  1. Look at the budget he had? Where are these director of football that get the majority of their signings right with the budget we have? Ennis was on the back of a very good season and at the time he was signed our budget hadn't been cut. Telalovic was quite clearly a development signing , if he had the money to bring in proven quality then that's what they would have gone for.And maybe with some time he will come good, Tronsted was being used as a stick to beat Broughton with earlier in the season and over the last couple of month he has probably been one of our most important players. Hill and Moran so far have looked excellent loan signings. Wahlstedt has looked iffy for me but at the same time we weren't the only club interested and he made his international debut the previous January so he must have been showing something. Our business under him hasn't been perfect but I find it incredibly harsh to read he is out of his depth being said with such certainty with the circumstances and budget he works under. Also if it was him who identified and chose JDT then he deserves big credit for that , he has also got nearly every member of the first team squad signed onto longer deals.
  2. And even with the striker situation hard to find a decent one with the crumbs he has for a budget.
  3. Although experience is needed failing that surely we will be looked upon as an attractive option with our style of play for some of the better younger lads that might be let out on loan in January.Hopefully we can pick up a player or 2 who can impact our season like Moran and Hill have so far
  4. Romano reckons the deal is already done £27 million
  5. The Irish gangland series Kin is dropping on BBC iPlayer on Saturday,id highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it Anyone give it a go?
  6. Wharton's red card has been overturned
  7. Yeah think JDT said a few weeks so after the international break
  8. A number of our players are prone to injury though like Brittain and JRC for example so wouldn't surprise me to see one or two changes. He did make one change after the 4-0 win at QPR.
  9. You can watch the red button matches on now TV now. A couple of minutes before kick off it comes on .Scroll right down to the bottom of the sports page and you will find it under bonus streams
  10. Not sure if already mentioned but the game is available on Rovers Tv tonight. £1.50
  11. He had a deal on offer at Plymouth and from his interview he turned down other interest to come here
  12. Sky sports have hill and Wharton in midfield with Brittain and JRC at full back . Markanday and Dolan either side of Moran with Szmodic up top
  13. Sorry but how has it been clear for many years that the plan is to develop and sell players. In the last 13 years you can count on one hand the amount of players we have developed and sold on
  14. Yeah and unlikely finish as high as 7th . That does not mean it's a relegation squad which it isn't.
  15. We had our share of hammerings last season. We finished 7th We are in a rut, the tactics may need tweaking.Noticed on this or another thread you reckoned we should be worried about relegation and you ain't alone. Not a chance we get relegated.
  16. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/24102317/efl-broadcasting-issue-clubs-statement-fuming-fans/ It wasn't just rovers stream effected
  17. Better options than Dolan though. He has been shocking so far this season.
  18. Are you in the UK?it won't be available for UK viewers
  19. Ok but I disagree with him.How many goals does he have to concede before we give our main summer signing in terms of a transfer fee a chance?
  20. Pears should have been dropped
  21. I must have missed us beating Watford beating west Brom beating Boro. I'm sorry but joke post, one of Ipswich easiest games this season ?Based on what?
  22. When he was breaking through, few years back before all his injury issues and pre breaking into the senior team there was a bit of noise about him and back then I watched the underage and he stood out, saying that so did Butterworth. I'm not putting him on A.Wharton level just my opinion he showed enough last season to prove he isnt a poor footballer which is how he was described in the initial post I responded too
  23. Because the second half of last season was the only time he had an extended run in the side since he broke through to the first team. I won't disagree he played poorly under Mowbray but he was injury hit he never had an extended spell playing week in and week out. Seen enough from him last season and from how highly he was thought of from his time in the youth team to disagree that he is a poor footballer.
  24. Exactly so why are you posting that you got it right that he is a shit footballer 6 games into the season?
  25. Awful in every game in your opinion...not my opinion and not by the majority going off the replies to your initial post.He hasn't hit the heights of last season but he has not been awful in the matches he has started this season Second half of last season he was our best performer. I'm in agreement he isn't a brilliant defender and with the way Mowbray set up was very weak at full back but JDT more or less gives him a free role when he lines up in that position, expecting Travis and Carter to cover. If he wasn't a good footballer like you suggest then why would JDT do that.
