Rovers v Barnsley. Sat 28 Nov 3pm

Poor performance but very promising that we have the quality to play poorly and still win. What a goal from Gallagher. Kaminski man of the match. I'm still not sure what Trybull offers, Johnson offered so much more when he came on. -
I think there being no crowd has hugely helped Brereton. It is way less pressure without fans in the stadium. I think the majority of fans were very supportive of him but I'm sure he could sense the frustration everytime he got the ball and mis-controlled it or gave it away (which was pretty much every time he was on the ball!). His rise over the past 6 months has been incredible. We'll struggle to keep hold of him in the summer at this rate. In fact, the whole of our front three prob won't be here next season if we don't get promoted.

Fantastic win. I didn't fancy our chances before the match but it was quite clear in the opening 10 mins that we're a far superior outfit to Preston this season. I doubt we will get an easier game all season. They just gave up after we scored our second goal. Wharton, Douglas, Holtby and Brereton were the pick of the bunch for me. Gallagher produced the key moment of the match which justified the decision to start him. -

That's true, they are harder to break down but they are worse in possession than Wycombe I reckon. I can see why they've struggled for goals. -

Are Preston even worse than Wycombe? They're abysmal -

Looks like they have a few first teamers missing and a pretty weak bench. A big opportunity for us. -

Not hugely confident about this one. We have been poor in evening games so far this season, I wasn't impressed by our performance at the weekend, and Preston always seem to get the better of us. I'm pleased they got their first home win at the weekend as you just know they'd break that duck against us otherwise. I still feel we're a bit of a soft touch and too nice to play against. -

We were poor today so not a bad point in that respect. However, we’ve now played 12 games and are sitting firmly in mid table and 7 points off the play offs. That’s very poor, especially when we have the top scorer in the league. -

Good line up. Good to see Douglas back in the team. Not heard of many of their players and not seen them play this season so I'm not sure what to expect from them. Interesting to see Ryan Tunnicliffe on the bench. His stock has fallen dramatically. -

Kaminski is in the house! That's a big boost to our chances of winning today.. -
Rovers v QPR Sat 7th November

Much needed and much deserved win. What a difference Rothwell, Johnson, Kaminski make to this team. It also obviously goes without saying how important Armstrong is to us. I said before the two games this week that 4 points would be a good return and that's what we got. As Phillip said above, we're not too badly positioned in the table and the gap could have been a lot worse. Hopefully we can now get the majority of our players back and push on. Rothwell was exceptional today, Johnson made a big difference, JRC had one of his best games, and Breo continues to establish himself as one of the most important cogs in our team. Wharton looks like he's improved a lot. He's a good old fashioned defender who will head and kick anything that comes his way. His distribution is poor but overall I was impressed. Elliot didn't do a lot but he's got that little bit of magic that can change a game. What a ball for the crucial second goal. A special talent. I'm going to enjoy an international break for once! -

I have a feeling Armstrong will be back tomorrow and will score. Despite our high number of absentees, we should have enough to win this one. I don’t rate QPR at all and think they’ll be bottom 8 come the end of the season. -

Trybull now injured too and William's definitely out of the game at the weekend. You really can't make it up. There is no question that our huge injury list is impacting our results. I don't think anyone in the division is dealing with as many absentees as we are at the moment. Delighted with the 0-0 tonight, but I think that in itself sums up how terrible we've been lately. If we have Arma and Kaminski back at the weekend, and a slightly fitter Rothwell, we could get a win. -

That was horrible to watch but a good result in the end. No idea how we took anything from that game. I said before the game I'd snap your hand off for four points from the next two games. Pears made some good saves, Wharton was very good when he came on, and Evans is much better in a central role. Del injured - you couldn't make it up. -

Diabolical first half. Well done to the back 4, they have been outstanding with zero protection from the midfield. Rothwell has to come on at half time. Have we won a second ball yet? -

Surely a change of shape with Holtby and Trybull sitting and Elliot in the “Dack role” -

I think the next two games are all about damage limitation before we get our better players back. I would snap your hand off now for 4 points from the next two games. To put into context, we have our best striker missing, our best playmaker, our best midfielder, our best defender, our best gk, and both of our left backs missing. I'm not sure any team could cope with that in any division. I think it makes sense to not play Armstrong tomorrow night. We can't afford to lose him for a couple of months. Forget the pretty stuff tomorrow, play the ball forward quickly, pick up the second balls, and get lots of crosses into the box for Gallagher. -
Great news and very well timed. We need his quality and experience at the moment, especially as it means Evans is pushed further down the pecking order.

I fear another loss in this one. I suspect Armstrong won’t feature and none of the absentees will be back, so we’re going to be weaker than we have been for the the past two games where we’ve been dreadful. We will have most of the possession, play some pretty football, create some decent chances...but they’ll probably score from a set price or a counter attack and we’ll end up losing. Sadly all too predictable at the moment. Desperately need the international break. I do still very much believe we can push for the top 6 when we have the majority of our players available again. The worry is how much ground we’ll have to make up by the time we can get our players back. A frustrating season so far. Just when we assemble a good squad, half of them aren’t available. -
Absolute Garbage. Not quite sure where we go from here. We've come up short against every half decent team we've played this season.
-
Fed up of pretty football and absolutely no solidity. Way too easy to score against us. Something has to change.
-
Oh dear. Feeling a loss is coming with that team news
-
Exactly. Look at seasons gone past, the table often looks very different at the end of the season than after 8 games. Brentford were sitting in 14th after 9 games last season, for example.
