  1. It doesn't seem that Tony wants rid of him though? Although he has seemed to pick on him somewhat in the past so you could be right. If you are, then its not a question of money at all, as we were led to believe?
  2. Not for me you don't. Anyone this obsessed does have an agenda it seems to me.
  3. We can't afford to give Nyambe the pay rise he seeks but we can afford to buy a better player (in your view) for a sizeable fee and give him a pay deal that will satisfy him? Righto!!!!
  4. He didn't send Van Hecke off---he easily could have.
  5. My daughter's partner is a Norwich supporter and we chat a lot about football. Increasingly, our conversations theses days are about "what's the point"? He was elated last season, as he has been before, only to be in misery this season, as he has before. Would we be the same if we went up? Its not like when we were last promoted is it?
  6. It exactly what you said! "As for BB - those who said he was “hopeless” contributed to his lack of confidence, in my opinion of course." How is that not blaming fans? Yet you have no problem in posting this "To expect a 19 year old to light up the team, in a new position, with fleeting appearances - was a ridiculous expectation." So ridiculous that nobody ever had it! You made it up!
  7. Deluded if they can't see farther than Dyche being the problem.
  8. That is just nonsense. Rovers fans to blame for Brereton's early form---behave yourself! To expect a £7M player (a lot at the time) to at least function in a Championship team was the minimum we could expect. He played fleetingly and in the wrong position because Mowbray had to justify the purchase.
  9. You're surely not suggesting we take a chance with another player who might come good in 3 years time are you? We want to get promoted this season don't we? All those things that people said about Brereton were true at the time. For almost 3 years he was hopeless. Now if the point of this club is to wallow in the bottom half of the Championship forever while paying large sums for players who can't contribute for a long time, then by all means sign another Brereton. Good for the owners---bugger all use to us. Clubs like UTD and Liverpool can operate this way but I'd suggest we can't. Not if we want the rest of the fans to depart.
  10. Don't forget to wear your Rovers shirt!
  11. Possibly the best outcome. Dolan could come in for Rothwell. He's always looked to me like a No 10. Not that I want to lose Rothwell though. At last we seem to have depth in the squad, the subs bench looks strong. Maybe that's another factor in our rise---competition for places.
  12. Reminds me of Roy Vernon. Looked about 8st dripping wet. Didn't hold hm back! Mind you Roy could shoot...
  13. I feel the same about Butterworth but he can't even get cameo role these days! I hope we don't lose him.
  14. They have negotiated and so far failed to make a deal. Meanwhile, according to your definition, the club encourages Hedges to screw his club.
  15. He scuffs it. All the keeper has to do is get down on one knee and wait for it to arrive! Surely this can be coached?
  16. Yes--what happened to those big changes we were meant to see? It wouldn't be Waggot bull-shitting to a fan would it?
  17. All this talk about who we should sign! We've got to third with what we have. I'd be happy with keeping them all and having cover at right-back. Oh, and get rid of Clarkson and maybe loan someone else. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The more players we have, the more fiddling around from Mowbray.
  18. An American rip-off I think you'll find. Took for themselves the £53M Burnley had carefully built up over several seasons. "lent" the club money to keep going and charged it 12% interest. Club now over £50M in debt! They are not football fans those owners, they are money men. Should not be allowed, the rules are crap.
  19. Very complacent here. We might move on, we'll have no choice, the issue is will we move down? Losing 3 of your very best players doesn't seem a recipe for success to me! Might never get another chance of promotion like this for years. We can keep this side together to the end of the season and therefore we should.
  20. If only he could shoot!
  21. And once again the opposition had easily the most possession!!
  22. That's what I said! If you expect to sell Brereton for £25M and see Mowbray given £25M (or anything like it) to spend on players, you're going to be disappointed too!
