  1. Top bloke, for a Yorkshireman.
  2. Captained the 1975 Championship team and ran a cracking little sports shop in Brownhill, I remember buying my kangaroo skin Patrick’s Kevin Keegan’s from him, was so exciting.
  3. No, but funnily enough I did see Brereton having something to eat in Salvatores during his early days at Ewood. I now live very close to Alex Neil and have seen him walking his dog, once in two years. He didn’t let in about any club or player matters 😂
  4. Spot on, top of the class.
  5. Walton has matured and my Ipswich pal, really rates him.
  6. Until he throws in a bad performance, Pears deserves to keep the shirt. Kaminski is just about competent, nothing special and not a patch on Gennoe, Arnold or Sir Roger in their prime.
  7. Ewood was like a morgue yesterday, despite a very decent attendance. A buoyant and loud crowd definitely can make the difference but the team on the pitch set the tone, give the crowd something to get behind and believe in and it will be returned in spades, the much vaunted 12th man. They gave us nothing yesterday to light the fuse.
  8. I’m from Whalley and live in the Ribble Valley, within a few miles of Brockhall and get out and about, I rarely see any Rovers players.
  9. One point all season, after going behind shouts out mentality / back-bone / resilience deficiency, in spades.
  10. Maybe your right about yesterday but it is the Easter track record, Sheffield Wednesday and Yeovil under Bowyer and who can forget the capitulation last year at London Road and then the Stoke defeat at Ewood.
  11. There are far easier ways not to sign someone than making your club a national laughing stock by way of incompetence. O’Brien had done interviews / phot shoot and signed, extreme incompetence not malice aforethought.
  12. The day after the Arbitrator’s judgement, which clearly exposed what a monumental cock-up it was, I asked the question as to when Gregg would be providing the promised post appeal interview. In my view, criminal he hasn’t done what he undertook to do and is clearly getting away with it, Scot free. Bloody shameful
  13. Dolan, BBD or Gallagher is Hobson’s choice ! None of them have a real striker’s instinct to be in right place at the right time and the clinical ability needed to plunder the goals required.
  14. Thomas not playing was a massive mistake, he has provided some width and much needed pace since arrival. Hedges was woeful and I hate having a left footer, with no right foot stuck to the right wing, makes it so easy for a full back knowing that they cannot be taken on the outside 😡
  15. Sadly, and I imagine like most seasoned campaigners, I expect us to deliver another no show tomorrow. Strangely, the only hope that I carry is that Huddersfield have won three on the trot and four on the bounce is a rarity and against the odds. However, one has to wonder whether they could have picked a better opposition to beat the odds, Rovers usually oblige.
  16. Absolutely no chance, the player picked the ball up and ran with it a long way, whilst holding JRC challenge off.
  17. I think you probably mean Mick Heaton (RIP) who had a sports shop in Brownhill.
  18. We can’t be blaming you for this no show Jim, that’s for sure. Enjoy the Emerald Isle and a few pints of the black stuff ☘️
  19. He made a good save and had little, indeed no chance with either goal. Hyam should have got a tackle in for the second goal but he dawdled and had an absolutely awful game yesterday, all over the place.
  20. Sadly, I have to agree, I just can’t see us getting anything but well beaten 🙈
  21. He perhaps wasn’t as bad as most of his teammates but hardly wonderful, hardly in game first half and never troubled the keeper despite a few chances to do so. His job is to create chances, we created very little of note.
  22. The performance was awful, cowardly almost and they gave the crowd nothing to cheer about, imo the crowd had every right to point this out.
  23. We still didn’t force the issue or exert any sustained pressure, even when both there starting CH’s were off injured.
  24. Surely anyone must be better than Gallagher, he ‘might’ work hard but he has no touch, no control, can’t head it and most importantly, simply no striker’s instinct. Awful performance today. I could have bet my house on losing at B’ham last week but today was simply shocking but unfortunately, typical Rovers. Sadly, the team are losers, until they can find a way to get back into a game after going behind, we are going nowhere. Just one point all season gained after going behind, even that was a last minute set piece, it’s a pretty damning indictment.
