  1. I think we’ll win and Armstrong will get back on the scoresheet. We’ll hopefully have too much firepower for them.
  2. We're starting to get adrift of the top 6 a little now which is worrying. We have to stay within 5/6 points until we get Trav, Dack and Breo back. We can't afford to get another further adrift. Plenty of games to go of course but the margin for error gets smaller and smaller the further we get adrift. We need a storming Christmas period, but we tend to struggle over the festive period normally.
  3. Not a single win against a top half team. That's criminal. So frustrating that we have to work so hard for our goals yet other teams score with ease against us. The last three have been tough fixtures but we've come up short again. Another mid table season beckons I fear.
  4. Not surprised. Norwich are a very good team, probably the best in the division. Only positive is that we’re still in this game...just.
  5. Ayala has barely played this year so 3 games in 7 days would be too much for him. I’m sure that’s the thinking behind Williams getting the nod ahead of him today.
  6. I think we'll get well beaten today. They have a very good team and a top manager
  7. WOW that is a result to be proud of. Battling qualities in abundance. I didn’t see us scoring in a million years...and neither did their manager hence why he subbed quite a few of their best players. You can never discount this team and their manager has just found that out. Mind you, I don’t think TM thought we stood a chance either and decided to rest Armstrong and Rothwell for the next game after we went 2-1. Special mention to Buckley for sticking at it and digging in at RB against one of the best left backs in this league. Gallagher MOTM.
  8. When is Williams back? We need him for the next game. I believe it’s only a one game ban for Lenihan he got a red for denying a goal scoring opportunity rather than through dangerous play.
  9. Playing so well and then the game changes on its head in an instant. Buckley at right back is something I never thought I’d see, and neither did I want to see it. Needless to say I’d be delighted with a point. We had a lot of luck with the decisions against Millwall but not today.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if Johnson and Holtbh are on the bench for this one. Johnson was complaining of a sore back before the game in midweek and Holtby looked quite jaded. Trybull and Downing may come in I reckon. Then again, I may well be totally wrong.
  11. Just watched the highlights too. How has the ref not given that penalty against Lenihan at the end. The one in the first half was blatant too. Thankfully no VAR!
  12. Poor performance and a snooze fest...but a last minute goal and three points. Love it! You can get away with playing poorly when you have a top quality striker. Play like that against Brentford and we'll get well beaten, but let's enjoy this win before worrying about that.
  13. I think it’s obvious from our line up that TM doesn’t expect Millwall to do much attacking tonight. I think they will have 11 men behind the ball and try and nick a goal from a set piece. I think he’s picked Elliot over Rothwell because he’s more likely to play a killer pass.
  14. Neither looked badly injured. I think it's just a case of taking zero risks with players at the moment as there's a long season ahead.
  15. Poor performance but very promising that we have the quality to play poorly and still win. What a goal from Gallagher. Kaminski man of the match. I'm still not sure what Trybull offers, Johnson offered so much more when he came on.
  16. I think there being no crowd has hugely helped Brereton. It is way less pressure without fans in the stadium. I think the majority of fans were very supportive of him but I'm sure he could sense the frustration everytime he got the ball and mis-controlled it or gave it away (which was pretty much every time he was on the ball!). His rise over the past 6 months has been incredible. We'll struggle to keep hold of him in the summer at this rate. In fact, the whole of our front three prob won't be here next season if we don't get promoted.
  17. Fantastic win. I didn't fancy our chances before the match but it was quite clear in the opening 10 mins that we're a far superior outfit to Preston this season. I doubt we will get an easier game all season. They just gave up after we scored our second goal. Wharton, Douglas, Holtby and Brereton were the pick of the bunch for me. Gallagher produced the key moment of the match which justified the decision to start him.
  18. Wharton has been incredible so far
  19. That's true, they are harder to break down but they are worse in possession than Wycombe I reckon. I can see why they've struggled for goals.
  20. Are Preston even worse than Wycombe? They're abysmal
  21. Looks like they have a few first teamers missing and a pretty weak bench. A big opportunity for us.
  22. Not hugely confident about this one. We have been poor in evening games so far this season, I wasn't impressed by our performance at the weekend, and Preston always seem to get the better of us. I'm pleased they got their first home win at the weekend as you just know they'd break that duck against us otherwise. I still feel we're a bit of a soft touch and too nice to play against.
  23. We were poor today so not a bad point in that respect. However, we’ve now played 12 games and are sitting firmly in mid table and 7 points off the play offs. That’s very poor, especially when we have the top scorer in the league.
  24. Good line up. Good to see Douglas back in the team. Not heard of many of their players and not seen them play this season so I'm not sure what to expect from them. Interesting to see Ryan Tunnicliffe on the bench. His stock has fallen dramatically.
