  1. What a pathetic and misleading article. Not a mention of the redevelopment of a new training complex, Alan?
  2. Just go. 90% of the fan base no longer back you. We have had enough of this rubbish.
  3. He’s completely out of his depth now that the ambition is to get promoted rather than just plod along in mid table. Hughton sets his teams up very well, builds from the back and gets them doing the basics right. Nothing exciting but it gets results in the long term. We can only dream of that. TM is trying to get us to play champagne football on quicksand. It’s bonkers.
  4. You can play all the passes in the world, and have the most touches in the box, and any other stat TM wants to throw our way to suggest we're making progress but the reality is you have to do the basics well, which we don't and never have done under TM, before you can make any genuine progress. The defensive shape is as bad now as it was on the first day he arrived.
  5. Not wasting any more money on the game today or the rest of the season so I can't comment on the game, but when does the penny drop with the club that this is no longer working and TM has to go? This season is turning/has turned into a shambles.
  6. The lack of communication from the club about this was very poor and there's no doubt this statement is in reaction to an eagle eyed supporter seeing the planning application. All poor communication does is allow conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory to be pumped out there. I don't believe this is a sinister attempt by Venky's to claw some money back from the club. The fact the players have recently had to train at Ewood when bad weather hit would suggest the training facilities aren't quite fit for purpose anymore. Plus, isn't it commonplace for the top clubs to have one training complex for their senior and academy squad?
  7. I think TM is certainly feeling the heat now. At the beginning of the season he was saying "we're blackburn rovers, we have to expect to be challenging for the top 6". Now the line has changed to "We're only blackburn rovers, we haven't been in the prem for years so we need to be realistic". I agree that we haven't been a prem league force for years and we shouldn't expect to be challenging for promotion simply because we were once a very good prem league team. However, what we should expect is that a club with one of the most talented squads in the division should be challenging for promotion, not 10 points off the pace. Do Cardiff, Barnsley, and even Reading have better squads than ours? I think TM knows the job is beyond his skillset but this is his last big payday. He's not going to give that up lightly. Would you?
  8. Clearly Nyambe's agent has told the club he won't be signing a new deal. Nyambe wouldn't be the sort of person to have a bust-up so I'm pretty sure it's down to the contractual situation.
  9. He's a mid table championship manager whose got no clue how to organise a defence or get results consistent results. There's no excuses this year. He's been backed to the hilt with new signings and has a hugely talented squad. Unlike previous seasons, mid table is a huge failure this year.
  10. One good month followed by a dreadful month. All too predictable. Well past the time to make a managerial change yet it's still not happened.
  11. How many more times. Just go TM!
  12. This is like watching a lge 2 game. That is probably the division Gally should be playing in.
  13. Last nights results were another death knell in our promotion bid. It looks like there's one place up for grabs - and Cardiff look like they're going to be the team that comes from nowhere to snatch it. Tough game tonight but I think we'll win it. Barnsley like to play out from the back and pass the ball around, that suits our style of play more than teams that sit back and play for second balls.
  14. I'm still fuming about what we saw last night. A huge game against very average opponents and we simply weren't up for it. We got out fought in every department. Make no mistake, Preston are a very poor team yet they are level on points with us now. That in itself tells you how poor we've been this season. TM has no idea how to change a game. You only have to look at our results when we've conceded first this season. I think that it's sinking in with TM that he's reached his limit here and he doesn't have the skillset to take us any further. What got us here won't get us to where we want to go.
  15. Is anyone surprised? The wheels come off everytime. What a waste of a very talented squad of players, some of whom will leave in the summer.
  16. Whatever the result here, just go Tony. One month followed by a dreadful one is all too familiar. A dodgy pen doesn't cloud my judgement, that was simply embarrassing.
  17. Chair from QPR looks like a very good player. Would love us to go for him to spice up our attack.
  18. Genuine question: have we ever won (or even scored?) when we’ve played a false 9? Cant fathom why it’s ever used unless you don’t have a fit striker.
  19. Why overcomplicate it time and time again. Put players in their best positions and let them get on with it.
  20. Get near the top 6 and then we crash and burn. Rinse and repeat.
  21. This won't be an easy game at all. Not see them play much this season but I don't expect them to just sit back, that could leave some space in behind for Arma. 1-1
  22. He was very poor at Sunderland (twice), Middlesbrough, Wolves and Hull. If you asked fans at some of those clubs they'd prob say he's one of the worst strikers they've had. However, if you used him in the right way then he was a very, very good striker, as he proved here.
  23. Danny retires. A shocking player for many clubs but he was fantastic here. A great fit for us during a challenging period for the club.
  24. We're firmly back in play off contention. Let's not blow it this time.
