v Reading (h) - 15/3/23, 7:45pm

That was a huge win for us last night where we answered a lot of questions. I wasn't sure how we'd respond after a battering at Stoke and then when it went 1-1 I feared we'd drop 2 points. In the end, we obviously went onto win late on and both Norwich and West Brom dropped points. We can now enjoy the quarter final knowing we'll still be in the top 6 next time we play in the league. -
Not a good weekend for us with our result yesterday and results not going our way today. The Reading game is massive for us on Wednesday. I hope we don't go on a losing run now after we've got ourselves into a good position.

This is like watching the Leicester v Rovers game again. Sadly we are Leicester in the equation tonight. They are quicker, stronger, and more slick than us. We'll be fortunate to keep it to two. Still, after 5 wins in a row we were due an off night. -

Absolutely brilliant. Feels like we're finally on our way back. That was no fluke tonight, we were just far better in every department. -

Best performance for many years. JRC looks absolute class. -

JDT has his critics but he knows how to get results. Fantastic job he's doing here despite the dearth of attacking quality -

8 points from the last 4 games. Great stuff! First time in 10 years that we've had good defenders. What a difference it makes. -
He's definitely improved. But agree with your wider point that expectations have been downgraded since Venkys came in.
-
Biggest thing from yesterday was Diaz scoring again. Him and Dack are the only source of goals in our team so we need them to both be on form to have a sniff of top 6. Also, since when did Pears become a good GK? He's really upped his levels.
-
Two very tough away games, two very good results. Still feel the football is unwatchable but credit where it's due for two good results.
-
Good result and performance. Travis and Carter were superb. Diaz has lost his magic though.
-
Vale dropped from the squad entirely which is a good move. That should be a permanent decision. Lots of pace up top today and set up for counter attacking football. I don't rate our back five - Pears, Rankin-Costello, Carter, Wharton, Pickering - is very average.
-
Have a feeling we may win today. I think it suits us when we're facing teams who will have more possession than us.
-
Two positives from last night: Travis had his best game in a couple of years and Thomas looks like the sort of player we have been missing. Very direct and gets the ball in the box. Most of our players get the ball and pass it backwards or sideways. I thought JRC was good again but still not convinced he's good enough to be a starter for a team with aspirations of top 6. Same can be said of other starters last night - Carter, Pickering, Buckley, Vale, Pears, Travis. None of those are top 6 quality.
-
True, but this is not just about tonight. This side has been unwatchable all season. We are the worst attacking team in the league and the stats back that up.
-
This side is unwatchable. God awful game.
-
Awful as per. Vale has to come off, he offers nothing at all. We're absolutely wide open with no defensive shape.
-
A woefully out of form team who desperately need a result. Who do you wanna play in those circumstances? If Wigan get in our faces and press high on goal kicks then they will get chances as we make a lot of mistakes in possession.

January Transfer Window.

Kinda transfer related as it underlines the last few days - apparently there's not a single replica shirt in the Rovers Store at the moment. The running of the club is shambolic. Anyone who doesn't think JDT is doing a good job should just remember that there's not a single Rovers shirt in our own store! -

Pathetic. We've missed out on a quality midfielder because some forgot to fill a form in on time. O'Brien could have been the difference between play offs or not. -

Lunchtime on the 2nd Feb and we still have no idea if we made a signing on transfer deadline day or not. Anyone wondering how's it all gone badly wrong over the last 10 years, we have another good example to add to the lengthy list. -

It's not a legal thing but I vaguely remember reading about similar situations with other clubs in past windows. -

I think the deal will get approved. There seems to be enough evidence from the club to show that the deal was done before the deadline. He'll be a big signing but we're still lacking any real firepower up top. -

If Undav and O'Brien sign then we've had a blinder. Top 6 would be very much on. Only an hour to find out. -

That's more like it! Cook and O'Brien through the door. A striker too please.
