This issue is when we “can’t afford” to buy players in key areas, having spent fortunes on poor players. FFP just makes it even more important that we spend our money as wisely as possible.
-
We have a temporary loan situation. That just means it needs addressing again. Ergo it hasn’t really been addressed.
-
This really is tricky for some folk to grasp isn’t it.
-
Don’t disagree with what you say but it would have given me more hope for our future.

Under responded-to post. Sets a bad precedent for Rovers...

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17929714.rovers-fitness-latest-leaves-mowbray-selection-dilemma/ Rothwell not ill but a doubt. That can’t be right. He was due to start in the last game. ?

Have to say, I can’t believe that “the club should be doing more/better to attract new fans” isn’t an idea that all fans can get behind.
-
Not really buddy. The transfer window didn’t address our really problems and created even more problems in the area we are already fully stocked. I think Mowbray peaked at West Brom (ironically with a brand of football that I’d prefer and that he has stated he no longer likes) and his L1 second place (having decided not to try to win the league) was a bit of a dead cat bounce. Would I sack him right now? No, but I do think we need some new ideas. If I’m eating my words come the end of the season, I’ll be delighted mind.
-
But snobby. They are at the same level as us. But the operative word is in bold, which is more than Chapman and others do for Rovers. Some folk seem to like pretending that Mowbray promotes youth team players ahead of his own signings. Only a small percentage of our own get in and when they do he highlights their failings in public and then drops them or let’s them go. Like I said, Mahoney will not look back at Rovers and wish he was on the bench here instead of on the pitch at Millwall.

Après toi. Mange tout, mange tout.

Flakey.

Matty of all people? Barking very loudly up the wrong tree there matey. 99.5% of what he posts is usually based on a very solid footing!
-
Yeah, it’s a tough one to understand.
-
Someone is going to miss out. The player Mowbray bought or the U23 graduate who “is only a young kid really” and “still has lots of years ahead of him” and “needs to be patient”? Holtby looks a good player but I’d rather we had brought in someone of similar pedigree in attack or full back. We now have a headache to rotate the midfield. I guess we will see but I don’t think Connor Mahoney will look back with much regret about leaving. Just hope Travis doesn’t end up following him.

It really is a simple question. Don’t overthink it!
-
Apologies. I agree with your original post. Please accept my reply as aimed at our current administration!
-
Investing in future fans is “a bit of a waste”? Don't think I’ve ever read anything so crass and shortsighted. ? I really hope you don’t work for the club in any capacity.
-
Every initiative will cost money so I guess we’d better just give up. Right now we are doing very little, if anything, meaningful to bring new fans in. The alternative is just to accept year on year price increases which just means we’ll have fewer and fewer on. Or get promoted.
-
Maybe. More likely we would rather take the mark up on shirts from existing fans than take the hit of the cost price on new fans. It would certainly be consistent.
-
Stanley can afford it.

Who filmed that Dom’s agent on his Nokia 3310? Where’s Mols’ goal? ?
-
You’ve taken this well off piste. Are you saying our set up under Mowbray is better than Norwich’s under Farke or not?
-
So you deny we paid over £10m on three poor strikers. Very easy to say we aren’t talking facts when you simply dismiss the facts.
-
Disagree with your list of players who have improved the club. It’s all about opinions though. But the difference is the amount of money Mowbray has spent compared to how much Farke has - and their respective return on investment.
-
It’s all about the manager, coaches and scouting team. How does ours measure up?
