  1. Kerry Doughty passed away in 2020
  2. Just finished a town called Malice on sky , enjoyable eight parter
  3. It not obvious there is a clause. He had been benched and only came back into the side due to an injury to Buckley.
  4. Southampton won't let Smallbone leave on a permanent especially if they are a championship club
  5. Hopefully see A.Wharton on the bench at the very least. Britain in at RB and id give JRC a try in midfield.Hope Morton doesn't start
  6. Well he is Welsh and had spent a number of years with their football association so I don't see why it wouldn't be a pull for him having a bigger role in that organisation and presumably an improved wage. I very much doubt he has decided to move on due to someone not getting O'Brien's registration through.
  7. Huddersfield over achieved last season by making the play off final.Lost 2 players from that squad in the summer and the manager and now they are fighting to stay in the league. We don't have the fourth best group of players in the league, so being 4th is over achieving imo.
  8. It wan an incredible November ,December and part of January .3 months of the season we were excellent,up to Fulham 7-0 it was mediocre and February onwards it was terrible.
  9. Mowbray had 5 years here the majority of that squad with the exception of van Hecke and Khadra were here in previous seasons . We couldn't even make the playoffs when we had a striker who scored 28 league goals. We had an excellent few months last season as soon as 1 or 2 got injured/lost form we fell off a cliff. His best finish is eighth place and 5 players who contributed massively to that had departed the club so I'm not having JDT walked into a squad that was top 6/8 material. If you do fair enough but we will leave at that before we bore the board to death
  10. Yes I said that in my initial response to you though I have noticed you on a few occasions suggesting that Tomosson should be improving on last seasons top 8 finish when the core of the starting 11 had departed which I don't agree with we looked very good last season for 3 months but a lot of things fell into place for that to happen such as Brerertons form and Rothwell showing his best form, the rest of the season we were mediocre at best Yes Mowbray left the squad in a better place than what he found it but on paper it wasn't a top 8 squad JDT was walking into.
  11. JDT is overachieving with the squad.Nobody on here would have had us down to be in fourth place and be in an fa cup quarter final after already making the last 16 in the league cup. Of course still time for it to fall apart but currently he is getting more out of the squad than Mowbray did or would have . I do think Mowbray did ok in general just stayed here way too long and last season as soon as we lost Rothwells drive from midfield after by far his best form here and Brererton got injured/stopped scoring as regularly. We lost the club captain, Rothwell, Nyambe and van Hecke and Khadra went back. All important members of the first 11 when we where doing well as soon as the squad players were called upon we fell away in the league
  12. If Tony Mowbray was the manager with this squad we would not be sitting in fourth place now. Van Hecke, Khadra, Nyambe ,Lenihen and Rothwell were part of our strongest 11 last season. A club loses 5 of it's better players from their first 11 but the new manager Should be bettering last seasons finish according to Roversfan.Ridiculous way of thinking imo.It wasn't squad players we lost ,they were major players in the excellent 3 month spell we had last season that led us to second place. As soon as a few injuries hit including Brererton we fell away.
  13. It wasn't a top 8 squad he inherited though. The main reasons we finished as high as eighth had departed the club with the exception of Brererton who had stopped scoring at a ridiculous rate prior to JDT joining up. I'm in agreement that when Mowbray joined the club he inherited a lot worse squad than JDT did but Mowbray didn't leave a squad on paper that should be challenging for challenging for promotion 5 of our main players from that excellent spell that got us to 2nd in the league had departed the club
  14. Lenihen,Van Hecke, Rothwell were huge for the team last season when things where going well Lesser extent Nyambe and Khadra but important members of the team. Mowbray also had Brererton banging them in at a superior rate for half a season but as soon as those goals dried up and Rothwells form went out the window the squad went down the table. The squad didn't step up last season when our star men were out of form or injured currently they are
  15. We got A.Wharton and Buckley tied down to long term deals this summer.Ash Phillips tied down for as long as we legally could. Travis , Kaminski and Gallagher last season. So yeah I do think the club will be offering new contracts to the players coming to the end of their contracts , that we want to keep.
  16. What would be gained by lying about Ainsworth? Nobody from the club said we interviewed him anyway. It was the media and maybe an itk on here or social media
  17. Rotherham 2 up now.A win could be huge here with the current scores in the other games
  18. Yeah I got it wrong. Is it on ifollow?
  19. It's on sky football it's the featured game Oh it isn't actually
  20. Nixon saying the hearing is scheduled for the 28th.Also saying Forest are waiting to see what happens with it before considering offers from the MLS for him
  21. Wouldn't surprise me if Wilder goes in there
  22. He is always amongst the favourites when that job comes up
  23. The next 3 league games are all winnable without O'Brien and he would be cup tied anyway for the Leicester game. We are struggling to score granted and a joke no striker was brought in but the same set of players managed to win 14 games the first half of the season and we are still proving hard to beat backed up by the fact we have only lost once in 2023. For me , the O'Brien transfer only becomes pointless if we are actually adrift and personally don't feel that will be the case after the next 3 league game and then another week until our next match.A decision has to be made at some point surely it can't drag into March
  24. We are a point outside the top 6. Even if no decision next 2 league games but results are kind,(we should be beating Swansea and Blackpool at home,) we will either be in the top 6 or not far off it. It would be a massive boost to have O'Brien for the run in and potentially the play offs.
