  1. Same story, same excuses different manager. Did we not have a death spiral again, just later in the season? I agree though this summer is pivotal. We can build but if Venky's pull the rug under this management team then trouble could be ahead.
  2. or you play Dack as a false no.9. Im no fan of this but both Mowbray and JDT have tried it before
  3. Actually think the upturn in Buckley's form coincided with the arrival of Thomas. With Thomas playing there was an outlet ball alongside it allowing JRC to offer assistance coming into midfield from RB. Buckley seemed to benefit from this. Losing both Buckley and the seemingly loss of form from Thomas I feel has combined to cause a lot of Rovers problems since the semi
  4. Or they don't playing the mighty blues over two legs in play offs and go for it against us and stops us now. Then they can rest their players on the last day of the season.
  5. .......to back Burnley 3-1 with loads a wonga. Then predict its a licence to print money. That should get a Rovers win. See Penwortham I've finished your statement off
  6. Like many have said our defence of the corner Pears should have was shocking. No one took control either that be defenders or keeper. To me Pears should have demanded a good header of the ball on the front post as all there previous corners came to that area. Once the ball comes in then in the six yard box the keeper should take control and come for the ball. If their keeper comes into contact with Pears in mid air the ref would blow for a foul and hopefully their keeper is injured. Yes I know its handball but Im afraid its another case of Rovers being bullied. Until we learn to stand up for ourselves then we will always be nearly men.
  7. There was also Widnes Rugby League fans also in black n white going the other way at Hilton Park which were mistaken for Swansea fans. Im presuming they were on the way down to Wembley for the Challenge Cup Final.
  8. I too remember the 4-2 game at Ewood. He was one of the few centre forwards that gave Colin Hendry the run around. I think Martin O'Neill when manager of Leicester took the edge of him. After he took over when a defender went near him he went down to win set pieces. He definitely never fulfilled his potential but was still a good forward who on his day was hard to handle.
  9. And if the ball hadn't been lost in midfield, if the RB had closed down the break on the left, if the defence had got out and closed Doyle down quicker. It was a good shot and yes possibly a better keeper would have saved it but lets not blame him for putting out the cup. It wasn't a mistake. Kaminski was making mistakes regularly so he may have saved it but also he may have passed across his back line to a centre forward as well. Swings and roundabouts.
  10. Kaminski was also badly out of form. Im afraid he should wait for his chance as Pears has done nothing to warrant dropping
  11. Not if Tony Mowbray was manager. The Qashqai is the motor equivalent of Sam Gallagher.
  12. I too had to watch it on tele but I knew it was going to VAR. I celebrated for 1 second before stopping fearing the worst.. On the other hand for the winner I was hoping for VAR to come to the rescue
  13. Speaking of Tevez, Im surprised no one has mentioned the West Ham game where the Premiership did everything possible to stop them going down.
  14. Oddly you mention the league cup semi at Wednesday but the quarter final replay at Sheff Utd in the same week sticks in my throat more than that. It hurts just as much as this weekend's episode.
  15. We did. The rumours were going round that North End were winning.
  16. Having the full backs come into midfield does allow the likes of Travis to venture forward rather hold in front of the back four but likewise when we get caught in midfield it does allow the opposition to counter down the flanks more easily.
  17. Not if it upheld its original decision. An e-mail informing them of the decision would do.
  18. But they get pelters for the 56 passes sideways which invites a high press from the opposition
  19. Totally agree in what you saying and the example I gave was a case in point. What I will say there were cases in the first half where Wharton got pulled into midfield and got turned. It left a huge gap in defence which a better side than Wigan would have exploited. Having defenders who can come forward is fine if you have midfielders or full backs that are quick enough mentally and physically who can get into a covering position. Im sorry but we havent got that so this maybe the reason they are being told not to leave their stations.
