  1. So stop inventing or skewing others’ opinions so you can knock them down. There is too much of that goes on. At least play the game so you call people out on their actual opinions that you don’t agree with and not your twist. Or carry on with the equally “passive aggressive” insults. Ironic that you’ve interpreted that phrase to your own ends though too. (Don’t worry it’s a common mistake).
  2. To demonstrate that they are better, more loyal, fans because they support the manager, the club, the players, without question. Those who do question, who demand better, are seen as pessimistic or negative, and usually made fun of. It’s been like this for a long time. Although it has got much worse since Venkys and Kean rocked up and challenged that blind loyalty to its limits. Chaddy made quite a statement earlier. A very bold prediction for this week’s business. If we don’t make those signings I’d expect him to be disappointed. He won’t be though. Or at least he won’t admit it.
  3. You should open a straw man shop. This time next year doggers.
  4. Not sure why you are struggling as I’ve previously explained. If he isn’t ready for the first team bench then he should be on loan at a L1 club with a short recall. He has already done it in L2. If the rumour I heard is true (that he has gone there for guaranteed games to get match fit) and he’s not confident in starting in a L1 side then maybe he isn’t what I hoped he was. I’m looking for the next Lenihan or Jones, not the next O’Connell or Edwards.
  5. It will certainly make a mockery of our “transfer budget” if so.
  6. Looks like the site crashed because Wharton scored the winner away against L1 opposition and the internet doesn’t want us talking about it! Meanwhile while Rovers chatter is about potentially bringing in Greer as cover.
  7. Just imagine loaning Wharton out and bringing in Greer!
  8. Yeah. Tomlin is too much like Tomlinson for my liking as well.
  9. Just shows the incredible mark up that clubs put on shirts. Wonder if Rovers are making £30 per shirt? Sell 1000 shirts at £50 and make £30,000 profit. To make that £30,000 at £30 per shirt would mean selling 3000 shirts. Would we sell three times the number of shirts at £30 than at £50? Not sure but there must be a sweet spot somewhere. Really disappointed with the shirts this season. So little thought seems to have been given to the styles. I’m reading people on Fb saying that our shirts are ‘clearly’ inspired by 91/92 and it’s an omen for promotion this season. The shirt in 92 had far more class and it had the actual club badge on it, not ‘badge-lite’. 5 minutes on a phone...
  10. FFS. Is selling shirts to fans not even on the agenda?? Another season with no shirt!
  11. Disgusting. Once again the football authorities demonstrate what is important to them. Football in this country is an absolute sham.
  12. You really do live a sheltered life my friend.
  13. (from start to finish) A Rovers official could take a dump in your garden and you’d be out planting rose seeds.
  14. That risk will have been taken off Rovers balance sheet as part of the current “cost optimisation” drive. Getting everything done last minute and on the cheap must surely be purely and simply to maximise our margins. Having our shirt as pale as possible - to the point of it being washed out and making the logo as dark as possible smacks of an deliberate agreement with the sponsor. I know there are questions about amateurism but I think it’s intentional and the reason being “needs must”. Which is why rumours Mowbray that has turned down money from the owners doesn’t fit with the current poverty line approach. Waggott hasn’t been here long enough for it to be spite. Any chance to capitalise on the feel good of last season and get fans on board has been chucked away in favour of across the board price increases and cost cuts.
  15. Bought mine up front online and got no confirmation at all. I gave it a week and called the ticket office (making online process a bit pointless if I had to call anyway) just to make sure it had gone through. It had. Still no season tickets though. Piss up and brewery spring to mind. I expect they will blame the turnstile machine operator. And all to stop adults using child tickets - something that has happened for years on an ad hoc lending basis - presumably because some adults decided to go the whole hog and ruin it for everyone. OR there was no major issue in the first place and the club have just gone tight. Looking after the fans seems to be a low priority at the moment.
  16. Neither has hosted an England game (as far as I know) but Tannadice Park and Dens Park (Dundee and Dundee United) are the closest existing grounds. If ever a club should have ground shared...
  17. If we keep winning games no-one will care. I won’t be buying one mind.
