You keep pointing this out but his prospects at Burnley are far greater than at Rovers, time now at least. If he performs in Div 2 (the only benchmark they will have) as he performed for us there then he may get a first team opportunity. There is certainly a far greater incentive there than to stay here and - best case - try to break into Mowbray’s dysfunctional team. Probably at full back. I’m not sure I can cope with another few years of Mowbray. I’m desperately hoping that he is gone soon. Sadly I fear that the only way he will be sacked is if we are in the bottom three - too late and not attractive to any decent managers. Or relegation at which point he probably will walk. For all his talk of integrity and not wanting to be a burden it’s looking very much like he will keep taking us down. I just hope we still have a Cat 1 academy after he and his cronies have gone out we will be talking about Mols as part of “the good old days”.

Lots of players don’t get into teams for reasons unknown or due to incompetent managers. Josh King couldn’t get a game working for Bowyer. Look how their respective careers panned out. Maybe the manager of said Spanish club is as clueless as some of our managers, who knows. I stand by my original point: I’m disappointed we didn’t take Mols to the next step. But then players rarely do progress on Mowbray’s slow motion conveyor belt where they have to wait while he develops PL players, who get to make their mistakes here instead. If one of our youngsters has made a game-ending mistake like Harvey Elliott did this week they’d have been dropped like a stone after a public hanging-out-to-dry.

I’ll take that as a no.

The most important thing about this game is not the result, or the performance, but how working class I feel afterwards. There's room in the top six they are telling you fools But first you must learn to win more than lose If you want to be like the folks in wide shoes ...that would be something to be

It’ll be a bit like a Tinder date for this Fans Forum. They’ll need Zoom... (I’ll get me coat). Seriously though it’ll be interesting to have your questions in a amongst all of those people who think it’s a fantastic idea and asking how quickly the land can be flogged to make way. Expect a lot of “you’re breaking up K-Hod” and “oh he’s gone off early”. (The FF not a Tinder date!) It’s probably as well it’a not in person or you’d need to wear something waterproof. (Still the FF!)

Have you watched Mols play? Something not right about his development. Damien Duff would have been released by this bunch.

K-Hod is going to be like the best man at a wedding reading out the well-wishes from guests, rolling his eyes and chucking in a few uncle knobhead jokes in between cards. ”One here from the first team to Jackie – Apologies we couldn’t all be there today, good luck with Derrick, we found him to be useless in most positions, but wishing you all the best for tonight.”

Future quiz question right there!

Oddly there was a stat that we have the most or (second most) touches in the box. Maybe they are all Armstrong. Getting people in the box is usually a sign of direct football so some thoughts: - we don’t have any deadball specialists (Downing?) - we don’t have any crossers of the ball (Nyambe) - we don’t have any headers of the ball (Gallagher?) - Mowbray’s only attribute that he clings to us his style of play, preferring (ineffective) possession over (aggricultural) long balls Just imagine if he decides that to keep us up he has to become more like Warnock, Big Sam or Pulis! Oh the irony!! Let’s Just hope it keeps us up...

Mols at Burnley...? 😢 Genuinely gutted to read that.

Wonder if he works in the Ewood area...?

In some ways many of these fans seem to prefer relegation with Mowbray in charge than the unknown of replacing him. They seen to lap up every excuse that he makes and aren’t prepared to challenge or have any opinion of their own. There were mumblings about him needed to go a little over a week ago and now people are beginning to flip-flop again. Nobody likes fighting a losing battle but Mowbray’s comments on Tuesday seem to have garnered some sympathy. The thing is, he isn’t a captive employee, he’s a wealthy man and could walk away. Instead he is publicly saying that Venkys need to tell him if he is a burden and until then he will carry on doing his thing - which right is the most worrying prospect. 2 more defeats could put is in real trouble. Already we are relying on teams below us to lose.

You could very well be right. I still believe he was ‘promoted’ to avoid further embarrassing Mowbray. His U23s were playing a better and more successful brand of football than the first team at the time.

Championship Season 2020 - 2021

Rotherham have two games in hand yet on Birmingham and Coventry who are on 35 points. We have a game in hand on both but we may actually be 5 points off the bottom three. Our next three games are against 12th, 4th and 2nd. Shit is starting to get real. Luckily Mowbray isn’t affected by results. Which will be pleasing for his fans. -
P22: W9 D4 L9 Only person I’d keep is Johnson.

Brockhall STC - planning permission application ?

The interesting thing for me is that - at face value - they want to upgrade the academy facilities and training academy and the only way to do that is through selling land and reducing the footprint... ...despite having billionaire owners who could upgrade the facilities with ease - and still retain the land and its future value. Why now and why by selling off Jack’s land? -
Will Cat 1 Academy status under the new plans be assured before selling off the training ground?

They’ve become accustomed to receiving praise for possession... -
Ain’t that the truth. And yet like you I thought Lambert was the best appointment they made - a shift from non-entities to a serious approach. Despite this the bloke seems to be one-down from Kean in how much he is despised on here.

You were in quick there before I edited my post. Jeez.

Lambert was before Coyle wasn’t he? Or am I going mad?

Don’t put words in my mouth. Kean was a charlatan but while there were fans to stand up against him there was hope. -

Listening to this bloke is the pits. I wonder if he really believes his own crap. A bit of a pearler with “You don’t fluke your way out of this league - maybe once in every ten years that happens” (maybe twice with him and Coyle!) The interviewer saying we don’t have money any more (spent a small fortune in his time) and we’ve had injuries (doesn’t matter if we have everyone fit or not - in fact the more players available the more he rolls that tombola machine). “Working class fans” should be happy with what we’ve got (I.e. Mowbray). They want to see their teams fight and not having fans in the ground us a problem. Doesn’t seem to affect other teams in the same way. Funny none of these talking heads ask, know or care about the fact they are looking to sell off our prized training grounds. One of these feckwits thinks we shouldn’t get rid of Mowbray now as “he’ll keep us up”. Fucking hell! At any other club he would be out. This evening. He sounds like he’s not sure if the hammer will fall or not. But it sounds like he feels close to the end. No wonder the players hearts aren’t in it if nobody knows if he’ll be here by the next game or be given until the end of the season. Frankly it’s embarrassing to think that we have a CEO who can’t or won’t act to end this uncertainty that could destroy this club. Even in the darkest times of Kean I don’t remember feeling this devoid of hope. At least there was a resistance movement, now there is nothing but apathy! -
