Definitely one for the Fans Forum to keep an eye on. They need to be insisting and monitoring that the new facilities DO meet Cat 1 academy requirements. No reason they shouldn’t but I would hate for there to be any ‘misunderstanding’ or ‘oversight’...

Yardley and Lucy trotting out Mowbray’s excuses for him. All of our centre backs out. If the four lads at the back played blinders and kept a clean sheet today Mowbray would still change two of them next game.

What odds our new facilities don’t meet the requirements for Cat 1? We shall see. I don’t trust a single one of them. They have got the ear of Venkys so much so that results no longer matter. What else will they go for?

And of course one has to happen before the other. Which means things can change. Look what happened to the Jordan Rhodes money. Some fans are getting the club they deserve. I just wish the rest of us weren’t getting one we don’t.

Who will own the land? We may have a new facility planned but who will Rovers be tenants of?

Weighing in the statue is a good analogy. The same fans currently agreeing with the sale of Brockhall (is there anything they won’t psychotically agree with?) would also defend such a move. “The club need the money and have to make tough decisions”. What happens when the club unveil that to replace the senior centre they are going into a partnership with Pleckgate, Pleasington, Witton or Fenny to share community pitches? Closing of the highly successful academy that Mowbray isn’t able to successfully bring the fruits of into the first team. We are heading down a road I expected we would have to once Venkys departed and honest Rovers fans were running things on a shoe string. Not while billionaire Venkys are still here and millionaire managers and CEO are still earning huge wages. By the time the Rovers Trust are directly involved, there will be no legacy left. Someone said slow motion car crash, I see this as a slow motion heist. The Walker Trust trustees ought to be utterly ashamed that they have trampled all over everything that Jack bequeathed them in order to make coin. Not sure which I’m more upset at: the Walkers, Venkys, the charlatans making money out of the misery that they are creating or the super-fans who pretend all is well and excuse everything being done. I’d very much like to know whose idea this sale is. I have strong suspicions...

Most clubs recognise when a manager is getting stale and act. Not here. Thankfully our guy is a man of integrity who will walk away if he thinks he is holding us back. Wonder how bad we will have to be before he thinks that? Right now he seems to think he has us punching above our weight just by being midtable in the Championship - so it could be a while yet.

Such a patronising manager. There’s no way Nyambe is going sign a new contract for Mowbray. Mowbray has treated him disgracefully throughout his time here, the club lacks any ambition, and is now offering peanuts even compared to other Championship clubs. Venkys wanted to throw money at the team and Mowbray, according to himself, told them to keep their cash and he would build the club in the right way. This is the end result. No promotion prospects, demotivated players, no money? And the excuse? Blaming the Blackburn Rovers pauper brand that they have helped create - even alienating supporters to help perpetuate the myth. We were a proud club, now we are ashamed. If Venkys really cared, they would not be letting these things happen.

This is where talk the club down takes us. They’ve got enough fans now saying ‘we can’t expect to get back to the PL’ that we don’t need PL level facilities. (Until Venkys turned up we had only missed 2 years in the entirety of the PL. now they’ve made it at least eleven. Someone remind me why we are supposed to be grateful again? Pretty soon this lot will have erased everything that Jack did at this club.

It’s one thing people trying to convince themselves of such an idea to help them sleep. But to peddle this kind of clap trap in public...? Sadly the little and loud portion of our fanbase are firmly bought into the Mowbray and Waggott ethos that we are a ‘small club’. We really are doomed with these idiots at the helm. And we thought Elliott Bennett at full back was the worst of it!

Prediction: Mowbray will win one and draw two of the next five and the train will rumble on. WDL. Only when Waggott goes and there is some accountability will anything else change. Venkys will only get involved when we are in the bottom three.

Talking about our club in the ‘third person’ as though his team and Blackburn Rovers are separate entities.

Let me save you the suspense. We won’t be in the top 6 at the end of this season. If we brought in the right manager a couple of games ago, maybe even still, then we very well might. This team needs a huge lift. They are playing like they have huge weights on their shoulders and no idea what they are meant to do.
