes. I think the ref was reprimanded and missed games.
  15. The LET suggested he turned down a higher offer to stay with us.
  16. I was watching the game as a neutral and I thought the ref could justify all 3 sendings off.
  17. There is an article in the LET today, in which Bryan Douglas pays tribute to him as one of his mentors.
  18. I wonder if MU would be interested in Reid. They have a problem in centre midfield with the loss of Keane and the current absence of Scholes. When they got Keane, he was considered to be the outstanding player in that position and many clubs wanted him. Well, at least we did. Is Reid comparable? I don't think so. He has certainly improved this season, but he still has a number of weaknesses. Now if MU do indeed want to sign him, in my opinion that signifies a decline in their club, by not going for the best possible players. Ferguson has made a number of mistakes in his transfers . This would be another one.
  19. Gray is a poor full back, but he's not as bad as that.
  20. I thought it was a very good article-well done!
  21. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the paper, but I would also like to say how much I have enjoyed these photos on here-they are brilliant.
  22. Don't know but Lucas obviously rates them! The quote was also on a link that someone brought up yesterday.
  23. The other recollection I have of this trip-I did not go- was that Rovers supporters said the train driver did really well to warn everybody etc, but that in a later investigation he was either sacked or demoted.
