https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/56151863 This one suggests Rovers will be just short of 8,000 (25% of capacity). I’ve not seen a 40,000 requirement either. Sounds like a reverse engineering of the 25% rule.

I was talking about this season. Nobody is going to buy a 2020/21 ST in May.
-
Why wouldn’t there be a walk on? Who has said proof of vaccination will be required?
-
They would do well to convince iFollow to keep showing games to keep a bit of cash coming in. 2,500 people and to avoid complaints they’ll have to make the walk-on price inappropriately high. £25 to watch a dead rubber anyone? Just imagine if Mowbray is still here at the start of next season!

Where/who would the U23s play? Without Cat 1 status, we cannot continue in PL2 so it would be a reserve league format. Meanwhile any prospects would be picked off by bigger clubs for peanuts. The fact that this has come out so surreptitiously shows just how little the club care about fans in all this - especially for something supposedly so positive. We’ve heard from the Rovers Trust, do we have any thoughts from any Fans Forum representatives? Still nobody is talking about Mowbray any more. 🤔 -

Wonder what other rules have been changed due to Covid. Stiffed by the Walker Trust. Stiffed by the fit and proper test. Stiffed by SEM. Stiffed by the imposter. Stiffed by the media and the local rag. Stiffed by FFP. Stiffed by Cheston’s holiday leave. Stiffed by the stand out candidate. Stiffed by Covid regs. And if we lose Cat 1 status, stiffed by EPPP. -

Still catching up on the earlier exchanges but this is a brilliant post. It neatly highlights exactly what Venkys are NOT doing. -

Today’s social media users would have been primary school kids or early secondary when Venkys rocked up. Those poor bastards are literally ignorant to the kind of club we were before Venkys and SEM. Sure they can watch dvds or YouTube clips but they didn’t even experience the Hughes era, let alone Souness - never mind Kenny. I’m just so sad that Jack’s legacy is being sold off for scrap. It feels like a death in the family. -

The lack of effort to attract new fans and increase attendances now makes more sense. Dissenting voices at a football club make it a bit more difficult to do things like this. Lockdown must be a dream come true. Sadly football clubs in the North West are going the same way as our pubs. Nobody gives a shit anymore. The FF, who I have to expect are also completely blindsided by all of this, should be raising holy hell at the next meeting - whether on Zoom or in person. -

Cat 1 status is the litmus test in all this. Keep it and keep attracting a decent pedigree of intake - suitable for PL2 Div1 - and the ends may justify the means. The state of the art training centre will need to be on a par with our competitors. That said, when the current one was built, our competitors where in the top flight. If we are only going to be as good as Brentford then we will no longer be able to use it as part of the ‘sell’ to new players. I guess I’m very much hoping that the sale of the land is blocked and anyone only here for that and not for the betterment of BRFC clears off. As far as any fans continuing to be grateful just to have a club, I’ve reached the conclusion that we do have a lot of very ignorant fans. There will still be some around who think Kean wasn’t as bad as everyone made out. -

For a so called journalist, or any of them for that matter, I can’t believe there isn’t a story in the link (coincidental or not) between Coventry City, training ground sales, housing companies, land ownership and Blackburn Rovers. Football is a murky world, with huge amounts of money at stake, and the newspapers and media are very much a part of it. Gone are the days of unbiased investigative journalism - advertising is too important. -

I wish Mowbray would have backed him like he backed Armstrong. A settled back for is what successful teams are built on. Instead he has chopped and changed and recruited badly. -

He has all the potential to be at least another Marcus Olsson possibly Martin, but even Marcus played over 150 Championship games between us and Derby. Really needs to work for a manager who knows what he’s doing. -

He has some brass neck that bloke. He has been calling him out for the last two years. Regularly dropping him and replacing him with inferior players as if to prove a point. Even with a striker two games ago! Most right thinking fans have backed him. Then he was completely dropped with the only explanation as ‘no reason’ and he ‘can’t pick every player’. Then recalls him and he ends up injured. Now he blames Rovers fans. What an utter charlatan. -

Thanks @Ozz -
If it weren’t Rovers, it’d be fascinating to think about how this is going to play out. He isn’t going to walk. Waggott won’t or has no jurisdiction to replace him. Pasha looks to have no inclination or power to do anything. Venkys don’t appear to care one way or the other. How will it end?

Don’t anyone get too excited for any silver lining that things might change. Two seasons ago he effortlessly survived this run, in front of a live stadium audience. -

Nyambe has made a goal line clearance, won a pen and been one of our best attacking threats. Yet he’s not good enough for Mowbray. -

Too often we make positive changes to try to rescue a point. It would be good to pick a team to get a result then bring on a Davenport or an Evans to protect a lead.
