  1. Pukki and our captain buy and sell a foul between them and have a laugh with each other. Our players just don’t care.
  2. 1-0 down and bringing on Bennett and Downing! Somebody put him out of his misery, he’s taking the piss out of all of us - Venkys included!!
  3. Coyle was the fourth worst thing to happen to this club.
  4. Whilst I do find it amusing, it’s really sad that it has got to this. I’ve never been a Mowbray fan but he has put a positive mark on this club, it’s a shame that his legacy may well be a bad one. Especially if Brockhall is carved up under his watch. Strange day today, about to spend a tenner on a pay per view match that I expect us to lose by at least two goals, and a performance to be ashamed of, while the manager talks about ‘possession’ and all of the other things it that box.
  5. Nothing to play for? Fun fact: we are 7 points above relegation when you consider Rotherham have FOUR games in hand on Big Club and Coventry. There are nine games left and on our current form (5 points from eleven games) we are on track to get a further 4 more points. I’m very worried that the relegation places are rushing up to meet us - fast - and we are total at the mercy of a manager who seems to have lost the plot and players who won’t even take the games by the scruff of the next DESPITE Mowbray. A big problem when you have no leaders in the entire squad. In years past there would be a meeting of senior players to work out how they are going to turn things around. We don’t have enough players whose futures are tied to the club enough to care - and Mowbray sets them up for failure and then tells them (through media comments) it’s the pitch or the officials or the fixture pile up! Feels like we are already relying on other results to go out way.
  6. Does he really believe the stuff he says? The LT doesn’t even need to criticise him - not that they ever would - they just need to keep printing his nonsense. “The team has got an identity, the team is playing a brand of football that if we take our chances we win pretty comfortably and everyone gets excited about the team as they were at the start of the season,” Mowbray said. He really thinks we have a winning brand of football? At least I presume when he’s talking about “the team” he means Rovers. “At this moment it’s a bit more difficult, and teams at the top end of this division have players with a bit more individual craft that can turn a tight football match. He talks about individual craft - but forgets that he picks up and drops individual talent until the learn the Mowbray way. Dolan is going the same way that Rothwell has, and Klopp must be alarmed at the reverse that we are now seeing in Elliott. The confidence and belief we had earlier in the season has evaporated. We were on of those teams at the top end, challenging for the play-offs, and now he has taken us backwards it’s somehow difficult to compete. We’ve reached the nadir we did under Bowyer where we have the players but don’t have the manager and coaching team to get the best out of them. Instead of reacting to protect the players, both in team progression and individual value, our owners - and their people at Ewood watch as the whole thing falls apart before starting again. If Venkys are still wondering why failure costs so much then either they really have learned nothing - or it is exactly how they want it. You know things are bad when the LT comments section turn against you. Obviously there are still apologists around but I expect even their devil’s advocacy is becoming harder to construct with a straight face.
  7. These two statements are incompatible. I cannot remember a worse game of football than that.
  8. Was just looking at that. Brum are 19th in that 10-game-form table and have just sacked Karanka. People are still defending him though. “Form table is meaningless, it’s about points already won.” Some truth in that but it does beg the question: how bad does it have to get?
  9. Not much of a bench though. Huge Summer for Rovers.
  10. The snow ball wasn’t racist either. All they had to do was sack Kean while we were in the PL and all would have been well.
  11. Different times, different people. No way was the Ince sacking remotely racist. If anything Lewis going down that road will have done a lot of harm for clubs fearing the same.
  12. Paul Ince must be absolutely livid when he sees the amount of time and number of epic bad runs Mowbray keeps getting.
  13. Just so we are clear, you are saying the protesters were racists?
  14. This is going to be a watershed Summer for the club. Lots of player contracts ending and talk of not spending to replace them so we will have to dip into the U23s, freebie and loan market - not necessarily in that order. Out in the Summer Downing, Bennett, Johnson, Holtby, Evans, Rothwell, Bell, JRC, Douglas, Trybull, Elliott, Harwood-Bellis, Branthwaite, (Mulgrew, Chapman) Into last 12 months Kaminski, Lenihan, Armstrong, Wharton, Davenport, Brereton, Buckley, Dolan, Nyambe (if option exists) 2 years or more Ayala, Gallagher, Dack, Travis Looks like a complete rebuild required. If Mowbray isn’t going to be around to oversee it then he really should go now and a new manager be brought in quickly. Sadly I can see there being nobody lined up when Mowbray does decide he’s had enough and we’ll scrap along with Venus or Johnson, or even Barr in the interim. As always we look weak at CB, have nobody at LB and RB is a further problem. The rest of the team would pick itself with Armstrong or only saleable asset and assumed not to be sticking around for the ambitionless season of yet more stability. Of those out of contract how many would we want to renew? How many will want to stay? No wonder the family silver is being weighed up!
  15. It wasn’t a ‘go’. I was just stating fact. If Mowbray has not picked him he’d have been criticised for that too. Our problems run much deeper than tonight and incidents like this are not really a fluke but the culmination of many other decisions that brought us to this point. But that’s a debate for another day. Just feeling weary of it all at this point. We are back to watching the slow motion car crash. Yet again. Parsonblue used to talk about the ebb and flow of football. We really are at a low ebb right now, here’s hoping an upturn at some point soon. Given were we are I don’t see how it can until there is a change of manager.
  16. Meanwhile JRC was rested. The decision to play him has certainly cost us.
  17. Although it was a foul by Raya, I’m also in the camp of the pitch being a major contributing factor to Dack’s injury. Saving a few quid has ruined our season and injured players. I remember Rothwell going off earlier in the season. Absolutely gutting for the lad. Just don’t see a way back for him now. It’s a really hard time to be a Rover. We haven’t even got any siege mentality to fall back on.
  18. As you say though he has a win so all is well. He’s going nowhere.
  19. Looks like we are going to be below Preston after tomorrow. Hopefully Swansea can beat Luton and avoid us going down to 17th. Wish there weren’t still ten games to go. ”Stop the count”
