I appreciate posters sharing news that they've heard as that's what a forum is all about. I'm sure it's all posted in good faith but I'm pretty certain TM will still be here come the final game of the season. Our club is way down the priority list of the owners and acting now would add to their list of problems. It's easier for them to do nothing at all and carry on as usual. The summer may be when a change is made but I think its pie in the sky to think anything will happen before then sadly. I hope I'm wrong.

Put the man out of his misery, Venkys. He's basically said in his interview that he deserves to be sacked but its not his decision. This talk of doing the honourable thing and walking away if things weren't working was nonsense. He's not someone who's going to walk into another highly paid job after his time ends here, he'll be lge 1 at best. He needs that pay off. The blame is firmly at the owners door imo.

Arma sums up the rapid decline in the team. Been hopeless second half of the season.

We're lucky Rotherham are losing and the number of games is down to a small number. Another 10 and we'd be gonners. The wheels have come off completely and are not coming back on anytime soon.

From Tony's reaction after speaking to Dack when being carried down the tunnel, I fear another year long absence for Dacky here.

Rothwell and Elliott coming on. What do we do next season when those two are not here, our 20 goal striker has gone, and a top RB is no longer here?

This all needs a huge rethink in the summer, we're miles off it. A striking trio of Gallagher, Dolan, Brereton is relegation fodder. Dolan works hard but I dont see a lot of quality there. Defensive shape is non-existent as it has been for four years (actually since Big Sam left). The club needs new ideas and a new direction. I dont think I can even watch the second half of this dross.

Watching Gallagher trying to play football is painful. He's a lge 1 player at best.

Wide open at the back again. Twice in 9 minutes they've had a 4 on 2 situation. That's why TM needs to go. Cannot set teams up defensively.

Didn't see the game but it sounded like the next generation - Buckley, Dolan, and Rankin-Costello - all shone brightly. Good result but sadly pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Most important thing for the rest of the season is to give the younger players a run in the team and get them ready for next season. No point playing the likes of Harvey ahead of Dolan now. Harvey is a fantastic player but he's not ours and won't be here next season. Trybull staking a late claim to get a permanent contract here?

For anyone that reads the Nicko gossip column in The Sun, the “whispers” section seems to be referring to Mowbray potentially getting fired because of the Ayala signing. To paraphrase: Which championship manager’s job may be on the line after being urged NOT to sign an injury prone defender last summer, only to then go and give him a 3 year deal. He’s barely played since due to injury.

I suppose everyone wins on the tombola occasionally. It is a big result as it probably means it's unlikely we'll now be dragged into a relegation battle.

This is so, so easy for Reading. There's absolutely nothing about our team. The occasion nice passage of passing but it goes absolutely nowhere, and we're wide open at the back. The set up of the team is so unbelievably bad.
