  1. Again I dont see what your problem is. If he was to play a role in getting us promoted then £10 million Is nothing . He is a quality player
  2. But only paid if we get promoted. If he signs and we get promoted you would have to think it likely he would have played a major role in that promotion so the 10 million would have been worth every penny.
  3. That money would only be paid if we got promoted. He is a proven top end championship player even if he didn't prove himself to be premier League quality parachute clubs would give us half that ten million fee back or even if kept on and we got relegated we would have him for a promotion campaign. Trying to sign a player of O'Brien's quality isn't something they should be criticised for.
  4. It's on his Twitter yesterday answering people's questions about it.
  5. Going off his Twitter he doesn't think there has been an outcome yet.
  6. Is Grabban not with a club in Saudi Arabia?
  7. Oh definitely our fault just saying that is one of the things the club is basing it's appeal on well according to Nixon anyway
  8. In O'Briens case is it not because the EFL sent the his contract back asking for clarity over what the reduction in his wage would be if we got relegated which according to Nixon didn't need to be asked
  9. We were linked loosely by one of the tabloids with him the window he signed for Wrexham but nothing since then
  10. Thomas starts, Morton on the bench as are Gallagher and Hedges
  11. Maybe. But the club hasnt followed that model for the last 12/13 years Like Den suggested. We rarely sell a player, and when we do it's usually when a player has us over a barrell.
  12. No we haven't been trying to do that for 13 years Den. Show me the examples of us buying players, selling them for profit and reinvesting? It's complete and utter nonsense to suggest that the club the past 12/13 years has followed that model. Take Mowbrays 5 years for 4 of them only one first team regular sold .Then forced to sell Armstrong. In the summer we lost Lenihen, Rothwell and Nyambe all did free you wouldn't exactly say the club were pro-active in trying to sell any of them. Trading is the way to go for us
  13. Why do you doubt an 80k youngster from Rochdale can increase in value? He was being bought for the future not to be put into the first team straight away, all clubs make such signings. Sheffield United also wanted him They say a lot of things but at the end of the day our 2 main signings in terms of money spent were both 27. They also say promotion isnt on the agenda this year but willing to pay O'Briens wage and Sorba Thomas wage for 6 month whatever they say I do not believe they were doing that to finish tenth this season. Buying , developing, selling , reinvesting should be the route we are going down if we want to become more competitive in the market. But agreed Broughton not showing he can deliver, an average to mediocre window and an awful one ,got to be third time lucky for this fella .
  14. The 2 main signings in terms of money spent are Hyam and Szmodic. You wouldn't describe either as kids both coming into their prime
  15. The striker we tried getting on deadline day was Cardiff's Mark Harris
  16. According to Nixon Kone was always unlikely to happen. They had had multiple offers for their other striker Mofti for decent money which they were always likely to take and they would never have been letting Kone out in that scenario, which.ended up happening. Like you say it was known Undav wasn't coming here well in advance of deadline day, we had the money to pay O' Brien's high wages but ended it with the one signing in Sorba Thomas. In my opinion there is no dressing it up Broughton failed miserably in the January window. Not calling for his head but the summer window has to be much improved
  17. Nixon is writing about it on Sunday Don't forget to sign up for his patreon for the big reveal
  18. Is there many countries with their windows still open?
  19. Exactly what "new evidence" did they find an hour after the EFL gave their decision. They would have presented our side in detail today and the decision was made that the transfer wasn't made. Its pointless
  20. We are doing. Its to be heard next Tuesday
  21. Question marks over the 2 of them yet. Maybe Broughton is blameless over the paperwork debacle but still we failed to address other areas of the squad including the main one a goalscorer. I'm not having we didn't have the money as deals and finances were agreed for Undav and Kone.We had agreed to pay the £30 grand a week for O'Brien and if the media are to be believed tried to bring in Cook from Forest also on deadline day Even if we were just to take the £30 grand for O' Brien 30k per week wouldn't have found us an upgrade in midfield or up front?15k a week for midfielder and 15 for striker would have us with a better first 11 imo JDT is blameless over the window and has us is in a healthy position so has a bit more credit in the bank but nobody can say he has us playing to any sort of identity yet and the football is more often than not drab, he also makes some odd decisions, decisions I would have called the previous manager out for. Wouldn't sack either of the 2 of them yet but Broughton in particular has to show a lot more in the next window
  22. No.He would have needed to be out of contract before the transfer window closed to play for us
  23. Yeah full wages but still doesn't matter we can't be sued over this. Deals have collapsed before due to the relevant paperwork not being submitted in time.Nobody got sued.
  24. He doesn't have a legal case against us. It's a shit show but il eat my hat if there are any grounds for Forest/O'Brien to sue us.
  25. There isn't any chance that forest/O'Brien can sue us for this.
