  1. He's one for the future surely? in the meantime we have to keep him interested.
  2. Worry about Dolan. If he's frozen out, plenty will come for him.Doesn't deserve it really.
  3. My apologies, teach me to read it properly!
  4. Let's hope its with us!
  5. Dolan is a player who needs regular first-team football too, will this signing push him down the list?
  6. Well what sort of argument is that? Any player is at risk of serious injury at any time, its a part of the game. If we can't sign good players because they might get injured, what's the point of it all. Shouldn't have signed that Shearer ---too risky.
  7. That's the reason why we don't want any sales!! That's not a reason for failing to bring in some cover. Some would risk us fielding an under-strength team as injuries/suspension take hold.
  8. Nyambe's greatest asset is his speed up and down the right flank. A central position would rob us of this asset.
  9. You're dead right there! Up amongst the 4 or 5 worst grounds in the whole League. For a Rovers supporter anyway!
  10. Surely it will be better for us if we go up! We're third, not first or second and if we stay in the 6 its still a lottery in the play-offs and you're happy with a make-shift Johnson? He's always injured anyway. "Nyambe can probably do a job centrally in a crisis'? Bloody hell! do we want promotion or not?
  11. Especially with Ayala's record of injury. I can't see MacGloire stepping up and Philips surely isn't ready?
  12. Woods is 30, seems a bonkers size fee to me. What's Diaz worth then? In our situation, keeping emphasis on developing the young uns seems very much the way to go. No point developing into them into regular first-teamers however if you don't pay them salaries to match. After all, this way we save on massive transfer fees.
  13. I haven't and you are just dodging the question. I've specifically said that none of us know the numbers. I have however said on several occasions what I suspect the likely situation is. Unlike you though I've never stated it as fact.
  14. We can hardy complain when the same is done for us.
  15. Desperate stuff. I know you always try to defend the club whenever you can but this particular decision was ridiculous. That's 2 decent keepers he's got rid of and we only have one in Kaminski.
  16. It also means valuing players you sign above those who have been with us since they were kids. And, historically, we have always done that. Fergy made some comment to that effect when he pinched David May off us.
  17. We could also just give up and accept that the height of our ambition is to stay in the Championship. In fact, it often looks like we have. 11 years and counting!
  18. Well they would say that wouldn't they? Why you simply believe it without knowing what the offer was I can't understand.
  19. It makes you wonder. If we don't go up this season, how could we ever go up given our salary cap? We need to have a side with several graduates from the Academy in it because we can't buy our way out of the Championship. But when some come good, we can't apparently give them a pay rise commensurate with what they could get elsewhere. They leave, possibly to Championship rivals, and we start again! Its not exactly a recipe for success is it?
  20. If we are looking for reinforcements we could have done much worse than that.
  21. No its the "Yawn Thread".
  22. Cheers me up no end!
