  1. Quite, on the contrary he's given Gallagher a new contract! He seems to think Gallagher can play anywhere. My view is more "is there anywhere Gallagher can play?' Surely he's a central striker or nothing? If we don't want to play one then he shouldn't play at all.
  2. I can pinpoint exactly where we went wrong tonight--we had 52% possession!
  3. I'm old enough to remember the day we scored 9 against Middlesborough at Ewood. The fog that day was incredible. We were certain the game would be called off. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/13329937.record-breakers-thrilling-1954-55-season-just-start-blackburn-rovers-legend-bryan-douglas/
  4. Sorry to hear you are addicted to alcohol Biz. Good luck with fighting that. It doesn't mean its alright to advertise something else addictive though.
  5. Gee you're a bit sensitive aren't you?If its not healthy, let's not assist it eh?
  6. Rothwell has said in the last couple of days that he's never enjoyed his football as much as he is now. Surely the means he doesn't want to go provided we pay him what he thinks he's worth. I've no idea what he's asking for but, if is anything like reasonable, we should conclude a new deal with him? If we go up, salaries will all rise anyway.
  7. Another fact---safer is not the same as safe.
  8. Vaping creates addiction to nicotine. How can that possibly healthy? Its less damaging to the lungs because you don't get the tar, but its not healthy. Far from it.
  9. "a little bit"---I can agree with that!
  10. I'll put my scraggy ones on then!
  11. Mike Ashley will sort it out I'm sure!
  12. A pretty clear evaluation of Wharton's value to us from Lancs Live: Wharton's unbeaten streak In the 104 league fixtures that Scott Wharton has played in his career (including play-off fixtures), the defender has lost just 22. Note that this includes loan spells at Cambridge United, Bury, Lincoln City and Northampton Town. It's staggering. Since returning to Rovers following his successful stint with Northampton, the team have not lost any one of the 17 league matches Wharton's participated in. The fixture against Brentford in December 2020 had the potential to tarnish that record as he was stretchered off with an Achilles fracture but even on that occasion, Jacob Davenport's rescue act ensured this phenomenal streak remains intact today. Besides just his winning mentality, Wharton's presence has fast become an imperative feature in the success of this Rovers side. He brings a balance to the defensive unit and his ability to slide a pass when Rovers are operating in their own third is crucial to alleviating pressure. It doesn't matter whether it's 15-yards through the needle to a forward or a 50-yard switch, Wharton's got the pass in his locker.
  13. Good music that has stood the test of time.
  14. The only one to be given an acceptable new contract! You couldn't make it up.😭
  15. Yes, I've been wondering about him. He went from prolific poster on football matters only, to completely absent. Give us a word Stuart to tell us if you're OK---if you are OK that is.
  16. 3 day tests the norm with England now!
  17. Pears should have taken the match ball home after that game.
  18. That team is starting to get on my nerves!
  19. That group of lads is absolutely flying eh? A year or two on could be a very good time to be a Rover!
  20. Can't help reflecting that once again possession had no impact on the result of this game. We had 34%!
  21. That would mean TM admitting he'd dropped a bullock with Pears!
  22. We are very dependent on him playing every game. Wrap him up in cotton wool and let him out on match days. The alternative is unthinkable.
  23. !974 that 3-0 Cup defeat at Everton. We weren't 3-0 worse but we were a poor second that day.
